George Frangeskides, Chairman at ALBA, explains why the Pilbara Lithium option ‘was too good to miss’. Watch the video here.

PJ was a NED in Thor,
he left due to being frustrated on MB’s cloth ears.
This Paul Jonson chap use to be Thor ceo so he has inside info about pilot. He says he wants to ipo pilot into its own vehicle. Interesting. He comes across as a genuine man no bs the kind of ceo Thor should have retained in my opinion.
A rather pleasant 3.5 mill purchase showing end of day too.
Been very much a to and fro game. Let’s see how that pans out in the morning.
Cu very much part of the ev revolution. Just look at lithium stocks in the past year or so. Copper is next along with graphite me thinks. Ganfeng China buying bacanora, partner in lithium Americans and partner in ffx Mali. Not relevant to thor one might think but it illustrates the lithium point. Same will happen to copper. It goes hand in hand.
A good chance of a golden cross soon
Small spread between bid and offer. A lot of sells being soaked up. Can sell 3m without going to NT. Looks as though there is demand for THR!
Similar to the opec strategy I guess.
You got the Chinese using their stockpile to lower inflation/copper price
on the other side of the coin there's the potential miners strikes in Chile which increases the copper price,
that's the markets for yer.
Dumping a large amount of copper suddenly can control the speculative markets and allow cheaper copper to be purchased later.
You're correct RC 89 ...latest is China selling 30k tonnes of its copper in 1st Sept auction. Looks like those who cry China copper shortage have a (not so hidden) agenda
yeah and they keep auctioning their stockpile a bit at a time,
just had one last week I think that's the third one of the year and probably will keep going until end of the year,
says it all really.

china seems to be running low on copper.
I think it’s more hope than speculation (copper and gold probably) and hopefully a BOD that’s actually going to do what it says there going to do.
Thanks I guess there may be some speculation here due to U asset but probably limited due to long period to bring to production imho
More like a 3 year coma (my personal experience)
Yes that’s correct. My mistake. Both projects in us that’s where I got confused. Should see some upside now billing is gone. That guy could easy put you to sleep with his speech.
The Uranium and Vanadium projects are in Colorado and Utah. Pilot Mountain has Tungsten. A small resource that they could not secure a JV 2 to 3 years ago even though THR went through a process.
Pilot Mountain has nothing to do with the Uranium assets
That was my interpretation that THR still have the U asset? I'll research further but grateful for any others understanding
Pretty certain there's no horde of uranium at pilot mountain which is the Tungsten deposit flipped to POW.
Dyor gla
So just as uranium prices start to shoot up thor passed the asset to pow. Not a wise move in my opinion given that there is a defined resource ready to be mined. No wonder Paul Johnson of POW was all over it. You know the ex ceo of ggp and their golden resource.
Need some updates on Uranium here

Increase in US U miners last week c 25%
Here's an excellent interview with Paul Johnson, CEO of POW. I don't hold any shares in POW myself (except indirectly through Thor); but may buy some in the not too distant future.

I have thought further about the two events last week. Perhaps they're connected. Maybe Billing opposed the sale of Pilot Mountain, was then outvoted by the board, and felt he had to resign (whereupon the others went "yipee").
It is possible to read Nicole's statement as a piece of irony; "we have greatly appreciated his significant contribution, etc."
The sale of Pilot Mountain (although mostly for shares, not cash) will certainly help us, by reducing the need for further dilution. There will be more fund-raising, but less than there otherwise would have been. And we have to hope that the share price of POW rises, rather than falls.
On a more personal note, I am enjoying my time as a shareholder here (despite carrying a perceptible loss), because the company is interesting to follow, and to speculate on (in both senses of the word).
Cheers Impy - I don't know much about the fella but if you say he's good.......
: )
Hi, Illaquens @15.58
I certainly agree with your second sentence, and particularly like the words "the executioner," which conjure up images of the guillotine and Marie-Antoinette in 1793.
If it is Potter, I think we're lucky, but he's more likely to put in some one else. That he is the power-broker, I have no doubt.
Best wishes
