Typical rubbish by Dan - not once have I said I know it all - show me a post where I have said that , but its ok Dan - we know you have a few problems so you carry on believing . If it gets down to a pound again you will still be saying everybody is posting stupid comments .
Cheapshareboy. Cheers mate. Crap day on Tuesday obviously,so I just wish some on here would not just come out with the usual blindingly obvious ,benefit of hindsight, moaning comments. The vast majority of vod share holders want Nick Read to stay. Vod's problems are very complex, far to complex for Mikey to understand. But he thinks he knows it all. & before he comes out with his usual daft reply, I don't know either, but I don't pretend to. As you say, keep an open mind. Good luck.
Hi thank you everyone I do listen, a little
Yes my targets been up and down but I am no amusement park. I just try make a little profit here and there, for my sipp pension account and two shares isas. Like I said I like the dividend here but like mole says - it’s not guaranteed if growth stops.
I’m not recommending a sell, it’s more like a hold.
I was just little surprised on the lower growth here thus my comments and sale yesterday. I still have shares but my holdings are always under review.
All the best to everyone with trading or holding or buying or selling. Shares are a serious business not a joke or an amusement park. Therefore it’s always good to keep an open mind.
Mole, we see you as a challenge, the challenge is to try and prove you wrong, but you seem to be winning at the moment, but we have not given up, well not completely :-)
Guys it ain’t rocket science. VOD has a very important market in Germany, it earns a massive amount there & Germany is heading for a recession. The markets don’t like recessions so the SP is going down, it will go down further when GB enters recession also. Please if anyone is thinking of buying more VOD shares DON’T.
This is a dividend paying share only but if profits fall too much the divi will be in doubt & off we go again. Sorry to be a doom monger but I see trouble ahead this winter & beyond which is why I have sold here.
I am chuffed I have such notariety
I merely drone on to attempt to make investors look a little deeper than the supposed safe dividend return, and decide if the stock is for them long term.
Hope is not part of fundamental analysis. A mole-man say so.
It does all seem a bit extreme Dan, as we can't tell what's around the corner, i did put that really badly to cheapshares, but i really was just pulling his leg, and i can see how it could have been taken the wrong way, so sorry for that cheap, i think a lot of people have been influenced by other posters at some time or other though, especially if your new to investing, including myself, that's why i like to listen to everyone's views rampers and the derampers, but ultimately you always have to make your own decisions
will be interesting to see which way this will go in the next few days
Three target price downgrades - share price biggest faller at over 5 % and still you say you couldnt
Make some of these posts up - i think you must have been a blinkered horse in a previous life
Come on robleo. Stop making decisions on mole-mans say so. Shame on you, show some courage?! You couldn't make some of the posts up today. It is like listening to people who have come straight out of the amusement arcade from a one armed bandit! Come on rob, you know you are above all this crap, so don't fall for it.
Cheapshareboy. A bit of advice, Try listening, You don't have to agree, but if you listen you may end up wiser. Give it a try? No point coming on here unless you want to listen to others, otherwise what is the point? £1.75 down to £1. A bit extreme I think? But I am listening.
cheapshares, i always make my own decisions, i was just pulling your leg mate, don't take it serious
robleo - also why do you listen to anyone?
it is your decision to invest or not.
You should buy on your own research and/or decision not on mole-mans say so.
That is ridiculous place to be.
I come here to chat - not to "listen" to anyone - i.e. it's good to get views but the decision is mine and mine alone.
SO what about 1.75?
Of course, I have the right to adjust my view on results.
That is why I READ THE RNS. So I invest (or trade) based on results. Is that not resonable?
I still think vod is a good divi stock - however, I was disappointed at the results so a path to 1.75 is not imminent anymore. This is - obviously - a results game.
Dan, I think you know i do have a plan B for this share, but was hoping i wouldn't have to pull it out of the bag, but right now, is it acceptable then, to say sack nick and the board of directors, only joking mate, it may be true though ?
Mulder. If a bid was imminent, why has the share price collapsed? Sorry mate, but you make no sense.
The only person on here that I trust is robleo. Calm & collected. Mine is a large san Miguel please!! Don't they talk a load of, benefit of hindsight rubbish? Gypsy Rose lea stuff. At least mole- man is consistent. Ok, so he may be a bit of a miserable git, but, he is O.K in my book. As for C.S.D.I. Well still waiting for his comments? Perhaps I am a bit of a C.S.D.I. I cant remember what it means, but something like being crap at picking winning shares?
cheapshares, what about this 1.75 you have been talking about then, i was thinking of putting more money in here on your recommendation ? it's a good job i listened to reliable Moleman and Mikey ?, well done for selling on time though
Cheapshareboy. " Vodafone heading for £1" Which one are you today then? Jekyll or Hyde? Make your mind up?
"Large shareholders have had enough" From the A.G.M. 99.72 of shareholders vote to re instate Nick Read. It is only the small shareholders who want him out. Please stop this social media fake news. We are all cheesed off with the sp fall today, but talking bull **** is not going to help.
Cheapsharesboy. You traitor, But well done on your sale, I wish I had. I think you secretly have been listening to Mikey?? I thought you were very bullish about vod?
Vodafone heading to a £1.00
Terrible market reaction to the AGM, and disaster of a day for my portfolio, on a day when the FTSE finished marginally up.
VOD wasn’t even my worst performer, that dubious honour went to MKS. Consumers are getting battered from all sides at the moment. GLA.
Read has ran out of time.
A bid must also be imminent IMO.
Large shareholders have had enough.
My issue on yesterday report was not Germany but low percentage growth. I think it was too low condiering inflation and general growth assumptions
Not looking good
I sold two thirds yesterday at 129p plus got the dividend so I am in profit
However I am perplexed as to what to do with remaining third. I might just hold. I will think overnight and make decisions. Divi is likely to hold so market is looking like panic selling. But I think one can forget about capital gains now
