Gooday Bruce, Yup, I'm still in both NPT & TTR I was also in GVC & 888 but have taken profits', although I am looking to get back in GVC at the right price. TTR& NPT are both due some sort of trading statement soon, if last year is anything to go by? I'm not in for much & I have so far resisted the temptation to average down (currently my averages are TTR at 55p NPT at 14P) or to sell. As any gambler will tell you.."It could go either way" LoL Best regards, Blue
Is there anyone out there still invested n 32red or NPT? I am trying to keep the faith, but seeing the SP head south is pretty alarming. This is a company that makes money, but the effects of the POC and the bad press regarding the effects of gambling, may well be catastrophic!!!
Thanks will take a look
E Gaming Magazine have it headlined. If you google it. It was handed down Dec 3, likely to be heard early part of 2015...The regulatory part is a done deal, the 15% tax is separate....
Any chance you could post source? I can't find reference to this in the journals / Hansard. I was under impression now a done deal.
This is separate from the earlier case which gave opinion (in the main) on regulation and regulators. The new case is focussed on whether the levy of a 15% tax complies with the law......
If the courts decide the tax is in breach of EU law then UK facing gaming stocks will do nicely. The courts are required “as soon as practicable” to set out a timetable for the preparation of a hearing in front of a judge. He/she will then decide whether or not to proceed any further with the JC....this should be in the next 30 days...
Any details on this Tipster? If successful, then these should shoot back up in 2015. If not, then they will rise...but...much...slowerrrrr!!!
The Gibraltar Betting and Gaming Association has been granted a judicial review of the UK government’s introduction of a 15% tax on UK punters..Friday Dec 5.
increasing shhhh!!!
Can only see this continuing to drift into the 30p's purely on POC tax sentiment alone. Should begin to pick up in the new year once the tax has been implemented
The other possibility of course, is that a bigger company will step in with a take-over bid!!! One lives in hope...and a belief in fairies!!!!
One gaming company that seems to be holding up well is GVC, good yield too.
This will bounce, its mis-informed investors moving out as they read 15% POCT.NGR was 15,2m H1, with Italy 0.5m/.com 14,7m. Assuming dot come business is 90% UK, the Effective rate of POCT is 13% of NGR.Assuming their software suppliers chip in, and allow royalties after POCT that's c. 2%, bringing POCT to 11%. its not hard to see affiliates shaving 1 point off, down to 10% of NGR. ..So even with no growth next year that is c55p a share...on a moderate valuation basis, up 25% from now.
Likewise sticking with this for the long haul as now valued nearly 50 per cent less than my purchase price. I will ignore this for the rest of this year and focus just on my housing stocks. GL Barrers
It's carnage all over AIM today, so TTR is suffering along with the rest. Sometimes stocks just become unpopular, and at the moment the whole gaming sector is getting a bad press. It's not just the POCT, it's whether investors want to put their money in companies that encourage gambling!!! I am banking on riding out this period of uncertainty and arriving in 2015 with the POCT having had a limited impact and investors with spare cash wanting to invest in a cash rich sector. The fundamentals are still sound, but not exciting, so rather than take a loss I am sticking this one out in the hope of making a small profit...then pulling out and investing in something far more safe and sensible!!!
Hi Tipster123 and Gerinako, thank you for your repsonses.. do we know what's currently attributing to the downward pressure of this share? Assuming POCT has been factored some time ago, I don't understand why we are falling.
The Analysts have 2015 as 5m Ebitda, with the tax. 15% is the headline rate , but as 888 pointed out there are many factors to mitigate the effective rate which should be nearer c8%. Affiliates will take a hit, software suppliers (unlike 888) will take a hit and inevitably after as while marketing costs will reduce, albeit not by much...This year they WERE pencilled in for 6m, next year was 7-7.2m Ebitda without the tax..., so 5m with it is not outlandish...but even if they do 4m in 2015 this still looks great value...but not sure they have bottomed yet...so maybe ideal for long termers, not traders
To be honest I bought in the mid-50's after looking it through and believing that POC had been factored in. As we all knew the POC tax was coming just needed a definitive date. So was somewhat surprised to see the drop to where we are now. Wouldn't worry though. I think she's definitely got room to grow.
Cheers bruce27 for a calming voice of reason.. Im new to the stock, and will be disappointed if my recent purchase price hadn't already factored the new tax. Is there any positive news we can expect to hear over the next few months that will mitigate the influence of the tax hike? Will we be more align to the tax payment of our uk based competitors or will we be at a disadvantage?
I don't think we should be too shocked that a growing comp[any, in growing sector, that makes money and holds a lot in cash....should have to pay tax. Be patient and hang in there for a steady rise over a year to 18 months. Keep your nerve and top-up if you feel comfortable with the numbers.

http://www.totallygaming.com/news/hmrc-launches-online-registration-poc-tax wheels of motion are turning.. maybe this is a done deal
Whats the latest news on the PoC tax? Is there a cut off date whether it has been succesfully challenged or failed. Are there any key dates to look out for? Appreciate any info in regards to this.
Still no news on the JR for the tax (standalone) and picking the bottom is virtually impossible on such a thin trading stock, but it appears UK Market is good, according to 888 update...there is more upside risk than downside, perhaps on this one...
