2nd december 2011 Francis Hackett, Chairman of the Company, said today: "I would like to thank Neil Eckert, the outgoing Chairman, for his co-operation with the incoming board during the transition process. We acknowledge the firm mandate we have from shareholders to proceed with the realisation of the assets of the Company and the return of cash to shareholders. We will do everything in our power to execute on that mandate having regard, however, to the challenging economic environment for carbon credits and the need to extract maximum value from the range of private equity assets held by the Company in an orderly fashion."

Analysts at brokerage Peel Hunt revised their recommendation for Trading Emissions to "buy" from "hold" while keeping their target price at 38p. Even if carbon prices fell to zero the company's NAV would be 28p per share, they said, but added: "We do not anticipate an improvement in the carbon market, which remains an unpleasant place to be." AGREE!! Think the interest needs to grow a bit here but deffo a good play for some nice gains and if the Durbun deal boosts carbon prices we may get back on track with the asset disposals!?
Cant watch today - look after her for me. Make sure she doesnt crash now wont you ;) 24p close would be nice. But seems to be some peoples targets for some reason? Recovery bounce? 28p's worth of cash in the company - surely thats the "sell" point if any?

At current carbon prices, the company's NAV should be around 26p per share, said Gus Hochschild, an alternative energy equity analyst at Mirabaud Securities LLP.
