My personal opinion as been ex employee there there mind set in one direction and that was generally send the firn into a big black hole as the mindset was following the wolf ideology which didn't work first time and hasn't worked this time anyone that tryed changing the course was quickly shotdown then replaced by yes persons
Is the Low Frequency Noise from the different screens giving a cumulative effect ? If there were less screens would that be better and easier for the licence approval
One version of the circuit had 16 screens and if the magnetic circuit was adopted it would use only 6 screens
Would that be a better scenario for the licence to be
Approved ?
Look forward to comments
A very long winded response for no new information but not sure what you expected given TW is a listed company and EA isn't exactly going to disclose sensitive information to a civilian.
Dear Croissant,
Thank you for your email of XX September 2023 enquiring as to the progress of our determination of the Tungsten West mineral processing plant application EPR/XXXXXXXX/XXXX.
This is an application of High Public Interest due to historic issues associated with low frequency noise (also known as infrasound) when the plant was operated by a previous operator.
We continue to work with Tungsten West to assess and determine their most recent proposals submitted earlier this year. The assessment process has at times required us to request further information from the applicant, which in turn must be fully reviewed by appropriate experts within the Environment Agency to ensure that the impacts of the proposals are fully understood. Our role when determining a permit application is to protect the local community and environment from pollution.
We hold regular meetings with the applicant to ensure they are aware of progress, understand issues to be addressed and when further information may be required. We have communicated to Tungsten West the timeframe in which we expect to provide a determination decision.
We are committed to providing a determination decision to both the applicant and local community in as timely a manner as possible and continue to work constructively with Tungsten West to achieve this.
I hope this response has provided you with the information you were seeking. If we have misunderstood your request and you are instead seeking copies of documents relating to the ongoing determination process we would be happy to consider this a request under the Environmental Information Regulations and respond accordingly.
Please get in touch if you have any further queries or questions regarding your enquiry.
Kind regards,
Rumour control at the Miners arms says Tungsten west will cease to exist soon.
OMG have you seen the CLN dilution!!!
Resolutions and agenda were posted on the TUN website croissant.
ATB LB
Has anyone managed to source the minutes of the AGM so we can see what the resolutions were and what has been agreed to.
Many thanks
TUN will be long gone before any money is forthcoming for infrastructure that would be to their benefit. You're sounding desperate.......
As part of the HS2 cancellation/redirection of funding the SW gets:-
Funding for vital Exeter to Plymouth rail line. ...... Could be helpful............
Opening more railway lines between Cullompton and Wellington.
A new station built at Tavistock connecting it with Plymouth. ...... Could be helpful............
£100m in funding for a Mass Transit system.
£140m in funding to ensure the delivery of 12 road schemes. Could be helpful
A further £1bn fund for new road schemes around the South West, South East and East of England.
Look at that chart - apart from the initial pump its all dump. Some people have been utterly fleeced.
Perhaps a better why would be why did Nigel and friends quit? The only directors left look like they're drawing minimum wage. Big Nige was on big bucks like all the others who've walked.
Another might be Why did those three late comers get parachuted in? Are they seeking additional finance or are they setting up the fire sale? Its all starting to look rather grubby. I wonder what connections exist between these players and the EA or the Minster with oversight? Perhaps its worth doing a little digging.
Given the application to operate went in first in August 2021, if the EA had helped it would have been decided by now. So being on the critical minerals list, being a strategic asset, necessary for munitions is not enough for HMG to intervene. One does wonder whether there is someone seeking to make this fail. But why?
It seems quite likely at this point. If I were an institutional Investor I'd want to buy the whole company rather than invest when there's this much blood in the water.
Massive asset underfoot headed for fire sale prices. I predict a bankruptcy in which EA permissions are received (sadly too late), creating a fire sale turn-key asset worth billions to be sold for pennies. Crafty b'stards.
Very few now remaining at the mine. The goal seems to be to reduce the wage bill as much as possible until they get the permit. Will they then sell to a company with the money to take this great resource into production or try to raise money? Either way Private investors usually get dumped on
Ian
I understand that TUN had to produce those reports, to satisfy the Environment Agency that the low frequency noise problem encountered by Wolf operations, could be overcome. Without satisfying the EA, there was and is, no hope of being granted an operating permit.
Making noise reports ( and measurements ) when the mine is not fully working sounds like a waste of time , energy and money
They could have more creative and made measurements around a identical METSO semi movel crushing unit which has been ordered ( not clear if it has been payed in part or totally ) to look forward to the new TWL operational future
Ian Gordon
First off I need to offer a correction - it's 121 mining investment London in Nov. Not money and mines.
Anyway on the subject of noise and vibration - some light reading for you. Not sure if you've seen these historical reports. I've skipped over them and drawn a conclusion but interested to see what you and others think. Enjoy.

Hopefully the baffling / negative sound waves will have done the trick anyway.
Yep. Reading this I was hopeful that there may be some top down pressure exerted to get the EA to act swiftly. I imagine the permit status was at least mentioned in passing. Shows the BOD are trying to lobby the decision makers. I'm hoping it's granted before mines&money in Nov. Would be great timing.

LB Cracking find! Hope at the 11th hour.................
Thanks again for the new messages
My advice
1 ) don’t buy the mobile crushers but rent them . These mobile units come with a classification screen with 3 decks to lmake the 2 different sized feeds for the ore sorter
2 ) the ore sorters (7 ) have already been purchased✅
And are on site ✅… the New FS will use 4 units so sell the other 3 ore sorters to give more money available
3) ore sorters are high on energy and I see no mention of compressors being puchased with the ore sorters …. Don’t buy the compressors but rent them by the operation in a service contract through a third party

The Tungsten West team had the privilege of meeting with Nusrat Ghani MP, Minister of State at the Department for Business and Trade and Minister of State responsible for the Investment Security Unit, to discuss developments at Hemerdon. The Meeting aimed to explore opportunities for collaboration to strengthen the UK's tungsten and critical minerals industry.
The Meeting, which took place on Thursday 21st September 2023 in London, brought together Minister Ghani and representatives from DBT, EA, and DLUHC, to discuss the crucial role tungsten plays in the industrial sector, the future prospects of Hemerdon, and how a business environment can be optimised to unlock the critical mineral potential of the UK.
This meeting marked an important milestone in Tungsten West's commitment to sustainable mining, stakeholder engagement, and the development of a domestic tungsten supply.
Neil Gawthorpe, CEO of Tungsten West, stated: "Our meeting with Minister Nusrat Ghani was a tremendous opportunity to discuss our shared commitment to responsible mining and sustainable development, as well as the challenges the sector faces. Tungsten’s importance to emerging industries and green technologies ensures that it will play a pivotal role in the UK's economic growth, placing value on projects like Hemerdon. It was a pleasure to discuss these matters with Minister Ghani and we look forward to working collaboratively to help realise the potential of both Hemerdon and the UK’s critical minerals sector."

My understanding is Royalty funding was/is conditional on permitting. This was always the case with the original IPO package.
Working capital is clearly an issue which is why market cap is so low. TW are a risk if they are unpermitted and investor patience to prop up working capital is clearly thin with a) lack of take-up of Tranche C and B) massively under-subscribed open offer.
We are all in the same 'waiting game' boat. EA permit for the MPF will trigger long-term fund raising. The Company are clearly trying to preserve capital until this happens - they're certainly not going to entertain the idea of changing the flow sheet.
FWIW in reply to previous statements - the DMS power draw is insignificant in costs compared to L&H, D&B, Ore Sorting. It does its job in the plant and recoveries of around 54% is sufficient to deliver the project. The FS update showed the project was no longer sensitive to power, especially when you compare it to more sensitive inputs like head grade, recovery, FX.
Many thanks for the courteous and polite replies!
I hadn't realised that the orion package was off the table. My understanding was there were some conditions attached for it to trigger. Permits being the last hurdle.
From reading your posts it seems like you have been involved in the background for some time here so I still wish you well with your discussions. Shame you didn't apply for one of the NED positions. It could have got you in the door so to speak.
Personally I'd prefer they progress now with the current plan once the last permit is granted. Dicey times on the horizon. Deploying your revised circuit could always be done in parallel maybe.
All the best and thanks again for the explanations. Good luck getting your ideas across.
Cheers LB
