Not yet . I only have one question for them! When is THE DEAL!
If Shareholders have any questions, they are invited to submit them by email to
info@sterlingenergyuk.com by 11.00 a.m. on 28 April 2021 quoting their unique shareholder reference
number/CREST ID and the Board will answer relevant questions via email.
Hi guys. Morgan Stanley 9m shares? Athos Capital surely?
Yes, definitely very interesting developments here. I'm currently sitting on the sidelines; will probably wait to see what deal transpires first (and when). Agreed, Hadron could well be holding the price back for now - will need to see if they continue to sell before dipping my toe in here. Perhaps I'm too cautious and will miss the boat. Who knows.
GLA
Thanks, SR123 - so it's back to Rift's 'so 15% in 2 months is a return they'd probably like to top slice or fully slice, if they're not around for the big production deal' - in other words, they are perhaps closing their investment here?
I make that about £450,000 reduction in holding.
As a major shareholder in both SEY and VOG, Hadron Capital recently lent VOG £1.25m, in exchange for 6p warrants (they couldn't buy in the market without pushing the VOG share price sky-high). Now cutting holdings elsewhere in order to pay out loan monies?
Hadron would have taken some of Kroupeev's shares at 15p so 15% in 2 months is a return they'd probably like to top slice or fully slice, if they're not around for the big production deal
It was Hadron who were selling in the 17's
No big deal just 1%

On HL can buy up to 150k of shares at 17.77p. Can buy more but the price rises to over 18p. So not sure how many you want and at what price?
I've tried decent order points but the bots keep moving the bid price :-(

As the business looks to move forward with new management and a refreshed strategy built around
achieving scale through the acquisition of production assets and discovered resources resulting from
the accelerating energy transition in West Africa, where the company has extensive operational
experience. The Board believes that changing Sterling Energy’s name will allow it to differentiate its
proposition and establish a new identity that is both appropriate of its business model, whilst being
relevant to its area of focus.
On the above basis, the Board is proposing to change the name of the Company to: Afentra plc: ‘Af-entra’ – African Energy Transition.
The formal relaunch of the Company is expected to occur on or around
4 May
Yes Maverick and McDade IS interested in oil. Ian Cloke posted on linkedin that they wanted to be the partner of choice for the major oil companies and governments in West Africa where Major oil companies are offloading their assets in the Energy Transition
Hence the name AFENTRA (African Energy Transiation)
McDade MUST know what assets he likes from his time in Tullow who would have partnered with Majors a lot in West Africa
Andrew Austion of Kistos has already said that he isnt interested in Oil, only Gas and New Energy, so i doubt that there would be any merger with SEY & KIST
At this rate it could buy UOG at MCAP of £30m odd and join the ex tullow board up back up for a re run!!!

MMs shaking the tree today before the mark the price up again
Yes normally Mid April for results
Seems kind of lazy to cut and paste from a Kistos document!
Also, the new name is a bit too close to Afren for my liking.....
Still, am watching this story with interest, with a view to jumping on board at some point, possibly, as long as they don't take on Osman Shahenshah
Annual results usually around middle of april so due any day anyone enlighten me?
Sterling have somehow used the Kistos Electronic word document for the articles as when you download the document you get Kistos Plc sprawled on the name of the doc !
Is there a merger ? I would prefer not :
But : Although Kistos plc have announced a €220m takeover of Tulip , Andrew Austin is still only Non Executive Chairman . Might he install Paul McDade as the overall Group CEO after combining the West African focussed team with the North Sea team ?
Think I would prefer it to be a coincidence and McDade with full control over his own destiny to multibag this cash shell

'screening a pipeline of opportunities resulting from the accelerating Energy Transition'
This suggests to me unloved oil as a major gets out. Although it could mean being part of that transition i.e gas.
You pays your money...
Sterling Energy is presently undertaking a strategic evolution and will provide a detailed update of its growth strategy and market drivers in the coming weeks.
This strategy will focus on achieving scale and generating shareholder returns through the acquisition of production and proven reserves.
The Company is presently screening a pipeline of opportunities resulting from the accelerating Energy Transition and will be focussing primarily on Sub-Saharan Africa given the team's strong network and operating experience across the continent.
