April 4 (Reuters) - Shares in U.S. makers of everything fromplanes to semiconductors fell on Wednesday after Chinaretaliated against the Trump administration's tariff plans,putting a number of large U.S. companies at risk of fallout froman escalating trade war. China hit back against U.S. President Donald Trump's plansto impose tariffs on $50 billion in Chinese goods with similartariffs on U.S. goods, even as Trump said the country is "not ina trade war with China." Among the most affected by a trade war could be the U.S.technology sector, particularly chipmakers, many of which haveseen their shares tumble this month as Trump took aim at China. S&P 500 semiconductor companies rely on China for about 24percent of their revenue, according to Thomson Reuters data.Customers and licensees in China accounted for close to 60percent of Qualcomm's revenue last year, according to acompany filing.
