Does anyone Know what the company is actually doing at the moment the last update was 28 july 2022 so where are we now are we drilling or what ? they only news we had this year is the musical chairs being played by the board of directors. while we burn through our cash reserve.
pactrol, whilst all of us would welcome some news - provided it's good - it's not true to say the last update was 28 July last year. Have a look through the RNS section listed above.
Don't you just love people who exaggerate add... lolzzz good day so far up over 8 % in the right direction
addicknt well I looked and can find no other RNS on Business Activity other than the merger & fund raise. but that doesn't tell me what's happening out on site which is what I want to Know ?
Nothing at all Pactrol, as we are trying to find the highest bidder. No point in wasting any of the shareholders money is there ;))
If you're talking about the nitty-gritty I'd agree with you. For example, we don't know how many people we still employ and how those who remain are spending their days...other than re-locating a village. But we have had plenty of general descriptions and bigger picture stuff. But as Novice suggests, we've scaled back our activities quite considerably.
My own feeling is that we won't see much until the SR concludes.
Accuses someone of exaggerating then says we're up over 8% today when it's more like 5.5%.
Bobby boy needs to get that bat swinging and get a deal done soon.
Blind freddy could see it was a tier 1 but I don't think he has a spare couple of Billion hanging around.
Novicehunter......well i don't know about that are we still paying 800 employees to do nothing then ?
Novicehunter....../besides I thought the idea was to prove up the value of some of the other sites thus increase the value. just sitting around hoping someone will make an offer seems like their throwing the towel in.
Pactrol, You are correct.
Solg reported on the 25th oct 22
SolGold employs a staff of approximately 800 employees of whom 99% are Ecuadorian. This is expected to grow as the operations expand at Cascabel, and in Ecuador generally.
pactrol, i would say that the dd that any group would be undertaking would also include us allowing sufficient time for any interested groups to develop their own DFS inhouse... hence the SR and lag in updates... hence it would be attractive to get a deal done before further updates and advancement is made...
DM it's so refreshing to have you on this board poking holes in what most people here say every day trying to ramp it up with their wild fantasies.
Agreed slug...smoke and mirrors...
DieSlak,correct up for sale
Anon, live the dream don't let little things like the odd ramp get you down
Up for sale but no buyer. Lets be honest , it's been up for sale forever if the right offer came in , it never did. Why should it now?
Yeah we all love a good ramp but not ramping with made up stories, stick to facts then okay fair enough, that's why I like it when DM pulls people up on things.
cov, why do you think Jiangzi invested recently? Did they sit around a table and say: " tell you what, we don't really like Cascabel, but why don't we chuck $36m at it just for a laugh?" Why did both BHP and NCM stand their corner in previous fund raises when they could easily have walked away? Why have they spent time agitating if they were no longer interested? Why does virtually every analyst and market commentator say it will be taken over? Why is Sangha so confident he can sell it?
There will be a myriad of reasons it hasn't already been sold - I suspect one of them may be that NM rebuffed previous informal approaches - but because something hasn't already happened does not mean it won't in the future.
Cov, I share your frustration, but as yet we have no proof that we're unable to sell Cascabel. I've said it plenty of times, but we're in a formal process which has not yet reached any conclusions and as it stands, we have no way of knowing how this is going to turn out. Many of us on here spent ages arguing for an SR and eventually the company delivered one; all we can do now is sit back and wait for the outcome and I remain confident the overriding and publicly stated intention of delivering shareholder value will be achieved.
Yes well I think we all got lulled into thinking BHP would buy it. but its clear their interests lie elsewhere possible untl someone else makes an offer . most likely the Chinese as they are quietly cornering the market on rare earth & raw materials only their economy has not been faring so well of late hence they are holding back, as for the electric car caper its an ill conceived idea we dont have the infrastructure to cater for it. the insurance company's are having to write off nearly new cars due to battery damage as its not economical to repair them. and up go the insurance premiums.

There is no Strategic Review, just like there was never any intent to go to production. Better to read between the lines than take the RNS's or company blurb too literally.
It's up for sale, simple.
Just wish they'd get on with it!!!!
