Alba Mineral Resources PLC - mineral exploration and development - Surface trenching activities set to begin this week a first of its ten regional gold targets at the Dolgellau gold field in Wales. Conditions to the planning permission for the first phase of surface trenching have been met and key contractors engaged. Executive Chair George Frangeskides notes: "This work is particularly exciting as it involves the excavation and sampling of virgin areas of bedrock which have never previously been subjected to examination for their gold content." Additional applications will be submitted to local planning authority for further phases of trenching at other gold targets, depending on results from first phase.
