Thanks for the offer but not today! Maybe if you get me hammered:)))
Hi Ben
You not interested in my 50p offer then :)))
Good morning bamps
Yes things have been progressing well for most on here.
I’ve been enjoying day trading Glencore, going quite well at the moment!
As I said before you don’t get charged stamp duty, so as long as you are not greedy you can make a living.
I found it seems to swing with the price of copper.
Anyway enjoy your weekend and good luck for next week
Hi Wb
I think the Tw board have been very progressive in this crisis and have done extremely well, surprised the others haven't followed .
Odx are interesting as they have income from other tests such as allergens.
I'm still dabbling with hydrogen stocks, Itm have been fantastic investment for me and a punt with Phe H2 from waste plastic.
The one stock though I would suggest is Ggp it's not really taken off yet still waiting for resource estimate.
Have a good weekend oh I mean lockdown:((
Although also new, I do enjoy this board. I particularly like the differing views on here. I don't think builders look good but I like hearing the alternative views. I do think TWs management has been good so far throughout this.
Finding it difficult to find much information on the technology behind Omega diagnostics products but looks an interesting investment.
Yourgene have some good products in growth areas, even without coronavirus. I like their pregnancy genetic testing kits. Covers both analysis of free DNA, which has a big crossover with oncology, and genetic testing in utero which will probably be approved by NICE soon and rolled out to NHS and has room for expansion into other areas such as immunoglobulin D etc
The pharma players I am finding more difficult to gauge are the well established, well known mid players like abcam. Which should have the expertise to do well but haven't done anything yet
Hi Bamps
I used to invest in Tech stocks and did very well out of them until the DotCom Bust 2001. Started investing again 12 years later but almost no Tech stocks left (bought out by foreign competition cos they were so cheap). Only Arm left and now that's gone as well, so needed Plan B.
That is when I came across builders as being the best value by miles. I still think that is the case, but even more so now, cos of Cash, Divis… and as long as the shortage of houses remains (at least 15 years!) their prospects are great, so not worried about lack of diversification.
Rather like you I have solid shares (builders) and growth shares (far too many nano but still hopeful there, ggp, ncyt and ygen). I am going to look up sng, odx and your other tips cos I would like 5 or 6 growth shares for diversification since they are more risky.
Now I have very close to 50% solid, 50% growth, but not planned - just the way prices have gone.
Thanks again for your excellent suggestions.
Hi Tom
Thanks for the info, times certainly have changed. When I worked for GW they gave a £50 discount if an employee bought a GW home, as they had done for years (without ever increasing it). When asked about this management agreed it wasn't much so just stopped it!

Nige Hi,
Here are the TW. details.

Have a good day,

Tom :-))
Hi Nige
I'm glad the builders have all rebounded a bit especially for you. I'm glad you're diversifying a little, I know you are very adamant that the builders are strong but I have been concerned for you not diversifying. Look what it's done for Tom.
Even my portfolio of 50% divi stocks and 50% growth has gone by the wayside, more like 80% growth now. I'm not holding many stocks that don't pay divis, only got a few thousand left here now and just sit on these.
My thinking around the current situation is the testing sector has the greatest growth and have 3 at the moment Ncyt,Ygen, and Odx . The first 2 are linked to the antigen test and Odx has joined the antibody rapid test group bit of a punt but looks good.
I've been researching the vaccine companies and I'm hearing conflicting accounts, so I'm not convinced it's anytime soon .
When this is all over I will revert back to my original strategy but at the moment I am playing it by ear
ATB:))
HAPPY EASTER TO ONE AND ALL.
KEEP VERY SAFE AND---------------------------------" DRINK AS MUCH AS YOU CAN" LOL
GOD BLESS ALL!

Hi Tom
Must have got too involved, completely forgot about Easter, so might have another go on Tuesday, but chart seems to have stabilised.
Can't remember the companies involved but one was developing a treatment for Sars and/or Mers, which was abandoned after the pandemic petered out.
So plan is to hold a small base value after Covid19 and sell the rest (hopefully at a good return) just before this disappears.
Impossible to value a company like this cos all based on potential, and day trading is not my way.
Have a good Easter, and BoL
Ps Any details on Pay it forward scheme?
Nige hi,
Had to laugh as I said "hope you bought some more at 372 " its now 362,---- ME! What a plonker saying that.
And by the way you say, "Might have another go tomorrow." the Market is not open tomorrow, hows that for a laugh.
Have a great w/e
ATB and stay safe,
Tom :-)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) HAPPY EASTER ALL
Hi Tom
Range 517.5 1:38 then down to 318.5 2:04 but not gone thru, I probably put the deal on after 2:04.
That's a shame, but with this sort of volatility a great opportunity. Might have another go tomorrow.
BoL
Nige are you watching, 385 now, hope you bought some more at 372 :-)))))))
Nige Hi,
If I were you I would keep "ON LINE" and wait for another drop then snap their hand off. Leave your buy limit at 320 but wait and watch and maybe you might get an opp to get cheaper as the MM@s do their thing.. Personally I think this is about to fly before close so watch closely !!!!!!!
Best of luck and don't take my advice.
Tom:-))))
Hi Tom
Been watching ncyt sp going crazy, up to over 500 now 372 so put a buy in limit of 320. On the way back up now so don't know it will get down to 320.
BoL
I should add with the deepest respect to the current situation !!!!
Bamps hi, It went to 518 but MM's jumped in and dropped the price quickly so many got spooked and sold out as quick as they could. MM's jumped all over them and snatched them up, very silly novices selling on a spook fall. Things are going on so lets keep our powder dry as they say. Now back up tp 370.
Still up 44% so no worries. Hold is my thoughts. IMO it will go up and down as we speak as soon as the MM's snap up those shares being sold. I was up £25k today in a matter of hours. This is really Great fun to sit at home making money with a glass of wine in the Sun, lol.

Tom :-)
Hi Tom
What is happening any idea Ncyt over £4
ATB:))
Iron's Hi,
Great to hear from you, hope you are keeping well.
Yes I did the same and got out at 218 just about the right time before the drastic drop off. I too will be back but not this year as all tied up with GGP, NCYT, SNG, & ROCK, that's enough for me.
I agree that we could be hit with an after-shock/recession that will possibly effect the global markets big time but that has yet to be seen and hope it does not happen.
What a lovely day and I will be out soon with a bucket of water to give the Car a clean. Not much point as I can't go out for a blast, when's it shopping day ?
Keep safe and well, best wishes to the family !!
ATVB
Tom :-))))))
Tom Hi,
Good to see you are in NCYT.
It’s one of the few companies that’s provided me with a good return, using 100% profits gained from Novacyt from Feb, so no risk. Now way up again over 200% plus. Next RNS hopefully showing incremental gains with increased production volume capacity/capability.
With reluctance, I sold TW at 210 and sold some other shares at the same time which I felt was the right thing to do, it will certainly rally back for holders.
Shares have been like watching falling knifes. It’s such an awful situation right now for absolutely everyone. I will be back in TW that’s for sure especially watching the recent rally the last few days. Have been hovering over the buy button today and weighing up whether to jump back in now or wait. After-shock/recession could possibly effect the global markets or then maybe a positive jump climb will continue especially once the world shows consistent global numbers falling. Waiting to see US unemployment data figures this afternoon and see if this impacts the global markets.
Nice day to wash the car. :)
