OB - that made me laugh. I need to be a millionaire first to drink whiskey 7 days a week. First, because I have expensive taste, and second because I can do any work if I spent my evening drinking :) But boy would I like to spent my evenings drinking whiskey by the open fire.... Maybe Val can help me get closer to my target retirement pot? Although, I have not reached 40 yet so not really ready to retire
Whisky is also mentioned as a 7 day a week drink, as is “very” dry white wine :))
Sprockett has a cool ring to it and will always remind you of when and why you named him!
I see Oldblady and Grace are having another Gin discussion... Can't contribute to that, I am a whisky man!
Gin is allowed 7 nights a week, it says so in the bible....
Stick to gold sovereigns and Britannia’s they are CGT exempt
So are silver Britannia’s
:)
Really should have researched this more... ok, basically he has a krugerrand and six half ounce coins (No idea what exactly they are yet until picked up). He said he would do three sets of the two halves for the £1660 price per set, as well as the krugerrand for the same price. I thought they all came under the general term sovereigns, but clearly they don’t lol! Still learning (clearly haha), so from a quick google search, the krugerrand is subject to CGT?
And it’s been a crazy week so far, so Thursday is the start of the weekend, so gin is allowed, yeah?! ;)
Grace
Are you on the gin ? Lol
Sovereigns are well sub £400, I think you mean gold Britannia’s at £1660 ?
As for getting your own way, life is about compromise ;)
Be very lucky :)))
I like Bert. It made the shortlist. Doesn’t feel like an RNS kinda day to me tomorrow, so good luck ;) Your knowledge is superior to mine though, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you escaped this haha!
OB, about the same price as bullion by post at the mo, so £1660 ish. There’s a krugerrand and a few half ounces there, amongst a few others. So not bad. Silver next after storage sorted :)
Ours is the size and looks like Scooby Do and called Bert dog names worse than naming your children.
Fresh underwear at the ready just in case the one trade was Brace having some fun.
Grace
Don’t forget the silver Britannia’s...
To be fair if he’s been bitten by a “bob“ then I get that....
Did you get the sovereigns at a good price?
My star sign is Leo, my sons name is jack, I’m a carpenter and love Stanley tools
Bob is a cracking name! It’s comical.... sprocket is pretty good though :)))
I pushed for Bob in the last round of negotiations. Apparently there was a dog called Bob that attacked him when he was growing up. I need to start putting my foot down, I think... ;) advice on getting your own way would be welcomed here!
Oh, OB, just today reserved the rest of the sovereigns he has, to be picked up from the little welsh shop :)
Bob!
;)
Brilliant post Valju!
I’m sitting here wondering if rightback is getting twitchy now...;)
Welcome Richy and I really hope that Jenny is ok.
I’m sure I’ve missed some posts this week, so did anybody figure out who the Japanese company are, in the end? Fairly subdued day on AIM everywhere, it would seem.
I’m pushing for Sprockett, as it’s really grown on me. Leo I love, but it’s my close friends dog, so it’ll get confusing. Can’t be Jack, as we live in Carmarthenshire ;) other half’s main push is now for Stanley, so I wonder who will win this battle of wills...Ridiculous amount of time to name a dog, I’m shaking my head...
Richy
Welcome and good luck (thumbs up) :)
OB
Im very new to trading shares (6 months) and have made many mistakes on my journey, initialling buying RR at 3.19 a few months ago, whoops!! then a few errors trading AIM, showing an initial 6k loss. The penny then dropped, research ,research, research and came across Valirx at 8p and kept on buying with an average today at 17p. (yes, recouped my losses) I will have to say, i'm really enjoying all your posts and research. Hopefully the positive results for VAL201 will land in the next few days, extending the lives for many.
I was doing a little research and came across this link published yesterday in the daily research chronicle discussing Tyrosine Protein Kinase Fyn Market 2020 Future Scope and Price Analysis of Top Manufacturers Profiles AB Science SA, AstraZeneca Plc, Bristol-Myers Squibb Co, ValiRx Plc
