You can buy my 5 million plus at 14p now Brighty!!!! ??
I bought in to Webis many years ago as a long term investment. I fully expect that a takeover will be over 20p a share when it happens. It's just a case of waiting for California to sort itself out and then there will be a stampede to buy our licence (s). Denham Eke, Webis Chairman, has been very upfront about this:
"As a result, it should come as no surprise that WatchandWager continues to be courted by large corporations, and indeed smaller operations with a view to software deals, strategic alliances, mergers or even outright acquisition opportunities".
That statement will do for me. i.e. It's a waiting game and then we are off to the races.....literally!
Good luck, Brighty
Impressive posting here this morning....
And Poppers and Simonthepieman are singing off the exact same hymn sheet as me.. An easy patient hold play for me this, for a big chunk of my bet here ( I do some range trading alongside for a portion on my bet here too).. Indeed far from selling, my thinking is more along the lines of why am I not adding more around these 2p levels, which feels a low s/p to me here..
Generally, on even a sniff of a takeover/merger noise this will hop to 5 p plus very quickly, I expect.. as it has before... and if coming main season business is as good like the boss is confident it will be this could justify a 4p price off the back of that alone
IMHO & DYOR
I agree totally, I have been in for slightly less than you and do trade a bit to lower my average price but am in for more than 10 times your holding at just less than 2p. Everything points to an eventual upside, if not the main shareholder may as well just fold the company. This could be at 4/5 p with very limited good news as we have all seen in the past. I am in until 14p not sure how I’ve arrived at this figure but will continue to trade little bits but I believe this share is retirement money!!!!
I think the MM got their fingers burnt this morning. They dropped the SP expecting a sell off and it's been 90% on the buy side. The MCAP is only 7 million. There is so much upside and they have 2.8 million in the bank. The MD was upbeat about the near future so what's not to like. I've been in this for 6 years now. I'm 500k at 2.4 and happy to hold. GLA.
Web rarely raises money from shareholders. The main owner is a billionaire and this is small change.
Yes the cash flow was also a slight concern but you could also argue they are managing the cash pile in a sensible manner so as not to have to go back to shareholders
Had to pay 1.89 for mine - picked up another £3250.
I agree about the good news and happy to hold for another 12 months - slightly concerning that they've only just realised B2C was the way to go - no s&%$ Sherlock.
Another concern was the halting of the marketing due to poor performance of other business streams which implies cash conservation - I know owners haave deep pockets but still an area of concern.
I have bought 2 lots today at 1.80 and 1.84 £2000 and £1500 or thereabouts. With regard the RNS, there was a slight negative to do with the weather and turnover and profit being a bit lower. However, there is an awful lot of good news in the content as well, especially when you look at mergers and acquisitions and the fact that small players will struggle and the big boys are getting bigger and that we are a medium player so surely we will get taken out at some point in the coming months.
It’s a case of being patient and what price do the board want to sell at? Keep the faith
This has been around for years, never made any net profits, probably never will. As we saw it’s leaky as fxxk as well with a nasty spread. Not a serious investment for investors, day traders play share
Been trying to buy on HL since 8am - cant get a quote
This share reslly has been a traders dream over the years and suspect some will have done well out of it. Reading the results probably one of the more down beat ones in recent years.
Disappointing results and shows weakness due to a bit of bad weather! Anyhow, trading from Dec - May makes up approx 85% of total turnover for the financial period so chance to turn that around. Probably a chance to top up under 2p again.
Yep your right, leaky ship!
Not big figures involved. Just low trading. This moves either way on small trades.
Doesn’t bode well.
Interims due and someone is selling
Back to normal volume then
Swill , I make you right , I’ve been in and out of this share a few times , got bored and sold at a loss . I bought back in today so let’s see again , surly if can’t keep bubbling along for years , we need some good solid news that will entice new investors! Hopefully this is coming very soon
A note of caution NicetoMichu although as always it's each to his own but several times I have panicked when this starts rising over 1-2 days thinking that this is finally 'it' (see 2018 and 2021 from Brighty's post below) and I don't want to miss out and then it slips down to 2p or below again and I regret my impulse buying. Sure I fully believe that those bought on the up will one day be worth a lot more than the 3p etc I paid but I just wish I'd waited and bought some on the down at 1.8p which is what I try and do now.
Come on Reece, positive vibes only please ??
Possible meant 1.6p
16p a 5 bagger from here ??
maybe the decimal place was omitted and 16.00 p was meant jcampbell :-)...
I'd happily take a buy out for 10p, in truth
This is defo waking up today though.. I bought a small amount earlier.. and am starting to feel compelled to buy some more soon..
The one Financial Times analyst offering a 12 month price target expects Webis Holding PLC share price to rise to 1,600p in the next year from the last price of 2.05p. This is potentially a 78,000% increase!! Stupid question, but is this at all possible????
