I've been reading through the recent posts and would agree this is a nice board without the manipulators.
As for our CEO I'm inclined to the have faith in her and let her manage the company rather than spend too much time answering questions.
I reinvestedi n Val because it seemed to have morphed into a properly run company and I'm happy to let this run.
We have a lovely BB here but see thanks to Wilber on the other one we now have lost Rapid ??
I think where we are is the entry point. Next +£1.
Good thinking M ;)
Perhaps we could have a black friday sale @ 16p - that would help my APS no end. I'd just spend the same and buy a larger stake. I'm in for the longer haul but just need to adjust my averages... :)
Mark Kemode makes me chuckle. I do find him thought provoking though. I totally disagree with his interpretation of the end of the 1978 Superman film. I was quite impressed how he could completely miss the ponit :)
I think Jenny's ponit about TA is the right attitude, it is more reliable when traditional market forces apply and "market manipulation" and the unexpected are not so significant factors. I use TA as a way to manage risk more than anything. The purpose however is in the name, Trading Analysis, i.e. it's a tool for trading rather than investing. There is nothing wrong with being a trader, we are all here to make money after all, but the invester is not looking for a quick buck, they are looking to reap rewards from holding shares over the long term as the company grows and releases the potential the invester spotted. I freely admit I fall into the trader camp as far as Val goes, but my more recent purchases are long term holdings.
Strong TA works, I would say even more so with the volatile stocks, the more emotion there is in the SP the cleaner the trend lines imo! New to the group, but recently invested a long position. It looks range bound(approx 23-29) until early November so not sure we will see much excitement technically speaking. Crazy the SP used to be in the 000s!! Would be happy to reach those levels again!
There's always one isn't there.
I would add my name to the list of those endorsing Iceman's posts - and Grace's - and Baxter's - and Rhubarb's.
- but on the TA front - to be frank, I'm inclined towards the notion that it's a more apposite tool when applied to more 'established' stocks on the main market.
When a stock is as volatile as VAL - driven by FOMO, 'Saint-Rampez-esque' delusional sentiment', herd instinct, and trial results, then 'Gut- feeling' is as good a guide - if not better, than TA - that's just my questionable opinion - and if TA works for you, happy days all-round.
I woke early, fancied a cup of tea - watched Mark Kermode's 'film-review' (God, he fancies himself don't he?), and as I type, the crepuscular glow of a new day, is evident through the trees at the top of the garden. Have a great weekend all - and make the most of the extra hour.

Totally agree with your sentiments LBob.
I love the fact that there are some really well-informed people and big investors who are prepared to give us their unique insights and re-assurance. This will come good in my opinion, it just requires a bit of patience and faith in Suzy. GLA
Well its been up a bit down a bit this week (hope you like that technical analysis ) . But at least we finished blue today.
I like the new quieter board, I'm sure with lots of ramping we could get the SP up but it wouldnt hold and I hate rampers. Much nicer to have the SP rise on proper news not hype of news to come with a mass of speculation thrown in.
Only the good folks left in here now and we have a good company with a great ceo and good prospects for mid and long term.
Have a good weekend folks.
