Like one of its devices, SPX really needed to have some steam released from its share price and earnings multiple. P/E of nearly 60 completely unsustainable, even though this has great earnings momentum and still solid long-term prospects. I'm just looking for a decent buy-in point..... hopefully coming soon!
Why is this board so quiet? This is an amazing company hence the way the price overall has gone up. It’s prospects remain as good and it must remain as sound an investment as one can get. Or am I over optimistic?
Blimey, surprised by the falling sp. Yep, everything looking scary at the moment I know. Good luck to everyone.......and me. LOL
Yan it is a buy even now. It has only 12% of its addressable market with huge barriers to entry.. I will be adding.
PS you are right about the price per share being less relevant but large priced shares do deter Pi's are it is harder to sell a portion of them. Now a seller has to take 160 320 480 etc with nothing in between.
Outstanding performance. I think one to enjoy for many years to come. Huge congrats to all.
we busy as hell
Why isn't this board buzzing with congratulations for holders? I appreciate nobody like to boast but....!
Anyway , congratulations to all investors. Unfortunately, I not one you. DOH ! LOL
Rise....and still I'm sitting on the sidelines?? Why?.!
Fk1....as you'll know, it's not the price of the individual share that counts....it's the percentage rise. Well done, and if only I'd....well, you know the rest, lol.
Yes Yam I was buying at £90 to £73 which is the most I have ever paid for an individual share. Paid off handsomely though as I am up £500. Been tempted to sell but as you say the tise is relentless. Very happy holder.
.... and it just carries on up. Not invested here much to my dismay. Kept meaning to at £7,8,9,10,11,12,13 ????. Nearest thing to a straight line for the last several years. Well done to all holders and investors.
Dividend this week
An article on the quality business of Spirax-Sarco, looking at its fundamentals, its valuation and its current price https://www.thetwentiestrader.com/post/spirax-sarco-a-quality-stock-but-is-the-price-too-high
Brilliant results! Nice divi hike of 7%. Only downside is I can't reinvest directly due the price of even 1 share. Going to buy again next week. As covid unwinds SPX will do even better!
A solid SP with a nice steady upwards drift. Whats not to like.
probably on the back of a no deal Brexit and a consequent weaker sterling.. Watching carefully but I sense this would be a realtive haven in a no deal scenario.
steam now after a being sold or walked down. £120 was a good exit point in hindsight but perhaps £115 might be achievable again.
as the SP reaches dizzy new heights. Glad now not to have sold at £105, £115 as I was sorely tempted. Seems like a relief rally to me in that it could be a lot worse in terms of its trading environment. Happy holder!
My glasses might be steamed up but I see an ATH here. Glad I stuck with SPX so far but wonder how far it can go from here. Very pleased holder!
sees SPX getting a little steamy in the next five weeks. Ex-div on Friday with payment on 6th November. Trading statement due in 5 weeks. I hope the economic slowdown hasn't impacted too much. Seems very strong for now and I wonder will the divi fall be absorbed. I might shed some before the T/S in case it falls short. Been a very good run up for me and I would buy back on any weakness anyway.
£112 is quite nice.
I am glad I didn't take profits here. I have captured a few divis too. ATH now but shows no sign of stopping. I wonder if a broker has upped the TP. Not that it matters too much as only one that I know of has called it correctly with a TP of £105 when it was £90. Quality share!
in the circumstances though I think the cautionary note about the hoped for V shaped recovery not likely will serve to knock the SP. Still a quality player and the 5% increase in the divi though the yield is very low is welcome in any share. Will pick up more on weakness.
How does this company have such a high valuation. It’s Indian factory closed. It’s uk factory temporary laying off employees. It’s a solid firm worth skyhigh prices? Where’s the profits going to come from?
What's all this then? I see the ask is 999-0p. Anyone who is cheeky about this share should get a clip round the ear.
