I wonder when the company will actually confirm if anything is happening in the near future to at least give us all some bit of hope and hopefully spread some confidence amongst us...
Judy, our good friend Eck, who, like myself, is steeped in the Waters of Cynicism, will no doubt agree that it's not a matter of If the RNS announcing a delay in production until 30th September is issued, but When. Ne'er mind, this time next decade we'll all be millionaires!
OH DEAR......That doesnt sound too good........ I wonder if it will ever happen....!
Good points and I hope we get clarification soon.
No doubt imo that it will happen but simply a case of quando quando quando (as they are also probably singing in Italy right now).
Twitter also provided this nugget: "The gold-bearing vein extends for over 100m below the adit level."
The future is bright. If the timetable is held back by another few weeks, that is not a big problem. The sp Imo should be charging ahead by now, very disappointing.I am getting worried about getting stuck here in Benidorm. There are worse places to be stranded but I wait with baited breath
Cheers Glen, all is not good here. There are loudspeaker Vans going around telling everyone to stay indoors. So we are virtually confined to the hotel. The pubs and restaurants are closed and the whole place is deserted.1 week left and no way to escape. Its like being in a Mad Max movie
Lock-down in Beni? Could be worse. Us over 70's now for lock-down in Blighty! If you can't get back, at least you'll soon celebrate your birthday in the sun! Now out in the garden............were's me warm jumper?
Take care, R.
Hi RH, lockdown here is not any fun Told we are getting turfed out hotel on Wednesday with nowhere to go.So much for Spanish friendliness
Hello R, sorry you are going to be locked down. Ludicrous in my opinion to be arbitrarily locked down because of age. Whatever happened to '70 is the new 50'? At least here in Scotland (so far) the Mighty Nicola has held off from having army snipers in the bushes, ready to shoot down any 70-year old who's popped out to the car to retrieve their spare glasses. All the best, y
Hi RM.
North Grimston Station was not in the North York Moors, but in the East Riding Wolds on the Malton to Driffield branch closed in 1950.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Grimston_railway_station
A grim fate, but it's not grim up North, just under-funded compared to the South for decades. Build another Hadrian's Wall from the Mersey to the Humber and declare UDI!!!
The North York Moors Railway, definitely in the North York Moors and going strong as the country's longest steam heritage railway from Whitby to Pickering.

A ride recommended!
Choo, choo, R.
Hi Yayay.
Will the next batch of Cononish gold be shipped by canal to the crown-maker??? Hail Queen Nicola!
No need of snipers in the bushes here..............I have 3 grown-up daughters in medical and care professions regularly checking that creaking dad and chronic asthmatic mum are safely locked in!!!
Regards, R.
Hi Baz.
Sounds scary, but this could be your chance to be a 'beach bum'! Sleep on the beach under the stars, buy a metal detector and dredge up valuables lost in the sand by tourists to pay for beer! Try and get back before Queen Nicola shuts the door!
ATB, R.
Evening,
Not sounding too clever out there Baz, hope it works out well.
Regards all.
Hi RM.
Stella Rose, paid for by shareholders and guided by rockheads is still burrowing through Redcar Mudstone under Cleveland, but any other rock-breaking awaiting AAL to open it's purse now that it has gobbled up SXX cheaply!
SGZ the only UK physical resource project on the go! All others struggling or stopped.
NYMR still going too.

Hi Glen.
Thanks for link to interesting video.
Best wishes to all here, R.
RM not that it’s anything to do with the business of Scotgold, are you seriously saying that the current pandemic is a failed biological warfare project? And not just the result of very unhygienic market practices that enabled the virus to cross species from a bat or a pangolin or whatever? And of course the Americans never walked on the moon, the CIA brought down the twin towers etc etc. Bit
Having said that I’ve just noticed the link with Scotgold.....unhygienic market practices in both AIM and the Wuhan meat market?
This clip looks like it couldn't be further from fake, false or fantasy though.

and he insured the buildings for huge sums of money in the previous months. Lucky guy.
No shooting the messenger mind.
Desist from what?
I believe what he says in the video about deciding to pull it. You are equally free to choose to either believe or disbelieve him.
Yes, it does rather open the door to more questions - I didn't go there but you appear to have.
Anyway, hopefully the virus is staying well away from the mine(s).
RM I’m not completely clear as to why you’re so excited by my earlier comments. My point was that you clearly stated that the current virus is a result of biological warfare tests. Assuming you to be a conspiracy theorist, I assumed you also believed that the moon landings and twin towers were fake; clearly that’s not the case and I apologise for my incorrect assumption.
My position is that I live in Argyll, have been to 2 mine visits, and I really want the development to get up and running. This is for my own long standing investment but also the income this will bring to the local community. So, I don’t know who Shylock is and have no contact with him /her. It’s a pattern on this board that infrequent or new posters are assumed to be, or have links with, earlier rogue posters.
Hi Secretspud,
As you have been to visit the mine have you witnessed any movement as to how things are progressing? Like you I think everyone wants the mine to get up and running I dont know when the last time you were there but any update would be appreciated!
As for some posts on here I wish they would stick to talking about the mine and not the silly nonsense that is posted on here at times.
Just a thought!!
Hi Judy it’s probably over 18 months since I went to the mine so I can’t comment on recent progress. There are a couple of regular posters who have been more recently who may be able to help and also it would be good to get an announcement as to how things are going.
I should have added that, having met the CEO and other senior people, I am absolutely convinced about their ability to get this project completed, and to develop a profitable company, even if there’s a slight delay
Hi Spud.
Tis little wonder that some former posters have left a taste of suspicion on this board, but that is thankfully in the past.
Indeed, an update on progress would be welcome to add to the last such tweet from SG on 12/02. There must be something happening as they are still recruiting for a geologist for the summer exploration season. I'd love to go, but eyesight not up to driving any longer and arthritis precludes climbing, but anything is better than social isolation at home!!!

Hi Judy.
Over 2 years since I managed my last mine visit and looking forward to another..............sometime!!! Lack of news leads to inventive, wayward and amusing posting, not to mention the SP drifting down a canal!
Regards, R.
Hi Secretspud/Judyparker. It certainly would be good to an update. In normal times we'd be getting one in mid-late March, but these are very much not normal times.
Scotgold *should* be a modest oasis of rare good news amidst what is going to be a global economic disaster. The gold price is getting booted downwards because market participants continue to sell it for much-needed liquidity (though the sterling price is resilient thanks to the various category errors our government continues to make).
Once those short-term effects are out of the way the medium-longer term outlook for gold should be explosively positive. The world is about to embark on a gigantic devaluation of fiat currency through 'people's QE' in various guises, along with zero/negative rates. Helicopter money is imminent.
I have been resistant to the more wildly positive predictions for the gold price in the past, but under those circumstances they start to look a lot more plausible. I don't think USD2,000/oz is unrealistic for 2020.
Scotgold just needs to start producing the stuff! The mining operations shouldn't be excessively exposed to the effects of the disease itself, though anyone who hasn't taken care of their lungs over the course of their mining career might be concerned (so probably most of them).
Hold on. I'd be buying like crazy at 50p if I had any cash.
