Ariana Reports "Significant Improvement" In Kizilcukur Estimate

(Alliance News) - Ariana Resources PLC on Monday reported an improved resource estimate at its Kizilcukur project in Turkey.

The global mineral resource estimate has been improved to roughly 21,156 ounces of gold and 616,578 ounces of silver.

"This is a significant improvement over the previous resource estimate, which integrates the latest drilling data and geological modelling. Most of the resource now sits within the lower risk measured and indicated categories, in comparison to the previous estimate which contained only indicated and inferred resources. This is largely the result of the in-fill diamond drilling that was completed on the higher-grade Zeki Vein in early 2019," Ariana Managing Director Kerim Sener said.

Shares in the company closed 0.3% lower at 3.44 pence each in London on Monday.

Ariana Resources PLC - exploration firm with interests in Turkey - Posts a pretax profit of GBP7.7 million in 2021, up 51% from GBP5.1 million the previous year. Company says the main driver of this increase was the partial disposal of its interest in Turkey in February. Ariana reduced its 50% interest in the Kiziltepe mine and 100% interest in the Salinbas project to a collective 24%. Looking forward, company aims to advance its long-term interest in south-eastern Europe and to start investing in "high-impact early-stage exploration opportunities".
