merger news....just out
Breaking news on Sky , vodafone and three uk have accelerated talks to combine Uk operations
I thought there was an excessive debt issue with VOD, debt is certainly keeping the SP down here. So I was surprised to read Mr Read is splashing out another 150 million in Portugal. I’m glad he isn’t in charge of our family finances.
Put me down for 101.5

103.69 for me please. Many thanks
Dan, it's not what i think the sp will be next Friday that matters, it's what i think it will be in Six months, and whether it would be a good investments to top up around this price
What are your thoughts mate
Gary, maybe more chance of vod rising in the next six months than the house builders perhaps ?
Right now, i wouldn't like to predict what will happen next week let alone next year, just too much stuff going on
A brave call, not because VOD can’t achieve that level in the right market but because there is a terrible feel in the air that the macro is going to drag on, with more stress to come and time needed to sort it.
The FED have called an emergency meeting for Monday. It goes on.
Looks like a lot of you are going sub £1. Perhaps to prevent this happening vod should do a pound shop, & make the shares smaller, so they can still sell them at a pound? Never thought I would see rob go for under a £. I am getting that Monday morning feeling already, even though I am retired!
Hi all, lots of chat this morning in the Sunday press about UK companies being ripe for takeover due to Lizzy's mess & the pound plummeting, VOD mentioned as a top takeover target.
For this reason & also my upbeat mood (the sun is shining up here in Quantock country today & some deer are in the fields at the back having come down to get away from the cold nights) I am happy to go on record & say that there will be a 40% uplift in this SP in the next 12 months i.e. £1 to £1.40.
You heard it here first & now I just need the confidence to buy back in.
I go for 99.9p
CSDI, just don't go getting impatient and selling at a loss, I've still got a small amount left in psn, but holding back before putting anymore in there, expecting most shares will be taking further drops this winter, when the energy costs add to the already high inflation and interest rates, we will just have to wait it out for a while, they will come good eventually
good luck mate, we all need it
Will do Robleo....write another list Sun / Mon, quite a few more probably
.97 for me please roofer

CSDI - I too have PSN but I only brought in recently & see absolutely no reason to sell. House builders for me are keepers & they will come right but it may take a couple of years, meanwhile the dividends are great even if PSN do cut which is a distinct possibility. They are at 19% now so a 50% cut wouldn't be a disaster.
The poster 'Strictlybricks' on LSE is the absolute oracle on house builders, he is well worth a read for the uninitiated.
Apologies one & all that this isn't a VOD post, put on for the info of CSDI & others.
Hi Danh
what a mess I've made with PSN - getting hammered worse than VOD.
I cannot see the point in crystallising a big loss on PSN to move elsewhere.
My hands are tied for now with no spare funds to invest.
for all the doom and gloom around, VOD has outperformed many (that is dropped less !!) of the FTSE100 shares this year.
So will have to stay on the sidelines for now, and continue to live up to my moniker of C S D I =
Crap Share Dealing Ideas.
Take care & GLA - C
