Okay guys, so lth stay frosty and believe in what u invested in
Those who have lost faith pls stop running company down because all you're doing is stopping new investors from seeing how good this could be.
Over the top rampers just stop it. Nothing is certain in oil so let's just see what actually plays out. It will be all good but let's keep sp targets realistic in the short term shall we. There is a pandemic going on you know.
And as for those malevolent souls on here, go****yourselves and leave the BB
Ha Ha Tymers, I feel as If you know me, under normal circumstances you would have been correct, but never had a drink for 7 weeks now
Ninetails no good asking you if you have had a drink!!
SS has done a job...a job on the shareholders!!

A CEO's legal responsibilities to his company's SHAREHOLDERS are broken down into three distinct fiduciary duties: the duty of care, the duty of loyalty and the duty of disclosure. The duty of care refers to the CEO's responsibility to consider all of the available information relevant to business decisions, including the advice of experts and employees. The duty of care also includes the responsibility to understand and evaluate the company's day to day operations and the terms of agreements. The duty of loyalty requires that a CEO always acts in the best interest of a business's SHAREHOLDERS, and that he places that interest above his own in business decisions. This includes the responsibility to avoid conflicts of interest. Finally, the fiduciary duty of disclosure mandates that a CEO fully inform both the board of directors and the shareholders about the major issues facing the business.
Business Judgment Rule
'There would have been good reason why SS was granted the bonus- how about finding out WHY first.'
Most would like to know the answer to that question but it was not in the accounts. It is worth noting that the share price dropped from 2p to 1p during the reporting period so the bonus was not granted for creating shareholder value, was it?
Backwoodsman-I didn't think it would be long before you popped your ugly head above the parapet. You who are hedging for it to fail. By one small comment-'it wouldn't be difficult to replace SS for around £200K' shows your total lack of corporate knowledge.
There would have been good reason why SS was granted the bonus- how about finding out WHY first.
You clearly don't understand how a Company is run...
'I hope he never reads the comments on this board'
Dou t he ever will ,doubt he ever looks at the SP either
Cardinal3- Yes the SP has crashed it was hype driven to begin with pushed by the MM's. The remuneration packages are not profit driven so perhaps in the future, we as shareholders might suggest that they are. Shareholders in anything take the risk but you have the option to bail at any point in time and to use the trading opportunities which arise from time to time.
Its an irrational person that makes this personal---its not SS's fault. He's doing his job and in time I hope he proves this. Promise me all you moaners that you'll all stand up like men and apologise. I hope he never reads the comments on this board or worse on twitter as there are some proper idiots and vile people out there.
have a good evening and try to keep the faith while you are invested and for those who aren't invested just bugger off....
Seadoc-if you no longer have a financial interest can I ask you to keep your thoughts to yourself. The BOD have done nothing at all incorrect here! In my humble view.
Skwizz- Who do you think are the technical team? It is the BOD's responsibility to ensure the Company has the potential assets under its control.... This is a very small team of highly skilled passionate people committed personally, to proving this project. SS I am positive, has a lot more at stake here than just salary...
LTH your point about getting the best people is entirely reasonable. However from a shareholder perspective the value of the shares has crashed, the company makes losses yet that seems to be worth a bonus of more than twice the CEO’s base pay? The only people taking any risk are the shareholders, not the directors. The only positive I can see is that HMRC will nobble 45% of his bonus and quite a slice of his base.
It isn't the BoD's function to locate huge oil and gas pools.
The board of directors' key purpose is to ensure the company's prosperity by collectively directing the company's affairs, whilst meeting the appropriate interests of its shareholders and stakeholders.
:)
I have read a large number of comments regarding the remuneration of the management. The appalling double standards of supposedly intelligent people. On one hand you want the very best people to run and manage the Company. Pointing in the right direction and with the technical knowledge to locate huge oil and gas pools ( all for shareholder value in the future ) with all the stress that must be associated with exploration. When the share price is low I might hasten to add at this stage is not an indicator of true value, drops due to various acquisitions which have to be paid for prior to the asset being realised and circumstances outside the company's control, you have the audacity to complain. Remember---you are the very same people who in a few months will be applauding them for their expertise.
STOP BLOODY MOANING AND HAVE SOME PATIENCE AND REMEMBER IT WAS YOUR CHOICE TO INVEST.
