Nichols plc Share Price (NICL)

Same to you Fred, hope you are on the mend.

Hopefully all the restructuring (OoH) is out of the way now, and steady, if unexciting, growth returning. All eyes on any announcements re distributing excess cash to shareholders, slated for an update mid year. NICL does generate cash, so if the business can settle down and put recent struggles (Covid, OoH, removing some senior staff) behind it, there should be better days ahead.

Any share buy backs should have positive effect on share price, given thin market. Although a capital restructure might be on the cards to address that problem. Just have to wait and see.

Yes, had considered a buy, but also put off re largish spread !

Personally I think this is a steady little earner. held long...however, I still think it needs outside influence in the boardroom to shake off this '' flatline '' effect the company is going through. As is, it will just plod on relying on the same old. imo.

Considered "top up" with this years ISA but seeing massive gap between Buy and Sell price ! Invested elsewhere with little difference in value of the trades. A pity the huge gap at Nichols.

Having gone ex. divi. the sp has slumped again. I can see no reason for the market being so negative to this company !

Well Uh-oh, i think you are correct. The company is indeed trading well. The results to-day certainly justified a boost in the sp. an Aim share to stay with for a steady long term investment and there are few of those about!
