It looks similar impact to me, but as I posted before, WizzAir was the second biggest carier in Tel Aviv so no surprise they are hit harder by canceling so many flights.
Easy jet also posting a loss for the period and always has been since I start looking at their shares about 8 years ago
Here is a section from yesterdays EasyJet update
easyJet's seasonal winter loss for the first half of FY24 is also expected to improve year-on-year despite a direct impact1 of c.£40 million (and further indirect impacts) from the conflict in the Middle East.
I bet o'leary won't stand up with middle east losses in the report
LONDON, Jan 25 (Reuters) - Wizz Air reported a bigger third-quarter operating loss on Thursday, as the budget carrier grapples with the effects of engine inspections that have grounded parts of its fleet and the suspension of flights due to the Middle East conflict.
The airline, however, maintained its fiscal 2024 net income expectations after a positive start to its fourth quarter ending March.
European airlines have continued to report strong results on the back of unrelenting travel demand, but the outlook is murky due to geopolitical instability, rising jet fuel costs and economic uncertainty.
Wizz Air was also one of the main airlines hit by issues with RTX engines and had said it would face a capacity reduction as a result.
The 180 million euros ($196 million) operating loss in Wizz Air's third quarter, which ended on Dec. 31, was larger than last year's third quarter loss of 155 million euros, driven by the cancellations of flights.
"While financial performance in the last quarter was materially affected by the suspension and reallocation of Israel capacity, we maintain our expectations for F24 net income," Chief Executive Jozsef Varadi said in a statement.
PR speech, it will never be 350 million
£1.7billion in cash according to today's RNS, I don't think there will a capital raising any time soon.
A strong start to Q4 and maintaining full year guidance are two big plus points, but I fear this could slip at open.
No bad considering the Middle East & Eastern Europe conflict and the engine issues. The compensation will address the loss and the company has a healthy bank balance. No need to raise cash, lots to be positive about. No DaveKov the troll will rubbish the results and company, he’s been quiet the past 2 days when the SP has been going up, he’ll be falling over himself with words of wisdom today when/if the SP falls, idiot, reckons he’s invested, liar!!!
Financial performance: maintain F24 net income guidance range of £350-400 million, supported by positive trading, higher utilization of operational fleet, one-off benefits from OEM cost protection and credits from deferred sale and lease-back transactions materializing in the fourth quarter

I agree net profit appears to fall short of city consensus. Not a lot of posivity in there.
Be interesting to see city reaction, personally I can see a substantial fall but hope not. Ive been surprised before
No, the engine issue and Israel have always been there so no surprise here. Another opportunity to buy on weakness
Q3 NET "INCOME": -105M
GAME OVER!!!
CAPITAL RAISING IS COMING!
From March…..with Israeli fighter jet protection presumably.
These figures don’t look so clever to me.
It is just a day trading stock holding just gets punished
Ah!
Another opportunity to add more, I missed the drop to 1500, perhaps I will have another go !

Nothing new. We knew about it. And we knew that planes will be parked and engines removed for inspection than put back on the planes so they can return to fleet.
That is how it hapens. And its all paid for by the engine manufacturer and compensated for.
Just like when you buy a new car and there is a recal, you just need to turn up with your car and they will do the job. In more serious cases you get curtesy car for the incovenience.
So no news really.
Usually in case of wizz: sell the rumors, sell the news 😂😂😂
'Buy the Rumor, Sell the News' situation? ...
Nice to see the progress of planed work on the engines.
