So many retailers in the UK are rumoured to be takeover targets. I don't think it will be long before this hidden gem is on the receiving end of one.
A reassuring update in the current retail environment. I would have thought a few broker upgrades are in process on the back of this update. I personally think Naked should be trading at a much higher price.
It's good to see a director purchase even though a small one.
I can see this easily going over 200. I like the ethos of the company and the wines are very good. I order two or three cases from them a month and I can recommend them.
Talking of wine, Chapel Down are very good too. Their sparkling wines hit the spot and are certainly a great alternative to Champagne. The Kits Coty Chardonnay is decent too. Quite Burgundian in style and at around £30 a bottle is very reasonable.
I think there is a chance. This has been a nice trading share and I believe this will be a 180/200 type value if management execute.
I think this can deliver growth in profit…not so sure where it goes in terms of top line growth when it seems the cost to gain that is high.
That said, the holding rns the other day and ennismore drop might indicate something is rumoured in the financial markets.
What are the odds of Naked being taken over in the next 12 months. A market cap of below £80m with sales over £350m. This is just another case of hedge fund manipulation.
I like the principle behind the business and have been buying of late. This is way too oversold in my opinion.
Been looking at this one for a while and now bought a few and considering adding if it drops further. So it’s been spurned as ‘growth’ stock as it pulls the reigns in, right sizes and focuses on a back to profit style programme. So top level it looks like it overstretched and realised before collapse…shorters playing their havoc as you’d expect. Any red flags to be looked into?
Please advise when trading update rns
Bought 0.94 , still keep or sell ?
Please advise how much real value the naked wine?

Yep I'm short - well was, not a good day for me . I don't mind the share going up, it's already down 90% and if it can turn around and others make back losses that's fine by me. What I did like was the clarity and openness on the covenants - I appreciate when companies do that alongside forecasts
I’m confused. Was David Stead going and now he is staying? Isn’t there a song about that?? Should I stay or should I go! There is a MASSIVE climb ahead to decent profitability and shareholder value. I hope and trust we will all be rewarded handsomely for staying the course!
Yep, good SP movement on what is actually a mixed bag of an RNS. It seems a case of steadying the ship for 2023 after the growth plan hasn't produced the expected results. Liquidity looking safe for now as well.
Looking at the charts, this peaked around 890p in Apr 2021 and started a slow decline from Sept that year until now. I'll be watching this over the next few weeks to how it reacts compared with the macro situation and then perhaps dip a toe in. I do think the business will survive and ultimately do well.
Well that's very exciting up 30% :-) gla
A very positive sentiment on some very harsh results. At least the rcf is safe for now. If the business can survive and keep customers is now the key.
Bank holiday rns - Morgan Stanley continuing to reduce. Share price holding up quite well considering the size of their reductions
Why would we need that?
Are they planning something tgat needs our approval and brought him back for a couple months to negotiate!
Hopefully for a good reasons let see.
Another rns now - gromley to represent shareholders as an unpaid advisor at the current business planning sessions.
Angel funds aren't ringfenced protected client deposits under the t&cs??? Anyone confirmed this with naked? They say it only has a parent guarantee on their website ?
Could have just been a hickup in the system or too many people trying to contact them after yesterday's fall.
I just called them - straight through and a very helpful person. ???? So not in full panic mode.
Just my personal opinion. Not trying to scare anyone.
Wow that's crazy, I wonder if anyone else had that experience
As I said previously, I recently cancelled my subscription to Naked Wine after several years, but my wife is still a member. Today, she tried to purchase some wine but could not. She tried phoning them, but answer phone told her there was no one to take her call. She is now also cancellng her membership and withdrawing her money before they go under.
