Sorry for your personal loss Ohmni… hope yr doing ok
Thanks for your reply, I am just a private investor as are you, just my opinion of course as for flipping burgers that is my warped sense of humour, good luck to you and all deep in Investors
Lmao, really Postman24? Wow. Guess I misjudged you. Here I was thinking you were a decent everyday investor like me. Have I harped on and on about things which I didn't like or kept myself to myself largely re VELA? DIdn't even brag about the fact I sold into the last major rise cos A. Bad tase and B, only 330 quid profit, more than a weeks wages for me cos ya know, I flip burgers for a living on a zero hour contract :)
I even pulled Jimmy up on SAR bb where he revealed his true self. You can check the chat history now LSE sorted that out so prove me wrong my dude. He was harping on about his millions of shares he shifted and what a dog SAR is while VELA had the magic bullet (read pill). I told him good and proper what I smelly chep end he was being and now you? Like this! (Inserts stars meme about how you were meant to destroy the dark side.)
Jungian Sychronicisty is a wonderful yet bizarre thing given my 2 positions in VELA and SAR as well as my personal loss (ie not money) along lines of cytokine storm regulation going unchecked in the only woman I ever loved hence me knowing about such things. Cos I went looking and also Hopingforbags is quite helpful.
All the best postman but you just landed in the same camp as Jimmy. Someone that only cares about money. To me at least anyway.
Now just to be salient it is simply bad form for any BOD to have the nasty suprise of shareholder misgivings around comms let alone overall company outlook. To me it shows they don't have the time of day to check and that would be fine with reasonable comms but that's the thing. We have not had reasonable comms imo and I'd wager many agree with me.
Keep flipping burgers
What a wonderful piece of dictat " adviser to Brent to & fro " cheery passage on a dull down day on Market
Ohmni - I think that is one of the most worrying things, how can it possibly come as a shock. I can imagine the meeting with the 'advisers':
Brent: ''i was nearly voted off the board at the recent AGM!''
Adviser: ''Ok, let me have a look at the last year and see if i can pinpoint anything. Brent, i see the SP was 0.14p on the day of the results of that SGS trial you were telling me about''
Brent: ''Yes, the SP was looking good as the results were positive''
Adviser: ''i see the SP have crashed since that day''
Brent: ''Yeah, that's probably because SGS sold the shares we gave them in the company as part of the deal''
Adviser:''Ah, but the results were positive though, so as you said commercialisation of the drug must be happening so VELA must be in for a windfall''
Brent: ''Yeah about that, we actually don't know what's happening with commercialisation and SGS have sold their shares without having the results peer reviewed''
Adviser: ' Brent, do you think that could be one of the reasons? But I assume you have kept the shareholders up to date and expressed your concern at the current SP and tried to allay their concerns''
Brent: ''FFS what more do these PIs want out of me''
It is amazing how many votes were not cast. Sadly I was one of them that did not use my 6m votes.
Happy consolidation did not pass (all personal experiance along those lines bad shortly thereafter the fact), unhappy at least one of the BOD did not go. Happy to hear some noise about more shareholder engagement, remains to be seen how that goes. Worse part about that is it seems to have come to a shock to them. Maybe read social BBs once in a while.
GLA.
Don't worry Big Dave, apparently Vela are taking Sgs to court and there's resignations due anytime according to the resident conspirisist. Bit like how the Moon landing and the Holocaust were also fake!.
Probably!
Looks like Jimmy's vote may have saved Brent.
Easy to come up with 10 or more reasons why votes went as they did.
Perhaps we should bombard them with emails regarding our anger towards their bad performance and lack of communication!
scraping not scarping
Yes it's an interesting result. More shareholder engagement would of course be very welcome indeed, I don't think that anyone here disagrees with that. I'm ok with the consolidation not passing, I do get that it makes the share a more attractive proposition for institutions and larger shareholders, however I do think that the market can be rather irrational and that consolidation would give the SP more scope to drop (I know that it shouldn't make a difference) whereas right now we are scarping along what must be the bottom, or near as dammit.
''Notwithstanding that only c.12% of the Company's issued share capital was voted, the Board has noted the proportion of those that were voted against certain resolutions. The Board will therefore be consulting with its advisers on how it might engage more effectively with its shareholders and will also be engaging with shareholders in order to understand the reasons behind the voting results.''
Would like to hear what their 'advisers' will tell them!
Agree I was hoping on consolidation
No more share issue (without some delivery) is appropriate , don't get the vote against consolidating, it seemed popular on here at least
agree was hoping for consolidation. Least Brent and Emma know there is a lot of discontent with Shareholder about their performance
The consolidation was perhaps the one thing it would have been good to pass IMHO
Be interested if anyone attended the meeting for feedback. Gla.
Consolidation not approved! But Brent got in by the end of his tail!!
