Just jesting really; I certainly do not think you work for WSG.
Thanks though for the clarification; and I do agree with Dodger's post re decent poster.
Wishing all a relaxing weekend.
Thanks Dodger, very kind of you.
McD: Dodger is right, I certainly don’t have £400k invested...not that lucky...I’m not Martyn.
If I was PF I’d be nowhere near posting on BBs. That’s the sort of thing that the FCA takes a very dim view of. But I’d also not be replying to many emails from PIs....that’s what investor relations are for.
This thing has certainly not given me sleepless nights, but I think I’ve checked for an RNS at 7am just about every day for maybe 4 years. I’ll be happy when I don’t have to do that so much.
Good morning all
McDoule
I think Aiming_high seems to suggest that when/if the SP hits 50p his WSG holding will be worth £400k.
Back in October 2013, when WSG's SP reached 95p, my holding was worth something similar. My problem was that I didn't take profits, a mistake that I really regret.
There are quite a few long term holders with large share holdings, and Martyn with his millions will certainly be very wealthy if the 50p ever comes to fruition.
He wasn't saying he would have £400k. Seems a decent poster in my view (one of few)
"and my final point is that if thing hit's 50p and i have £400k invested in a single AIM stock then i'm not getting much sleep each night"
AIM, I am beginning to wonder if you are PF or his RNS writer; there is a familiar double meaning to this post i.e. are your shares currently valued at £400k or only when/if the shares hit 50p! Either way, I'll be having sleepless nights now.
and there will plenty of people on here talking this up just as they start to divest....like Investinvalue did..they'll talk their book right up to the point that they're out and then they'll admit it.
and my final point is that if thing hit's 50p and i have £400k invested in a single AIM stock then i'm not getting much sleep each night
Feeks: my take is that the RNS lands, the share price jumps, i take some profits. there is plenty of upside left....IF they can deliver on some of the other prospects. i could easily see the share price getting a little out of hand on the Tema RNS (assuming the contract length is good), in which case it could well drop back if nothing else materialises for 6 months or more.
by your rationale you shouldn't top slice until there is no more future potential...this is AIM, there is always future promises of (more) jam tomorrow....so you'd only ever get out when the company got taken over..or went bust
Agreed Only1Gibbo. I dont understand this top slice method for a stock which can rise sub substantially in the future if it does the Tema deal. Its a safety first approach which would be more appropriate now whialt uncertaintiees remain. I am fully loaded but I am also poised to add substantially on contract news. Just dont tell my wife this.
wouldn't be surprised if they decided to move to the main market sooner than later, WSG will be a different animal soon
If only that were true Aiming, if only! lol.
Feeks: that could well work out very nicely.....no doubt once Tema comes good there will be plenty of talk of dividends (not something that i think we'll have to worry about for a long time). If they did get into a position where they could start to return capital to shareholders then you could keep holding for the foreseeable. I suspect that it will get taken out before then though.
My strategy is to keep adding, like I started doing in July. Before that I watched this for a full 7 years before making my move! First invested about 10 years ago but messed up totally the last time it multi-bagged. Note: Some of my dates need fact-checking..
My strategy is linked to svs in many ways...... ie stuck until the administration process tucks my shares in to a new broker. In some ways good as by next March the new dock in tema will be open and wsg will be making shed loads of Wonga. B
Gibbo: clearly there speaks a man who hasn't gradually been sucked into over investing in this pup over many years! ;-)
If i kept my full holding beyond 50p the daily swings in my portfolio value would start to get a little silly
once i've taken a bit of profit i'll do some BB searches for "imminent", "coming weeks" and "massive deviation from core experience and into ferry services" to find some more fun filled investment opportunities.
My strategy will be to sell 0% post RNS. There's a lot more to come from this.
My strategy will be to sell 20-25% post RNS (hopefully 40p+).
I intend to keep the rest and see how things play out over the next year.
I haven't seen any other companies with such high potential. Granted it is all still potential and we all know how things have gone over the last few years, but I firmly believe landing Tema will put us in a whole different league.
Both in ease of winning other tenders and also market sentiment.
i wouldn't say no to a touch of top slicing myself....but that will be post RNS...and hopefully well above 30p
i have a similar long term view to you H&N (i think) - i.e. the fundamental underlying business is sound and there are a whole bunch of opportunities that could be "transformational"...even on top of Tema which should by then have already transformed the business.
a number have top sliced, flipped their trading stock...particularly judging by the comments on here...fair dos...it's all about making a turn. Just looking forward to the news flow over the coming months myself.
