LAST ANNUAL RESULTS RELEASED 25 MARCH 2019 - READING THIS , "if market conditions worsen we will preserve" his thinking on the industry is the wrong way around, No Easy. He should be doing deals at these prices, not conserving cash
therefore the time is coming we are going to have to set up an action group to call an EGM and rope in Denis o Brien and Credit Suisse, and possibly Zion or Mistyvale
There might be tensions amongst russian controllers seeing as a cash return in this market could be lucrative
The outlook for 2019 is exciting. Post
Chinguetti the Company is pursuing
opportunities in our focus areas,
utilising our technical expertise.
Should market conditions worsen,
we will preserve our capabilities,
strengths and cash position to
weather any storm.
'With Brent below $30 cash is king so even the most incompetent COE could find a deal with fantastic value in this current climate.'
Forget cash return that's not going to happen because of the above. They will either make an acquisition(s) now or keep doing what they are doing now which is simply using the money to cover general expenditure (their own wages). If they have nothing in the next 6 months that will give us a good idea what they are up to (piggy bank).
RETURN the CASH !!! and if they like they can do a deal with their dividend they get ... if you are positive in Oil there are enough bargains in major companies in the market to buy instead of doing the risky XXX to start a new adventure here ...
NO ASSETS (NOT EVEN COUNTING SOMALILAND AS ITS ZERO COST EXPLORATION BLOCK AND CARRIED, AND EVEN IF IT WASNT CARRIED, WOULD BE MINIMAL COST)
. $45MILLION IN CASH
18P CASH
AGREE ENTIRELY AJ
WE WILL SOON HAVE TO SET UP A WEBSITE AND SEEK PROXIES FROM ALL AND MR O BRIEN AND CREDIT SUISSE
WHO WOULDNT WANT A RETURN OF CASH OF 17-18P?
For years now you have held onto shareholders cash and have done jack sh*t with it. The BOD's defining silence has slowly been eroding confidence and with it the SP. None of us hear have endless amounts of patients or time. With Brent below $30 cash is king so even the most incompetent COE could find a deal with fantastic value in this current climate. If SEY board can't or for some other reason are unwilling to make a move they simply MUST return shareholders cash!!!
A CASH RETURN IS NOW THE ONLY THING THAT WILL WORK. STERLING ENERGY HAS ABOUT $45 MILLION IN CASH, AND AT usd / gbp OF 1.15 IS ABOUT 18 P CASH VALUE
MR KROUPEEV ARE YOU LISTENING????
RETURN THE FFING CASH
SHARE PRICE HERE TO GO BACK TO CASH VALUE IS A RETURN OF ABOUT 139%!!!
Yes time to pay out. Kroupeev should realise no matter what OIL Stock he chooses, its hard work.
Just return 17Pence cash!
CRAZY
I think Jose you are right, time to return the cash!!!!
why should it go down? It should go up instead - cash is worth way more in this crisis and it is still 50% below cash!!
Its TIME TO PAY THE CASH OUT to us shareholders!!!
its days like this you wanna be in Sterling Energy. whats cash? 40-45 million $ . they can go shopping soon i think
Weird thing is that his Chairman updates in the annual report always refer to oil price being too low.
When in fact isn't it using his $44 million at LOW oil prices, getting bargain basement deals, the proper way to use it?
Will Sterling Return 16p cash to holders?
Kroupeev might change his tune.
Cash value 16p
Share price 8.4p
No debt
Carried Somaliland Exploration asset with no near term major commitments
WILL THEY USE MASSIVE CASH PILE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE???
lets hope they are not that stupid / or not up to date that the time for OIL and GAS is out! especially in gangster countries... maybe when we are back at 10 US or 20 US ... but not here
The current Oil Price Decline and Share Price Decline in a lot of producers could play very nicley into Mr Kroupeev's hands with $44 million in cash! Cash value here about 16 pence
Sure, but with him owning 29% (Waterford) and the other russian firm, what 14%? who is going to out-vote them on anything?
We have to wait
yea - the valuation here is giving the impression that this guy is not willing to work for all shareholders and more interested in moving the rest of the money into his own pockets...
Yes Jose. Cash value at 16 pencce at least. But suspect Mikail Kroupeev has other things like the Gulfsands re-emergence for example , or something else like that, up his sleeve
its time that they sell Odewayne and pay back CASH to their shareholders! Not able to do a value creating deal since 2017 and the capital reduction ...
"The nominal value of each of the ordinary shares in the capital of Sterling (the "Ordinary Shares") has been
reduced from 40 pence to 10 pence, the amount standing to the credit of the Company’s share premium
account has been cancelled and the Reduction of Capital has created distributable reserves of
approximately US$36.8 million for Sterling."
I've started building a position
.... new all time lows and still NO insider buying even at these levels
Wasnt to Mr Kroupeev's liking or Mr Kroupeev to Stifel?

who
Yesterday Eskil quit Wentworth after 1.5 years as CEO.
Much to my surprise and without giving notice.
What did he do for Sterling?
very boring isnt it Noeasy. Cash value around 16 pence.
Watching how things pan out in Syria. Looks like a softening of sanctions on the way. (For Gulfsands to get their field back to RTO in here)
