Well, I don't know what the likes of Earache & MrT are saying but suspect they are denouncing the views of those that have taken a view to sell part of all of their holdings; at least in the short term.
Yes, I too sold off my Short Tranche holdings as the RNS wasn't good news.
As for the Corona Virus; Let's be clear, I'm not a Biologist etc but I am a scientist ad quite capable of separating chaff from the wheat. The problems with the Virus isn't that it's just another of Flu or SARS.
1) It's to do with the fact that there still isn't a DEFINITE anthology of its various transmission mechanisms. At present it's beilieved its both contact and air-borne; but there are many 'debates' over its verocity & uptake.
2) The biggest issue is that there is still not 'yet' a definitive 'vaccine'; and as pointed out by another Board Member; it will mutate.
3) The major issue is that the actual survival ratio isn't actually truly known. Standard Flu deaths are rated around 1% (average) death rates. At present the 'possible' percentage for a 'pandemic-like' issue like Coronavirus could well exceed 1-8%-2%+ - that's a factor of 18-20 times .... that's the real 'scary' thing.
4) Until a vaccine is freely avialable; and sufficient 'treatment' facilities are available; any large-scale increase in the spread means severe if not catastrophic failures in available care.
5) As many may have heard; the UK (and many other countries) have emergency Pandemic-based mechanisms in place whereby Triage will 'select' those most likely to survive given care & treatment - hence thzt in itself creates a level of panic.
6) Supply chains are being hit, and even if China can get back to any form of 'normality' the impact has yet to be fully realised in the projections of many companies - who at present have effectively 'suspended' any future estimates.
This all creates panic not only in society but in the financial world.
The big issue; is that its NOT the Coronavirus that just causing this. As i've mentioned previously; the World financial market is at a plateau; a period of stagnation followed by large-scale correction, due to significant broad debt for many countries, and the effects of 'self-protection' by many countries (including Germany, france, USA) is deemed by many to bring about an upcoming major correction.
The Coronavirus happens to have come at probably the worst point in time; likely to tip the balance sooner than later.
The only GOOD thing is that this momentous moment has given countries a 'wake-up call' to reconsider their supply chain infrastructure and reliance on limited suppliers (aka China).
So yes, this is a period of wait-and-see; monitor prices and hope to buy in and average down in the next 1-2 months - and absolutely PRAY that the potential CRASH hasn't been brought forward.
Personally, i was expecting to begin withdrawing medium & long term holdings in about 12-18 months - now I really don't know;
P.S. People will panic b
id forgotten what the colour blue looked like... ;-]
Des
"Could see 0.12 tomorrow. It will certainly fall early doors"
Holding steady here at the minute, remember though the pair of resident experts are always 100% right??? yeah!!!
Mr T
Hang on Des
Post earlier today rec a Strong Buy
Now later post a Strong Sell!!!!
Which is it man?
Oh never mind though cus Des and his happy clappy mate are always right???
Pair of clowns more like it?
I can't get me breath here??
Mr T
Dav3j - I'm not looking for any pat on the back, pal. I have my opinion and you have yours. A lapse in the news flow here, coupled with the threat of coronavirus will IMHO see the share price continue to drop-off. The potential still remains though, but you just need to be careful getting the timing right. There are a few too many uncertainties at the moment, so a bit of a gamble. Destitute is playing his cards right therefore.
Mate, you don't have a clue. MrT is right, you were all for everyone piling in north of 0.20p, now all of a sudden you and Jez are busy patting yourselves on the back about how great you both are at gauging stocks and saying how this is doomed. Yet nothing has fundamentally changed. Admit it, you've just got spooked.
Jez
Someone needs to, that is self evident dear boy.
Now run along with your mask , its playtime.
Sorry to burst you bubble son, but Des did not call it right, read previous posts!!
Urging investors to get in at 20/22p?? dear me? do yourself a favour, don't blindly follow sheep who you don't know!! use your own initiative? if you have any!
Mr T
Don't try and school me, Triumph. You will see that Des' and I have called it right when it happens. I'm watching from the sidelines at the moment because I am wary of the coronavirus and its effects on world stock markets.
This makes perfect sense now!!
"I am rarely wrong and highly intelligent" said Jez the greatest, hang on, then we have
" In all fairness, Des' called it right and I didn't and ended up losing £6k"
Hang on I'm lost which is it?
Anyone?
As I said we thought Simon was bad enough, but having to read this verbal diarrhoea is quite astounding!!
Jez, grow up and do us all a favour, get back to your desk, teacher is calling for you, although quite why, is anyones guess. Eejits
Mr T
Des' and I go back a long way. We were both caught-up in the MYSQ debacle, which saw a lot of good people lose a lot of money. In all fairness, Des' called it right and I didn't and ended up losing £6k whilst others lost over £250k. No names mentioned. Since then, my predictions have been pretty much spot-on, so it seems I have learnt something along the way.
curse of the commentator.. ;-] if your right Jez / Des ill be stake building.. didnt think i would ever get a chance at those levels.. but id be taking more onboard IF / WHEN it happens.. what a difference a week makes eh...
It's beginning to look that way, Des'. No news for a while here, coupled with the impending threat of the coronavirus. 0.1p-0.12p is a more realistic price for UFO at the moment IMHO.
Triumph,
No, not me. Sorry to shatter your fantasy. I'm not interested at these inflated prices. Just MM games, which I won't play. Let them have their bit of fun. It won't last for very long.
Nice big spread to protect us... thank god for MM's ;-] FTSE is getting a gubbing .. my remaining AIMS are either suspended or safe and cosy under the wing of my MM friends lol...
Jez is in I see
First trade of the day, but expensive Jez???
Dinner money?
Mr T
