I don't think it is all Cliff's fault. The UK seems poor in assigning value to stocks generally. As we saw with Currys and others:
https://www.theguardian.com/business/nils-pratley-on-finance/2024/feb/29/uk-stock-market-isnt-working-undervaluation-wincanton-currys
I think this is also a wider issue as argued by David Einhorn, there are less investors concerned with value of companies and more momentum and other short term strategies:
https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2024-02-08/david-einhorn-says-markets-fundamentally-broken-by-passive-quant-investing
It’s the same everywhere. Once the BoE starts cutting the interest rate then the investors would start to move the money from their saving accounts to the stock market to create a bull market.
Baf , to a degree yes of course your right but the optics or lack of them provided by the CEO is awful and helps out people off , I just hope Tops charts are right but I suspect if Cliff stays in the shadows and keeps taking his money many more will not be confident here . Iv taken a bigger position in SALT now as Cliff drives me potty
Facts are share price is currently less than 40% of Net Assets Value insane discount. Given TEK's assets the share price should be at a premium to NAV. If folk don't want to buy at these levels so be it, seems UK investors have great difficulty adding up in my view
Apparently the company is run by a guy called Cliff ?? Anyone seen him ? Think he's done a bunk
Still asleep at the wheel Cliff, down goes the SP again. Wakey! Wakey! old boy, time for you to move on.

What a crock of 💩 this is
Cheers Top have a great weekend all
I don't know whether it is already too early to get excited by this new AI project but i am. Given the reputation of Alexander Mordvintsev and Deep Dream (A very successful project at Google), and how quickly these tech businesses can mushroom. If he could get a couple of genius programmers from MIT who have some interesting idea... Anyway, i think these are the right people to be able to identify talent and make things happen.
"• Tekcapital wishes to make an early-stage Gen AI investment, most likely in the UK. This investment will take the form of providing both strategic capital and operational support. Investment will be focussed on target markets where AI offers the opportunity to automate, improve productivity and streamline operations of an existing service business.
• Advisory Board: Tekcapital will be assisted by a team of experienced individuals including Dr. Russ Salahutdinov, a former director of AI at Apple Inc, Alexander Mordvintsev, a world renowned senior research scientist at Google LLC and inventor of Deep Dream, and Lord David Willetts, chairman of the UK Space Agency. "
This is the information i have on the AI company so far MrOzzy. So it seems that they have already identified the project.
How did you Interpret the AI investment topic?
Is it for something already ide tidied
Or is it a principle , and nothing definite yet
I think so too CM
Might be a bit more overhang to clear first if past experiences are anything to go by. Next week would be a good time to release some juciy news
Nice TopCatz.
Technical indicators are important especially when they support other factors.
I think what we have seen in the past is these dilutions have generally been a good opportunity to buy. It annoys people because it gives a big discount to preferred investors but in terms of the valuation it doesn't make a big difference. Should fill the gap back to 15p fairly easily.
Haha Mrozzy - Quite right. Been watching it forming for weeks but got properly confident end of last week.
Let's hope TEK proves TA actually works. No guarantees as always !
At last TC.
You've been desperate to share with us your TA analysis skills.
:-)
Also skirting along the bottom of it's rising channel and RSI coming down. Lot's of headroom for a run here. I expect any half decent news will be readily bought into.
What was the split down in valuation between the portfolio companies for Angel to come up with 74p fair value. That's quite a mark up after their early 20 something valuation (granted Microsalt has doubled since)
Currently share price is 40% of NAV this is a key indicator in my view.
50 day SMA crossed the 200 SMA today, forming a Golden Cross. A very decent indicator of an emerging uptrend.
Technically the 50 SMA should stay above the 200 SMA for 3 days but looking at the chart that seems a 'given' unless something freakish to the downside happens with the current SP
It's probably a Super Golden Cross which is pretty rare, (happens when the 50 day SMA has been trading under the 200 day SMA for 200 trading days (getting on for a calendar year). Maybe someone with some sophisticated charting software could confirm ? (I'm not going to work it out manually but I'm confident it is)
Not sure if this is TEK specific or if it's just systemic to an AIM market recovering ? ( think D Monies was watching that), and is happening elsewhere. As stocks start recovering you would expect to see it more often.
On indexes such as the nasdaq it's 100% reliable, going back a long way (decades) but we're talking a massive sample of stock there so not to be viewed in the same way on an individual stock.
Either way, it's a very nice indicator signalling an uptrend. Don't expect fireworks over night but interesting to see what happens over the next few weeks.
GLA - I'm sniffing a change of fortunes here
As i done a bit of research on that rns,and i think that the freefloat had dropped to 45%,which surely is a gòod thing if you intend to stay here for sometime.i must say i dont profess to being a shares whizzkid so my calculations are done by reading the share rost and adding the 7% from canada and jersey.hope im right.hold fòr gold

If I'm not mistaken, this patent helps secure the business now, as US patent was to expire in 2030
This massively adds value to the Microsalt business in my view
No expert on patents but they're certainly signally the intent for global domination (I'd imagine more to head off competitors undercutting the price) 15 years. That's decent.
