Sadly Chris, fundamentals go out of the window. More traders now than investors. Usual pattern is that it rises towards the close and then the large institutional trades get published.
-surprised to see the sp down this morning - had a flick thru the trades screen - lots of buys and a number of sells of 3 and 4 units. so its the same ole' manipulating trading.
surely the regulators need to be asking questions and bring these blighters to account?
Bogus SD not SP...cant spell today
Just about to look am curious to see if the SP will jump out of the gate on the race this week to have to have your shares consolidated for a in my opinion bogus SP...let's see
old mob not old bob lol..typos
My chum worked there from 18 for over 30 years...the joke was he was employed by Tesco he didn;t work for them. He talked about the benefits of the old contracts and how well the old crowd did vs jack for newbies....from my understanding the old bob did vry well out of massively generous incentives in particular the pension...totally unobtainable today
Surly this forum has to be kept to share value and ownership. Totally understand frustrations however and agree it’s very tough for some ..... thanks to all who keeps us going. Tough enough times so let’s keep ,it simple if we can. Have managed a team ( not Tesco) or I this sh..t
I apologise for my assumption. I will leave you two to tussle it out.
Been a manager in tesco for 27 years so think I can last more than 30 mins managed a team of over 200 through the pandemic and faced some really tough times i know trb type they think the world or tesco owe them something and when he asked the question about saye I knew it was all about him even though the world in general is really struggling sad times.
Clueless
I assume that this is just an off day. Do not disrespect anyone for earning a living, for making sure people, in the midst of a pandemic, are fed and watered. To disrespect a person for putting food on the table of his /her family (an assumption, I don't know TRB's circumstances), a roof over their heads and clothes on their back is not the mark of a good person. Believe me, with that attitude, you wouldn't last 30 minutes in TESCO and not 30 years. People are respected for who they are and not for what they are.
Trb
Your pathetic hand your notice in if you don't like working for tesco although no one else would take you.
To trb
Yawn yawn tell us all about your big investments before you head to nightshift in tesco lol
Sure you know you don't get any recognition for 30 years next congratulations is 40 years 1200 gift card keep packing out your yogurts m8 I still laugh at your big 1k investment in rr pmsl
Thank you rosewall your the first one to say well done much appreciated,
Well done mate
So I managed 30 years last month,
Sadly no badge yet or even a thank you or well done .
The company may well of put a chunk into the pension fund but feel they don’t feel to much about the current staff. Jmho of course and may differ store to store ,
Good to see Leigh day win in there latest effort for equal pay for shopworker staff
So true Rosewell.
Wrong, absolutely wrong. The SP is what a manipulated market values the company at. It is nothing to do with the value of the company.
Equibrium,
"I always thought that the SP highlighted the value of the company."

I don't tend to reinvest dividends with the same company. To auto reinvest means accepting the price at the time. I may decide to wait for another time. Also, I tend to use dividends as risk capital and invest it into potentially higher growth shares, the proceeds of which go into safer shares.
Equilibrium,
It looks like you've answered your own questions!

Can someone explain what the share price is expected to be after Consolidation... I always thought that the SP highlighted the value of the company. If the number of shares is reduced then the value of each share goes up as the value of the company remains constant, there are just less slices of the cake! With the divi coming in I guess that would lower the value of the company bit this was due to a cash injection due to a sale of part of the company. Interested to hear what predictions are for the SP post exdiv and consolidation. My bet? £2.60. -22% of shares +22% Divi.
Investments within an ISA will not be impacted by any personal tax. But if you have taxable gains outside of an ISA then the bed&ISA could still create a tax charge for you. Once the funds are in the ISA then subsequent gains are tax free. Hope that's clear and of course DYOR. JJ
Yes you can ‘ISA wrap’ your investment and not pay any tax on any gain or on the dividends. £20,000 in total.
If you don’t do anything then you will be liable fir tax on any dividend value of 2k and above.
You will have to hope that the ‘spread’ is quite tight and the cost of dealing charges and duty is less than the value of any tax liabilities if that makes sense.
Am I right in thinking if I sell 20,000 And buy them straight back (bed&isa) There is no need to worry about capital gains tax?
Thanks in advance
