Trust Issues

Monday, 7th December 2015 08:46 - by Moosh

I trust few people. Indeed, there are lots of people who can tell me lots about how great value a share is, or how something is such a ‘screaming BUY’ and some can even post hundreds of times a day saying what amounts to the same thing in order to keep them visible amongst the chatters and appear as though they are on the ball to any newbies who may require someone to look up to and follow.

That’s all well and good, but what I really want to know alongside the ‘hard sell’ is, WHAT IS THE RSI POSITION? That’s all. I don’t have any problems with chatters trying to impress me or others with their supposed endless knowledge on particular aspects of a company we may have missed but at the same time as telling me all this, at least give me an idea of what the daily relative strength index is – I don’t think that is too much to ask. I understand the basics of timing an investment and if a share is a hidden gem then I would like to know about it when the RSI is oversold. I don’t really want to be patronised or conned by people who may or may not know anything about timing of an investment using basic technical indicators which the average 13-year old can understand. It’s worse if someone does understand the basics of timing and withholds the information because they think any readers won’t be able to understand it so they don’t mention it and hope enough people buy the ‘hard sell car salesman’ speech. If some consider themselves as the go-to guy/gal, then I need to be sure that I’m being told the relevant information when RSI is oversold or if a trend is in stage 1 or 2. I certainly don’t want to be cornered by some heavy-hitting chat which makes me feel as though I will be the idiot who misses out if I don’t buy it once a share has already moved a great deal and is already well into stage 3-4 of an uptrend where the RSI may be heavily overbought in a company which is still very much ‘jam tomorrow’, as many are on the AIM market.

If you like any of the companies I feature then I hope I give you enough time to research them once they enter the RSI Zone. I have also explicitly stated how trends work and that one should avoid being a buyer during late stage 3 or stage 4 so I have absolutely nothing to hide here – I have been as open as I can be.
