I think you will find that GOS are not a cyber security company, pity because thats where the big bucks might have been made. As a company 90% of their income comes from homeland security and the contracts that they have with police forces in the UK, thats it really, secure communication for informants of the Bizzies and other hush hush activities. The fabled encryption key from CQCM seems to have been just a red herring to keep us die hard investors hanging on to the bitter death.
Sons of Gwalia, I found that presentation very interesting and sobering. I tried to apply that to my portfolio in 2014/15 after enjoying the a good spell and trying to reinvest in situations where you grab onto the shirt tails of sucessfull management and large share holders. Currently I have a portfolio worth 15% of of 2014 high with 1 company being suspended for 6 months (the 15%) and 2 being delisted such as TGL. One of my miners currently has no assets but the management are close to resecuring funding and having another go, this has the potential to repair 40% of my portfolio value on relisitng (if they pull it off) with the potential to recover many multiples of my original portfolio if they deliver in the longer term. TGL was 10% of my portfolio and I do have hopes that we will get all of the back and potentially several multiples even if it is a sale outside of the market. Let's hope we have backed a few fledgling 7fters.
the directors of intelicrypt are shareholders as well, stanhill as chesty said are being kept up to date. We the shareholders have a right to be kept up to date also. Don't feel afraid to ring up GOS or the other guys at Intelicrypt to get an update. Intelicrypt should carry on news releases on their site, it wouldn't take 10 minutes to do and is the RIGHT thing to do. let your views be known guys and gals.
I initially bought these as a gold miner. I am all into oil and mining stocks ( a chip off the old block from my father ) who made most of his fortune out of mining companies . He lived and breathed the stock market . I took an interest from him an early age even though the rest of my family thought he was a bore. As part of my research dad always taught me to follow serially successful people and that's why I initially bought these under Robert Buchan when the share price got butchered. I believe we are in the right sector here with cyber crime on the increase . My share certificates are in the bottom drawer . Read this recent article http://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-General/Tech-Billionaires-Positioning-Themselves-For-1-Trillion-Cybersecurity-Boom.html Also I think my Dad had Rick Rule's way of thinking. We can all make better Investment decisions by listening to this guy. Watch - Why people are more important than properties https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYwv30iLTv4 Good luck everyone. Keep on learning and always go with your gut.
Thanks Cheesy, I will leave it a bit after your update and hopefully email them in a month or 2 to see if there is any more news. The fact they are prepared to call you it reassuring enough for me.
Thanks Chesy, that's very helpful. The weakness of sterling will clearly help export sales, and the security situation will clearly help sales in general, so hopefully a nice part of this order book pipeline can be converted into actual sales.
Email addresses will get removed. What I did was email the investor address on the GOS website. He replied and then we had a call last week. It was quite positive and it sounds like Stanhill, as large shareholders, are holding the GOS directors to account. They get regular updates. Things are progressing nicely, the client base is strong and valuable, which could make the business a target. (IMO I think the medium term plan would be to sell up). If some new wins are converted then the business will really start doing well. He could not give me an update on encryption keys. That was my take. DYOR, IMO, GLA.
Hi guys, does anyone have Trevor or Waseem email address?
Cheers for answer.I still have hope that my grand children might get something from the few hundred K of these that I have in the old tin box
Yes they should be making full use of the current environment to champion their products. If only we had these new encryption keys ready, the timing would be perfect. Very difficult to say how we are getting on in the background, going by the scraps people have reported I would say medium/well.
as As an old codger I am not into cyber etc but can anyone tell me if the current attacks on the internet will possibly bring any turnover to us ??
See below, this was posted on ADVFN. I would guess a listing in the next year would not be impossible but could be a few years. So long as the business is growing not being listed is not a major problem. Who knows they may grow it into something quite exciting on relisitng and the investment we made a few years ago won't look so bad.
Haven't been following this anywhere as near as i should have been... However - I have a relatively large shareholding here. Anyone know whether/when we can expect to see our money back? Cheers :)
1399Peter posted this on ADVFN "Ok All I have just got off of the phone to Idris. We had a Very good conversation about the business. Things are moving forward and confidence is high. They are looking at ways to improve growth as interest and inquiries have improved greatly through the events they have been attending. And of course the security issues faced by every organisation on the planet. There were no promises made which I respected, no point in that anyway. But I certainly came away thinking that Idris and Ilyas are in it to win it. So I will remain positive that they can turn those inquiries into orders."
Anyone here spoke to to the current many recently?
1399peter on ADVFN decided to write to Ilyas and this is his reply Ok Ilyas has replied and asked why investors felt the December shareholder briefing wasn't adequate. He has also pointed out that he has a lot of money invested in Intelicrypt and loaned them a lot of money last year and wants to see them succeed and feels they will be turning things around towards the end of the year. Intelicrypt /CQC shareholding is a passive holding and is why there was no mention of CQC involvement at the briefing. He also said CQC is a private company and has no plans to go public. Ilyas also said this "I have copied Richard and Idris from Intellicrypt and also Waseem and Trevor from Stanhill. I am sure that they would be delighted to make time to brief you" So if you have any more questions for these guys regarding their performance or lack of or their communications with shareholders or the fact that most of you came away quite depressed from the shareholder briefing. The lack of CQC involvement etc. Just let it out lads, now's your chance to ask.
Has anyone heard any news from the company recently?
Good to see, thanks for posting.
Looking good, they are getting involved with the NQIT program, which has £270m of Gov funding. Now where are GOS's keys! " Collaboration with NQIT March 12, 2017 Cambridge Quantum Computing are very pleased to have won a prestigious EPSRC grant to develop a compiler module for the UK’s flagship quantum computing hub in Oxford, NQIT. Building a quantum computer as a network of smaller devices is central to the NQIT idea. However, quantum algorithms are typically given in a high level mathematical language, and are usually not designed with a granular network in mind. CQC’s compiler project, that is built on groundbreaking work completed last year, will address this problem by exploring the challenges and potential gains of compiling quantum algorithms (or quantum programs) onto a network quantum computer such as NQIT. CQC’s compiler module will be able to evaluate alternative physically realistic network graphs allowing us to understand how much connectivity is useful for NQIT and inform us how one of the first large scale quantum computers can be made to operate at maximum efficiency. An actual change on the website!!! Will be at Milipol Asia-Pacific event in April. Looking good??
At least it suggests CQC is making good progress, and also provides a glimpse of Ilyas Khan, the man behind the whole TGL story. It is just a shame that shareholders have to poke around on the internet to find scraps of information about what might be going on in their company - and are not even informed, for example, when the MD of their principal investment (GOS) leaves, as he did in September.
Thanks for posting an interesting video and worth persevering as it gets more interesting as it goes on.
Quite a long interview with Ilyas Khan on quantum computing, the current state of research and development, and CQC: https://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechDaysOnline/MVP-Led-TechDays-Online-February-2017/An-Introduction-to-Quantum-Computing
Hi SD, I agree the tone at the meeting was that relisting was some time off. I was surprised at what Trevor said myself. Its difficult how to interpret exactly where we are with this company to be honest. GOS's core business does seem to be doing well and we always have our CQCL shares too and encryption keys, when they come to fruition. It would be nice to see some finer details e.g. is Smart desk our best product or is it our communication solutions. I still feel there is some wider game plan we are not yet fully aware of. I remain hesitantly optimistic. Also if the whole project was going to crash and burn I think that would have happened some time ago, therefore our continued existence is a positive in itself. Also the funding raised prior to de-listing (which in my opinion was someone dropping the ball, I don't think they originally planned that, or, they did it on purpose to get out of the Canadian listing issues which they didn't fully appreciate.) Either way ITS is the outcome they wanted and our private company existence at the movement is probably conducive to steady 'critical mass' build up. (That the term they keep saying to me and on the calls.) Ps. enjoy your contributions too.
I should also add that your update has really cheered me up about this share, which quite frankly I had more or less written off.
