Well lol i didnt see you post but that exactly what i did sold at 2.72 and spilt 50 50 with aviva and L&G got in at 2..66 and 1.71 i very nearly sold at 2.10 to buy them i be honest did think the bid price could have gone to the 3 mark but definitely didnt think it go to the 4 mark and that looking extremely unlikely now
C0mmonSense - Something else to bare in mind is the possible changes to CGT most likely coming into play before the sale completes
It’s looking that way , but we all know there not just getting the 272 like the rest of us , it’s a disgrace
Guys and Gals I said to you months ago that this is a done deal 2.72 will be accepted.
Check out the Done brothers comment just recently in the press
I am sure most of us made a decent profit on WH shares move on to long term as I said at the time Aviva and legal and general GLA
Just come home for lunch, interesting price. WHM plc only has outdated major shareholder info
https://www.williamhillplc.com/investors-centre/shareholder-centre/major-shareholders/
I wonder if the market now has concerns that it will be rejected. WHM does have a lot of PI’s but I would think most would just not bother voting.
Looking at the vote window (if I’m reading it correctly) vote count is the 17th so you could sell on the 18th and your vote will still count? Happy to be corrected.
Is not great, but to be expected given he wants to pick the meat off the carcass.
Our only hope is the institutions voting this down but I can't see it now tbh.
Question now is whether to take the money now and put somewhere else, or wait for the 2.5% in the summer

Bad News!
It helps that I think we've all managed to make a profit. Good luck everybody, hope you use your profits wisely.
This is a great post message site, iam also in Cineworld there site is brutal ,
Any ideas on a decent online broker mine is crap haven’t even got my voting form yet
Novice, I’ll 2nd that , an informative and polite board. Makes a difference. Good luck all and let’s hope the vote goes our way.
This is the week when we know our future ! Whatever way the vote goes I sincerely wish everybody who's been posting on this share all the very best in future bets and it's been a pleasure to chat with u all ??
I am a relatively recent shareholder & I am grateful for an excellent short term profit here .However I voted no as I suspect that a carve up has been done with the agreement of the main protagonists -Ceasars get the US ,Done gets as many bookies as he wants & any other UK/European parts ,senior management may we’ll be offered decent jobs or they aren’t bothered as their service contracts will be honoured .News from Flutter & GVC endorsed the perspective on the US being massive .Cant blame Ceasars for buying us cheaply & our best hope is that there won’t be enough support @272 & Ceasars will have to increase which,in my opinion ,is unlikey
Makes you sick eh?
They set a target of £4 then have to cut that based on a rubbish offer.
To be fair, I've not said it's a done deal; I've said I fear it'll go through.
What I was trying to explain before was that I disagreed with the logic postulated on this board by which some of the funds would vote, not necessarily the votes themselves.
We can all see the value here, and so can the FMs. (Remember David Cummings said he thought the price would go higher when it was 278)
However, voting against management isn't the norm (the default is with management) so we need active rather than passive folk on our side here and that's our big unknown.
Let's just hope enough of theym have a bit of passion on this one and drive a harder bargain.
It’s not the hold is the cut from 400 to the offer price! HSBC and others had a target of £4. I’ve already submitted my “NO” fo vote!
Has there still been no news from the big shareholders , any indication which way they see it ?
I think the reason for the 272 hold is due to the bid
HSBC CUTS WILLIAM HILL TO 'HOLD' ('BUY') - TARGET 272 (400) PENC
Just voted NO!!!!!! What ever happens next week, We will be OK
Iam praying this doesn’t go thro , who in there right mind would vote yes
Complete and utter insult, where do they come from?I So hope COmmomSense is wrong and it’s not a Done (excuse the Pun) deal.
Rubbing salt into the wound, have you seen the lse broker news
HSBC CUTS WILLIAM HILL TO 'HOLD' ('BUY') - TARGET 272 (400) PENCE
Jet7, totally agree with you. The takeover figure would be ok if it was only for the US business, looking at Draftkings figures! William Hill already has a very large part of the US market and what I’ve read over the last year or so, the US public likes what WH offers and that’s why Caesars wants it.
Thanks Morbox, that’s wound me up for the weekend, surely upon surely this deal cannot be given the green light!
