Hargreaves Lansdowne asset management: 18%
Can someone please explain this one above? I use HL however I wouldn't say the 'manage' my account or do I fall into the 18% as I trade shares using HL platform. Sorry if this is a daft question.
Currently available information lists the following, as regards Synairgen shares owned by, or deposited with institutions. HL’s “stake” is most probably the accumulation of shares owned by their clients.
The following was extracted from a recent article in Yahoo finance:
Hargreaves Lansdowne asset management: 18%
Polygon Global Partners LLP: 16%
Polar Capital Holdings plc: 8.8%
The article also states that 52% of the shares are owned (more likely owned or held) by the top five shareholders.
This suggests that numbers four and five in the top five own 9.2% of the shares between them. Number 5 must own at least 4.3% of the shares if both companies remain with less than the 5% holding for which they would need to declare their interest.
If we believe the veracity of this low level article, it could well be that one or both of these two companies is/are adding to their stake. It is equally possible that a sixth company with a growing stake is increasing its holding at this late stage, when investors are becoming more optimistic (or nervous in some cases) by the day.
The as yet unidentifiable recent significant buyer remains a mystery for the time being. As an investor, the fact that some entity is adding to its stakes adds to my confidence that a successful clinical trials outcome is on the horizon
Glad you seen the funny side SD lol .All the very best .
Tattyhead2 that made me chuckle! :)
But seriously not for a long time, my psychiatrist told me they are not real, which was strange as one was standing next to him when he said it.....;)

Whoever it is, they're working with the same buying pattern as yesterday.
@ndn
sorry bro, my lips are sealed.
Was it my £7900 top up this morning around 8.03?
:)
City
I certainly hope you are finally correct!
nothing like that at all,
im well aware of the new buyer and where they are based.
i would calm down on expecting an RNS from them this week though.
You can all ridicule but its happening and is real.
If they are brand new, that would be the required amounts
It is always possible they are not brand new, but have started buying again. In which case, who knows what they need?
@beforegolf
thank you
so CityTT reckons this new firm will hoover up 6mil-10mil shares
Lust more speculative rubbish from the well known poster. Best to ignore this one IMO.
If UK based - 3%
If non-UK -5%
what percentage will they need to RNS?
Its good to see our new buyer hoovering up today. Exciting times ahead when they finally release the RNS which I still expect to see this week. Anyone standing on the sidelines will be left behind as the SP will jump on this news. Enjoy the ride.
