Cycling was especially hard today. Could it have been the bottle of wine that was almost completely finished off last night? Could it have been the longer than usual cycle due to it being Sunday? Or even the slightly flat looking front tyre or the chain coming off the bike? There is something very unglamorous about having muddy knees and oily hands, but at least I got the bike chain back on. So why do it? What is the benefit? Well, there are the nice calf muscles, and I may even one day treat myself to a pair of those Louboutin shoes as favoured by the lse member RichTea. But seriously, I have been cycling now for 2-3 months, out 4 or 5 times a week and the benefits of having a clear head are good. For me, I especially like cycling during the week. I get up and have breakfast, get ready and then check for 7am RNS news. I like it when there is news as I read the information and then go for a cycle to work out just how that news is likely to affect me. When I’m cycling I think about what is most likely to happen to a share price and what should be my best plan of action. There will always be unexpected news, and possibly bad news. I can’t change that news, but I can work out a plan of action with a clear mind. So, cycling has been helping my trading. What about you? Is there something you do that helps you trade?
