I use IG for spreads. Sometimes the spread can be prohibitively high, especially when factoring in the margin for guaranteed stops. But they have saved me a couple of times from 5-figure liabilities, so i'm happy to have them to be quite honest. I tend to "trade" using spreads, and hold shares physically on a longer term view as I can purchase and forget all about them. More on-topic, i see that there have been some more late reported buy trades - about £1.5m worth from 1st Feb. This is what i love about this share - someone has a view to purchasing a stake here, and since its not exactly a highly traded stock it can run, and run, and run, and run... Look at the two year graph - basically the whole of 2009 it just went one way! Loving that!
Burn is the best way to learn lessons in the stock market IMHO :) Who do you use for your spreadbetting ? I used Spreadex and the spread and NTR they put on made a lot of shares off limits for spreadbetting. I was tempted to have a small spreadbet but i bought a small amount of shares instead. If they shoot up more tomorrow I will sell them before I have to pay for them for a good 2 day profit :) Mind you IF it rises well tomorrow then a further rise on Monday is almost guarenteed IMHO
B b b b b b b ooom t t t t ime, sorry out watching the kings speech today and missed my chance, awesome movie! Anyway nice to see a good rise and volume today, VGAS "starting" to get a little more well deserved attention and a SP to match its potential. Long way to go and will be adding first thing for sure. God speed!
1,200,000 buy at around 1530, thats over 1% of the company.... good sign.
Looks like we don't need that luck after all! Go VGAS, go!!
Ah, sorry to hear about the burn - never good. In my early days of the leveraged positions I too felt the pain... but after a while realised that I could "safely" leverage about 4x or 5x without too much lost sleep. I also have a pre-funded account so no bother with the NTR's - I just have to fund a relatively large amount and pay about 0.3pt for a guaranteed stop. Some shares I can't deal with because of that, but those are generally oilies looking for their next strike, and quite frankly those are just a gamble anyway! Happy here for a while - i'm on a June contract but might look to roll it should this still be looking like a good option, at these levels i'm still very bullish on this share, but always good to review, and re-review every now and then! Good luck to you, and here's hoping for a nice fat rise here!!
Fair enough ... I only deal in physical shares after being burned by spreadbetting and the NTR's they throw on some shares. I feel it will only rise from here so I was tempted to SB but I am sticking to the traditional way :)
Gone leveraged on this one - got in sub-80p so now showing a nice little increase. Helps preserve a bit of capital for me, and the value of this share in the cash reserves, producing asset etc meant for me personally speaking it was a bit pointless in buying physical shares in this instance as I didn't see it going much lower...
+190% ???
Yep, up up and away! Currently +190% and counting...! Good luck to you!
Go VGAS! thought we would see a few more faces on the board by now seeing its nearly chocks away. Strange when its an oily, producing 1500bopd, $25m cash, no debt, good BOD, spud soon, very possible positive outcome to legal case which should see $25m or GPU, long awaited production from VM field and a very primed looking chart. Perhaps I have it wrong or we need a licence dispute, placing, ridiculous MCAP or no production before we get some interest LOL. God Speed.
No worries just if you get the chance, liked your views here and would be interested what you think. May or may not be your cup of tea, if it is then great! I'm very well thanks and agree were ticking along nicely, looks like good support for a good recovery IMO. Good luck and a good weekend to you.
Thanks for that - I'm still to look at the other share you mentioned... will try and have a look on Sunday Hope you're well, this one should keep on trotting along for us! Have a good weekend
Nice chart and comments on ADVFN which is worth a look. I'm no chart fan but reassuring when its looking positive, 106p is the magic number apparently..... Good volume recently, especially on the 25th by the looks of those late reports. Looking forward to news soon to give us another push to the next level. 500k trade from Friday? Bid was around 91 then so if an actual trade then its a buy and some one is hungry. A few shares being bought/ changing hands recently, lets hope it boades well for the VGAS. GLA xxx
Lost momentum but a good chance to top up again for me. Has paid off so far and like PPVN said before, if it rises then it just confirms your original investment was a wise one. I have a feeling were going to see some more big buys soon too.....
10% a day would be wunderbar and cant see why not. Agree the seller is long gone, the trades equal the holding nicely and I'm not worried why the sell either. Should be hot stock now and few will be willing to part so easily IMO. I will not be parting with mine for less then 200p, usually I would not set myself such a high target but really think its a possibility, multibagger as they say hahaha. The chart is looking healthy so can see people getting on for the breakout ride too which should push it up a bit more/quicker. If you do get a chance then do check out AEY, I'm pretty excited about its prospects and don't think it will be a waste of your time. GL
And what a nice morning it is too! Some good trades going through - been a good few £m worth purchased by someone over the past couple of weeks. And with those late reported sells, i'm thinking that seller must have disposed of their holding by now since they only had under a million to go. Hopefully the brakes are now off - I didn't have a chance to look at AEY over the weekend, but i'll try and have a look when i get some time free. GL today, and roll on the rise. I remember this one likes to do 10% per day for weeks on end - lets hope its one of those runs...
Moving on up! I will be happy with this target! http://markets.investorschronicle.co.uk/companies/forecastsAndRecommendations.asp?s=uk:VGAS
Willy excited! Nice rise to the share price too and if they were in fact buys then someone also see's the value here and we could be on for a nice week. Good luck and good weekend all xxxx
BUYS!!! Managed to buy a few more myself but cant in great volume or at all! Am liking it:)
http://volgagas.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=27&Itemid=58 Nice pictures of the operations. Check out the VM testing pics too, have not seen a flare like that since the 60's :) GLA
None taken feller, I'm just winging it so appreciate more comments on the VGAS :) If your shooting for another 1000% gain lol then have a peek at Antrim Energy AEY, don't want to be a dirty ramper and go off topic but that board needs some input and your wise and true words would be very welcome. MCAP - $95m, Cash $25, no debt, producing 1800boepd in Argentina. The future is in the north sea though, they have a JV with Premier and Valiant on two proved fields. SP has been hampered as they could not go it alone but last year these boys got on board. Causeway field with Valiant could see first oil by end of year and we should know more about Premier and Fyne area some time soon. Also had a recent RNS about another JV in Tanzania. Like VGAS not many shares in free float and with so much news expected we should see some nice movement. The chart is also suggesting a nice move too. GLA
Hey Stelwanos, sorry for the tardy response! I'm afraid to say VML is not a stock that is currently on my watchlist; I'm quite set in my ways as to the stocks that I trade as I quite like to know a bit about a company before I jump in - my random trades never seem to go too well for some reason! I've got a couple more that I'm looking to invest in; but not waiting for a couple of bits to fall into place before I take the plunge. I like to do a bit of research before buying (sounds like you do too). Hence I only have a basket of stocks really that I look at and try to time my trades on what I deem to be fair / unfair value. I like to expect about 100% returns too. However, on this one I'm actually leveraged so I'm shooting for an 1000% gain... Lol that's the theory anyway. Seem to be bucking the trend on this one today. Steady and consistent gains will do me nicely, thank you very much!! GL if you buy, keep us posted with your decisions. Always good to see a new face on this board, no offence Flirker!! You were already here!!
DId you buy? Good day today, would already be in a nice bit of profit :) Big sell at end of play so that should be capital just about out, looks like they were wanting around 90p and someone snapped them up, hmmmm wonder who? Onwards and upwards from here I hope. GLA
