What was wrong with the presentation? You seem to suggest it was responsible for the price drop. Or is it just that the people realised the money wouldn't start to roll in within days?
The test will be used by many every day as it only validates you for 24 hours. If you're not leaving your house then you wouldn't bother, but if you're going to any public destination then you want to ensure you're not breathing out Covid. The costs being estimated for the chips are negligible compared to the loss of economy. Many venues/companies would happily provide them if it meant they were open to the public again..that includes venues/transportation etc
Let's see what GB has planned for the share price, was 70s until the presentation. Just got a decent entry price, let's see if GB has it in him to get this over the 40s pre Christmas.
It's a swab test, not Skin's
Hmm it did mention brushing our teeth, something which GB said.
Sounds almost the exact words that GB used in his interview over on Proactive investors after the presentation.
Sure, but they are not talking about a SKIN product, unless I need to eat my hat.
From the Daily Mail 8 hours ago. I might be being optimistic, but it does ring a bell :-
Test yourself EVERY morning
We will all soon be able to test ourselves for Covid-19 when we brush our teeth in the morning, a health minister has predicted.
Lord Bethell said the Government was exploring technology which will allow people to conduct a test every day.
This will mean they can safely stop social distancing without fear of putting others at risk, allowing them to travel on public transport, socialise and return to work.
He also courted controversy by claiming Britain will look back at its Covid-19 response ‘like the Olympics’ and be ‘extremely proud’.
Lord Bethell added: ‘There have been some outstanding pieces of delivery that have not been fully appreciated. When it’s all over and we look back and reflect, we will actually be extremely proud of ourselves.’

What we expect and what we hope for maybe not the same. ..
Quick search suggests Dell employee count at 165 thousand. Be nice if they saw the value of the product and lead the way in adopting. Should certainly help with winning business elsewhere if that was to happen.
Our tech is unique in the fact you have to regularly test to carry on with your life. This ensures prompt detection of infection. Many companies are aiming to produce breathalysers, that if you pass, allows entry into their country. What use is that? You get tested at the airport, pass and are granted access, you then catch it on day one of your visit, spread it for 2 weeks then test negative on your return journey.
Cinder15 , I would and I'm sure the ones whom want to work and keep roof over our heads , would be willing to pay on a daily basis, its the world we live in at moment...
Fair points. I hope I am proved wrong and this is a success.
Yep, you would take a breath test only on the days you need to. That might be everyday for some (for example office workers commuting into major cities) but not all. Purchasing the breathalyser and microchips would just be another cost of doing business or going to work (like buying a train ticket, paying for parking etc.). I would like to think that many firms would subsidise the cost for their employees. But like GJB said, the breathalyser is a creative solution that would allow us to open the economy in a much safer way than we can at the moment.
As 13thmonkey said, any rapid test not administered by a professional is open to fraud. Avacta's LFT is very likely to face the same risk but nobody seems concerned over there. But testing that requires a professional (such as PCR) is not practical for the type of mass testing regime that is required. Therefore there will always be a risk of fraud in mass testing, but it's a risk worth taking (what's the alternative?) and society should do everything it can to stigmatise cheating the test in much the same way it does to those who drink and drive. Some people are just selfish, it will happen. But I believe the vast majority would use the test as intended and that would go a long way to achieving the aim of bringing the R value down below 1.
If I have to go to work on the train (to London) then a pass would have me able to access the train, the tube, shops, the office and the return trip maybe a restaurant in the evening. So not just a venue, but normal life. Now I wouldn't travel every day, so I'd only take a test when I travel and try and pack activities in on those days.
Are you suggesting people will pay to test every 24 hours. My understanding is that this proposed Breathalyser is for venues etc., not general testing. Cannot see how this will impact the R number. Sorry, I am an enthusiastic investor in SKIN but I see this development as a false avenue.
Cinders, any test, aside from one done directly in front of someone and valid for that 'viewing' only is open to fraud. However the game here to get the R number substantially below 1, not 0.8-0.9 but in the 0.1-0.3 range. There will be people who cheat, providing that number is small (<10% perhaps) it really doesn't matter. There will also be people who show negative, but have only just been infected and by the end of the 24hr period they will be starting to become infectious. The goal is not 100% containment, just sufficient containment to dramatically reduce spread.
Agree. The current version will be open abuse. How will you possibly know who cheated once a crowd are in a venue.

There has been a lot of discussion and speculation about the nature of Dell's involvement with Integumen and Modern Water but isn't it as simple as this Reuters article states?
”U.S. group Dell Technologies has also joined to provide data services, Integumen said at its annual meeting on Thursday."
What else do we expect from Dell here?
