Anglo Asian Mining says the lastest estimate on the gold resource at its Gedabek gold/copper mine in Azerbaijan has increased to 704,000 ounces of gold.Anglo Asian CEO Reza Vaziri said, "We are delighted to announce this upgraded resource which, after taking account of ore already mined, gives a total gold uplift across the Measured and Indicated resource categories of 31.2%. Outplacement group Savile has agreed to acquire 7days Limited, a consultant on restructuring, cost reduction, strategy implementation, leadership & talent development, and culture change.The acquisition has been satisfied by the payment of £1.29m in cash, and the issue of in total 1.4m shares of Savile to Louise Palmer. Last year, 7days made approximately £330,000 pre tax profit before exceptional items, on gross fee income of £2.2m. Net assets at 31 May were £56,000.Shares in investment company Creon slumped to a 52-week low after the board said it is still fishing around for something worthwhile to invest in. The board anticipates making an investment during the course of the next 12 months.The company's interim figures were threadbare, with the pre-tax loss for the six months to 31 July narrowing to £50,000 from £96,000 the year before, on zero revenue, compared to revenue of £4,000 last year.Global Petroleum soom expects to start to generate revenue from its interest in Tyler Ranch #6. Global has a 11.25% net revenue interest in the Leighton project, which has seven wells including the latest. Their gross production in the quarter to September 2010 was 530 boepd.Australian energy company Altona Energy saw losses before tax double in the year to end June but claimed it had made significant progress towards the commercialisation of its main business venture, an integrated mine and coal-to-liquids plant in the Arckaringa Basin of South Australia.Loss before tax widened to £2.6m from £1.3m the year before. The company has no revenue stream.
