About forty Italian companies announced at the Promote 2022 fair in Yaoundé
(Business in Cameroon) - Promote 2022, the 8th edition of the International Business, SME and Partnership Fair, will see the participation of some forty companies from Italy, announced Filippo Scammacca Del Murgo , the country's ambassador to Cameroon. It was during a press conference organized on February 14, 2022 in Yaoundé, the capital of the country.
“? This participation is also an indication of Italy's interest in Cameroon. We did a not very big campaign, but we received the support of Italian companies ?"for this business meeting which opens on February 19, 2022 in the Cameroonian capital, indicated the Italian diplomat to Cameroon Tribune , the State-owned daily.
Initially scheduled for April 24 to May 2, 2021 at the Palais des Congrès in Yaoundé, this economic high mass was finally postponed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Launched in 2002, the Promote show, which often registers up to 1,000 exhibitors thus offering the opportunity to forge business partnerships, very quickly became the largest economic gathering in Central Africa, according to its promoters.

Zzz zzz??
Will we get some Friday News?
Yeah. Have you noticed how he always finishes his podcast with a footie story to help him appear all matey?
Excellent news that Malcy is getting the cold shoulder from the BOD. Another sign the company is on the road to credibility.
Still waiting for news on that list!
On the pay role??
In all the years I have read his sycophantic vog garbage I don't recall him ever having anything negative to say about vog. He just used to spew out Foo's messages.
I find Macy's comment an insult to us LTHs
As I am being here for over a decade and only when get high double figure will feel any less pain .
But don't ever expect it to happen and resigned to taking Lrg losses at some point.
The SP needs to hit £1.00 before we get back to the consolidation price ! Cant remember exactly but they were something like , 2.5p when we got 1 for 40 and lets not forget (as if we would) that they have been down around 2.5p on occasions -since - consolidation. The "Johnny Come Lately's" will be delighted at the current progress but for us LTH's to sell at todays price wouldn't bag us a "tripe supper" - so the enthusiasm of Malcy does seem to wear a bit thin
Malcy was Foo's puppet. Roy doesn't need him
I think it's refreshing that Malcy keeps saying that he's looking forward to speaking to the management team but still hasn't managed it, the new management are obviously not needing malcy to prove or approve their success!
“those patient shareholders who have been in for the long haul are slowly getting something back”
Please tell me he’s having a laugh.
I’m looking forward to chatting to the enigmatic management team at some stage as the new VOG story is gaining strength with every trading update. It is almost too long a story but those patient shareholders who have been in for the long haul are slowly getting something back and without tempting fate I think that the market has scope for GDC to deliver substantially more sales and as for Matanda the sky is the limit…
Victoria Oil & Gas
Victoria Oil & Gas Plc, whose wholly owned subsidiary, Gaz du Cameroun S.A. is the onshore gas producer and distributor with operations located in the port city of Douala, Cameroon, is pleased to provide shareholders with a brief operations update for the fourth quarter of 2021.
SUMMARY
· Sales: Average daily gross gas sales rate for the quarter of 5.3 MMscf/d (up 6.0% on Q3 21: 5.0 MMscf/d) of natural gas, plus gross 5,584 bbls (Q3 21: 3,800 bbls) condensate was shipped to customers.
· Logbaba Performance: The field has been meeting the demand using two of the three wells at any one time, with Well La-108 alternating with Well La-107.
· Matanda: Following the selection of a suitable wellsite to drill a vertical well into the Marula prospect on Government-owned, late-life plantation lands, stakeholder engagement continued, and the preparation of site access roads commenced.
· Litigation: Certain of the non-monetary claims in the ICC arbitration with RSM Production Corporation (“RSM”) have been settled consistent with the UNCITRAL arbitration settlement agreement, previously announced on 29 September 2021. The settled non-monetary claims resolve several prospective accounting issues.
Roy Kelly, Chief Executive of Victoria Oil & Gas, commented:
“We are very pleased with the robust quarter that GDC achieved, despite a greater than expected number of maintenance shutdowns for its customers. Following the end of the quarter, 2022 has started very well with strong demand shown in the market.
“I am pleased we could settle those non-monetary claims with a prospective impact in the ICC arbitration, and I am again grateful to RSM for their continued and constructive engagement on this.”

Friday, 07 January 2022
(Business in Cameroon) - Minister of Water and Energy Gaston Eloundou Essomba recently issued a call for expression of interest for the recruitment of a consultant who will carry out preliminary and detailed project studies and help plan tender calls for the construction of a 225/5 kV electrical substation in Bassa industrial zone, Douala. The planned electrical substation is aimed at anticipating future energy needs in the said zone.
According to the call for expression of interests, by 2023, the zone will need an additional 40 MW of energy due to the operations of firms like Prométal, Les Acieries, Métafrique among others. “The state has preemptively met the demand since the energy-generating capacity of the South Interconnected Grid will be boosted with the final commissioning of the Memve’ele hydroelectric plant (211 MW) in March 2022 and the Nachtigal hydroelectric plant (420 MW) in July 2024,” we learn.
According to the Ministry of Water and Energy, the growth in energy demand in the Bassa industrial zone will be an opportunity to boost financial equilibrium in the energy sector by 2024. Indeed, 25% of the industrial production in Douala comes from the zone where 89 industrial units are currently active in sectors like metal processing, woodworking, painting, printing, water, and energy, etc

Victoria Oil & Gas shares up on Cameroon subsidiary sales boost
Wed, 2nd Feb 2022 11:37
(Alliance News) - Victoria Oil & Gas PLC shares were lifted on Wednesday after it reported its wholly-owned subsidiary Gaz du Camerou SA's fourth-quarter sales were up 6% over the last quarter.
The London-based oil and gas company said GDC's average daily gross gas sales rate for the fourth quarter was 5.3 million standard cubic feet per day. This was up 6% from 5.0 million standard cubic feet per day in the previous quarter in 2021. Condensate sales were also up 47% to 5,584 barrels, from 3,800 barrels in the third quarter.
Victoria's share price was up 7.0% to 4.44 pence each in London on Wednesday morning.
"We are very pleased with the robust quarter that GDC achieved, despite a greater than expected number of maintenance shutdowns for its customers. Following the end of the quarter, 2022 has started very well with strong demand shown in the market," said Chief Executive Roy Kelly.
GCD's Logbaba field had been meeting demand using two of its three wells at any one time. It has started to prepare site access roads for its Marula prospect at Matanda.
The company also said it had resolved non-monetary in the International Chamber of Commerce arbitration with RSM Production Corp, in line with the previously announced Uncitral arbitration settlement agreement.
"I am pleased we could settle those non-monetary claims with a prospective impact in the ICC arbitration, and I am again grateful to RSM for their continued and constructive engagement on this," Kelly added.
Looking ahead to 2022, GDC predicts growth in demand of 10% to 20% over the previous year. January and February sales are likely to increase as Cameroon hosts a major sporting event.
Demand in January was high, with a mid-week peak gas sales of 6.8 million standard cubic feet per day, which was a three-year record.

LITIGATION UPDATE
ICC Case NO. 23991/MK
Whilst the ICC has yet to make its award, the parties have now settled the prospective non-monetary elements of the arbitration and discussions with RSM continue to resolve the monetary claims and remaining retrospective non-monetary claim.

This was what stands out for me. It looks like the 'award' has been shelved whilst the two parties make an amicable settlement between themselves. Perhaps a final compensatory amount will be awarded at the end of the day, perhaps it won't, but now looking less likely that this issue will bankrupt VOG. Getting back any of our large outlay on legal expenses also seems unlikely. Let's hope some certainty can be reached this quarter - it has dragged on far too long.
Yes good steady moving forward.
Should take back to 5s on this one.
Yes, steady as she goes.
All fine and dandy considering. Steady Roy doing his thing
