Just in case this was missed- http://www.spreadbetmagazine.com/blog/sprue-aegis-is-james-faulkners-small-cap-of-the-week.html
I purchased some of these a few weeks back and then, about a week ago, I actually had to buy a new smoke alarm. Went on to Amazon, went for the one which is about £7 with no particular branding. When it came I was pleasantly surprised to find that it a Sprue Aegis product. This can only be a good thing if Sprue products show up at the top of the search list when you type smoke alarm in - and today's trading update backs this up. Can only see this heading towards £3 now and an increased dividend.
getting to a level where I might be topping up
Of the £3 broker suggestion too!
good confirmatory RNS overall. Carry over in H2 then we'll be slightly ahead of analysts forecast on a topline basis
nice divi in today. looking forward to the next news from here
to a more reasonable valuation now
think that ended up on the iii board
Another write-up- http://www.ukgrowthstocks.com/sprue-aegis.html
EJ, no I'm not in, missed the boat here, funds just stretched too far. I should have moved earlier, but will now have to wait. It has had a very good couple of weeks hasn't it. No dramas, just steady blue days. Very small volumes. Not sure what to think about the price, some are saying a bit toppy, but its new to AIM isn't it, and still finding its feet, I'm sure many are just catching on. Not too many solid offers like this, so I'm not sure that it will fall back at the moment. I will keep my eye on it though. Good luck to everyone who has managed to get on board, looks a class act. Great shout EJL7.
Thanks for that good read. TUNG might be of interest and would appreciate comments on another BB if necessary to keep protocol.. Cheers

Sorry o/t- When u return, would like your input on SQS-how did you find them? Competitors? Anything else you can add-appreciated. Can respond on SQS board-thanks.
Maybe somethings going on that we're not aware of. Prospectus should contain all known information but quick developments after listing are not unheard of.
at anything above 250
Good point-once the bb takes notice-this could get a bit stretched. I'm in for long run but it would be a shame to miss a top-slice opportunity.
I can only assume being a very recent IPO that it is travelling under the radar of PI's. Very strong and consistent price moves after initial broker rating and target. BB is very quiet so makes a nice change from the herd mentality.
A bit belated but welcome to the board Trevally-looks like good timing so far. As you can see by the RNS-some options exercised. Looking thru the Admission Document, most of the outstanding options have an exercise price between 19 and 35p. So very deep in the money. I quoted the statement below from p. 95 of the Admission Doc. "An Option shall vest on a straight-line basis pro-rata over a three year period following the grant date (the ‘Vesting Period’). An Option may not normally be exercised on or before the first anniversary of the grant date but thereafter may be exercised to the extent it has vested. An Option may not in any event be exercised after the day immediately preceding the tenth anniversary of the date of grant." So there is a time element to exercise-my first impression was that maybe the jump in the share price convinced someone to exercise, but not necessarily so. Also on p. 80 of same doc.-interesting reading about directors' service agreements and bonus targets-quite incentivised. Student-if you're not in yet-be careful-it looks like there is a squeeze going on here. Not sure what to make of it. At 276p- sp is now on an 18 p/e this year-mmmm.
Thanks ELJ, I know SQS well and test some of my own products with them! Twitter is actually a pretty good place to get ideas, there are some great people and unlike the BB they are not focused on one share or (on many boards, so sorry everyone!) get shouted at for touted other shares. And of course unless you know about them, you're not checking their BB's. So use Twitter, new tool to me (less than 7 days), but like what I see so far. I'm on there as @PoeticalTrader and if you see who I'm connected to you'll have a start and probably recognise some from these boards. ATB, I'm away for a few days
Building on its momentum, a nice first day at the office.
Newly invested here so hello to all and similar investment objectives as others on this BB.
P.S. and the BB can be absolutely hilarious-great entertainment-note Jasondalus on TRP.
Poetical-I'm trying to do the same thing-build up a PF thru aggressive capital building-but my problem is-I'm cr-p at short term trading. I've always made my money through longer term ideas & being patient. So that's why I've been paying attention to you & a few others to get a better idea of short term opportunities. Most of my capital is invested in funds with heavy amount in cash-but AIM is a real hoot & a way to amass capital very quickly if one is careful. The AIM market is so inefficient but one can get burned very easily(as most pi's do). SPRP is one of my longer term holdings-have had stock since 2001-very conservative management, lots of room for expansion-steady eddy as they say. But think sp is getting ahead of itself-so take your time-my target is a 5-10 bagger over 5ish years. Think once they expand into States & more in Europe-along with helpful legislation-should make a big difference in sales penetration. As I've said before here-the products are good, I use them. Some other ideas that might be off your radar: GKO(alternative energy in India); SQS(world's largest supplier of independent software testing and quality management services-German); JLIF(infrastructure-hold for div. & solid growth-low risk): STJ(one of the best wealth managers around-I have funds with them so know them well). Will check out POG-thanks.
EJL: I have to say I'm the same, I've got about 8-9 stocks on the go which is unusual for me and only 2 are what I would term as long holds. I'm very short term and seem adverse to low risk, steady generators!! I've challenged myself to a period of aggressive capital building to build a whole new personal fund and I'm collecting companies like these to put funds into when the time is right. 36% growth in PF right now in last 6 months, but it's a house of cards!! This is a really solid company and I very much like the long holds disclosed which should help maintain the SP. I have the estimated eps at 15p up from 10.2p last year and 20p forecast for 2015. The gearing is fantastic. I can hear my business partner telling me they're not making their money work hard enough if they're not using any facilities for anything, but this is the way I like to run my own business albeit at FAR more modest levels. I put the last of my funds into POG today which Alexios gave me the heads up on. It's a little risky with their debt looking like it's currently un-serviceable, but a restructure simply has to happen with the fantastic assets they have and there's speculation about possibly even a privatisation on the cards. Currently on a low (I doubt very much it will drop more than 10% from current SP) of 61p and has fallen from the heady high of £14 or so from years gone buy. But it still has plenty of gold in 'dem 'der hills. And you're a trader. So I know you like gold! :) I will be keeping an eye out here. thanks
EJL, I'm not in yet. Risen nicely since your first nod, and I missed that due to funds being stretched every which way! Very appreciative of the heads up. I am now watching and waiting. As others have said, looks a very solid company. Thanks again.
