yes some nice buys
dividend should be around 6p per share with another one paid later in the year..so good to hold and must be looked at now as a possible take over target. sooner rather than later
The Board was pleased to declare a maiden interim dividend of 2p per share for the six months ended 30 June 2014 which was paid to shareholders in October 2014. The Board recommends the payment of a final dividend of 6.0 pence per share on 3 July 2015 to shareholders on the register on 19 June 2015, which if approved by shareholders at the AGM to be held on 3 June 2015, takes the full year 2014 dividend to 8.0 pence per share (2013: 6.0 pence per share), an increase of 33%. 2014 dividend cover has improved to 2.2x post-tax profit (2013: 1.8x post-tax profit) and the Board continues to pursue a progressive dividend policy.
Think dividend is payable around june.or july .so worth stocking up here at this level
does anyone know What is the time line for dividend
Product certification delays in Germany. Experience has proved that the delay usually resembles a piece of string. How long it is likely to be or if the product even gets certified leads me to walk away from this..
holding. for the dividend and price correction.
sure a claim would be valid against the battery supplier .insurance cover probably applies
You would hope that the supplier has a valid insurance policy in place - products liability insurance. This should cover the supplier against a claim from a customer such as Sprue.....based on the claims they have received or expect to receive.
showing to the close.
today.........seems well over done
at just shy of 124. Fingers crossed for a big bounce.
gla
should get some compensation from the battery supplier to offset.this news
Couldn't resist at this oversold price.
stolen more
About to tick up now is the moment to profit.
No debt.sitting on 25million cash. Market cap 55 mill Sales of 55 million profits 7.5 million Steal at these lows
I couldn't agree with you more. This where you make the real money in most instances. Sometimes companies make mistakes, it's how they address the errors that counts. I recall investing in Supergroup at £4 post such a mistake and in Petra at 58p back in Nov/Dec. I was very pleased with the outcome of both of those Investments. Be greedy when you smell the fear. Sure we could be wrong but nothing is without risk!
I didn't even know about this company until I saw it on the losers board. Having gone through a shed load of the previous RNS's though it looks very interesting. Key issues goign forward are:- a. the battery in certain smoke alarms - cash set aside to deal with this. b. overstocking in France - will be dealt with through the selling of stock over time. b. sales falling below par in Germany. I think its b and c that have caused today's drop, despite the company reaffirming that a dividend will be paid. If the dividend remains healthy there may be a sustained recovery as investors use it as an income and recovery play. The company certainly looks to be a better investment that many AIM companies with it being in profit and paying out divis - indeed the growth over the past few years has been quite incredible. Arguably though the company was overvalued until now (guidance of profit circa £12m meant the company was valued at in excess of 10X its profit). anyone else have thoughts or analysis?
I see this as a blip in a companies timeline. There is a robust plan in place to remedy the situation, the preventative action has been taken to prevent a re-occurrence. This will recover and continue on a successful path. Excellent time to pick a few shares up in my view. Don't be fearful.
Are you suggesting Sprue needs to be acquired or are you suggesting Jarden may like the idea of a bargain? Sprue are cash rich so I don't believe they need to be acquired. I think Jarden might take a look however given the price but who knows.
jarden corporation must be looking here now for a take over target.lets see how it develops
yep bouncing back
looks its bouncing back, let see where its get close. i guess it will be back to 140 at day close and 150 by tomorrow and it will stay around 150 till things get more clear.
