Patiently waiting

The strangest thing has been happening lately. For such a long time, I have had a portfolio where I have been wishing that the share price would increase. Recently, I found that I was sitting watching the live share prices on my watch-list and thinking ‘Please come down…just another little bit…almost there’. Of course, the irony of it was not lost on me. You see, having sold out of a few companies and wanting to get back in at lower prices, I was willing them down (apologies in advance to any holders). It did make me realise something. I was no longer an investor or trader who just jumped in regardless. I was now patiently waiting for my entry point. If it didn’t arrive, then so be it. However, if the share price came to where I expected to get in then, hopefully, the next couple of ticks up in the share price would be my profit.
