No I know that, but getting wind of interested organisations who may be sniffing around may be a possibility
Most likely, an upgrade to 2024/25 and plan to sell off another business to clear the debt
Any other thoughts everyone on why these two directors have bet their houses on the share price going up?
This is an awful lot of money for directors of a PLC
Thanks, sorty wasn’t being lazy, manic day yesterday.
So maybe the results are going to be ahead of expectations. Full year 2024/25 clearly going to be an upgrade.
Xxxacc. What is absolute rubbish?? Of course they can invest on what they know about there business, but not on insider info.
Thank you Builder. I'm too overwhelmed to say anything at the moment. Suffice to say 'If you're thinking of selling....don't'. If I may, I'll give a fuller speech at the awards ceremony, whenever and wherever it is!
Xxx, Next event as far as i know is Final results 14 May 2024
Agreed
But if it’s simply people sniffing around but haven’t yet signed up to enter data room, no problem
Does anyone know when the next trading update is?
Depends, if they are in due diligence in any deals their likely be asked to sign a form stopping them from trading. I work in finance and we were buying a competitor and I had to sign a form which forbid me from trading on the stock on either business, but that was a US listed company so might just be SEC thing? But yes if they have build a forecast and that's telling them things are rosey and it's not during the closed window then they can buy or sell to their hearts content.
And if businesses are sniffing around, again get in there
Absolute rubbish
Of course they can invest based on what they know about their business, they cannot trade in closed periods but that it
So if their business is forecasting a big profit from April after price rises, get in there
I think a positive trading update for FY24 coming
Accolade this week goes to and new to the podium "Hopeso " well done
Vod closing Sp 28th March 70.46p
Speech Speech Hopeso
Enjoy your Bank Holiday
Full list will follow..atb
Dan, A long term hold is a short term hold gone wrong, we are only young once mate, of course we all want it to go up as quickly as possible so we can be rewarded, let's all be honest here, but i get LTIs point about them buying back at a lower price
Anyway not a bad finish to the day, let's hope it can move on towards the 80s
Have a good Bank holiday all
Sorry, 7 rises is a bit over the top. But it is looking up?
Directors are not allowed to deal based on inside information not available to the general shareholders, but they can deal based on there interpratation of general rumours/info useing there expert knowledge of the business. These buys could be possitive, but they are not that big, so better than nothing I reckon. Nice to get back into the 70's
I intend to hold vod long term, but there is no way I don't want the sp to rise to £1 before the buy backs. Of course I want it to rise. There have many buy backs in the past, but they have not caused the sp to rise, so they may not this time, so it would be crazy not to welcome a rise to £1. Of course it would be nice if the sp fell to 10p, if it was guaranteed it would rise to £1 after the buybacks, but any rise is a good rise.
Why would directors invest this kind of cash
Altough I has got a verey faste bycicle pumpe
Takeover in the pipeline or trading update gonna smash it
These guys are betting the house on VOD
Two massive director buys in a few weeks. Looks like the results are going to be good but another business sale to clear debt on the cards.
Does anyone know when special div being paid or all buy backs?
I last bought at 64p on 7th February - I would have bought more at 62p, but didn't get there. I am in no hurry to offload any Vodafone shares.
LTI, that's something we should all keep in mind, I last doubled my shares here @ 86p i would like to see this rise a bit above that so i can sell them off at a bit of a profit( hopefully), as for the remaining half i will decide on that at the time
But as you say for anyone wishing to hold this long time they would benefit from the share price staying down
It doesn't matter - 70 is a number just like any other, but it is in the best interest for long term shareholders for the share price to remain subdued for the forthcoming buybacks. Of course those wishing to no longer be invested would prefer £1 + per share next week.
Someone, or something (a BOT), is really trying hard to stop this breaking above 70p. What's the rationale? Not much difference between 69.9 and 70 surely! Why would it matter?
Never
Whenever is a director buying that amount of shares in his own company bad news?
