Selling in VOG
Surprise if its a target
VOG ?? you must hold VOG to be hoping that :-)
The commercial side of VOG gas is a weakness. I like their business and what they have achieved but its not an M&A target.
Yes Happy Sparrow, YF Finance are ultimately owned by Meridian Capital. YF begin buying last April 2020. They own 5%. Wonder why they cannot buy more. Im guessing with Wilson just put on the Board , they are "inside" now.
Exciting times. did you see Ian Cloke's Linkedin update ?

Seriously bullish.
I would prefere a straight up acquisition of a production asset fro a major but lets see
Gavin Wilson (your new NED) has held the position of Investment Director at Meridian Capital Limited, a Hong Kong based international investment firm, for over a decade, managing an Oil & Gas portfolio focused on world-class assets in emerging markets.
YF Finance (Yevgeniy Feld) is owned by Meridian Capital.
Meridian Capital is secretly owned by Sauat Mynbayev:
https://www.occrp.org/en/paradisepapers/kazakhstans-secret-billionaires
YF Finance own about 24% of VOG.
Is VOG (and perhaps Blvn/ Etinde) the target - established production and infrastructure in West Africa, strong exploration potential?

Bullish
Have just put £5k in, and happy to wait to see how this unfolds... investing on the pedigree of the new BOD. Hoping for £1 within the next 12 months with any luck. GLA

Delighted to announce that Paul McDade and myself have joined the Board of Sterling Energy as CEO and COO as well as investors. Really looking forward to working with the team to build a new West Africa focused operated production company that will be a trusted partner of governments and a preferred counterparty of majors as they rationalise their mature assets in their portfolios. A major transition is underway and asset lives can be extended delivering significant additional value for host countries in a sustainable and operationally sound manner alongside improving the carbon footprint whilst making a difference.
Thanks to all the people, across the globe, who have contributed so freely of your time to the thought space, encouragement and funding discussions over the last year. You all played a part in this. Haven't been this excited since starting at Tullow back in November 2005! You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step as Martin Luther King said. We've taken a step but are at the end of the beginning. Now to get to work.
At any time. McDade has had a year to think about it. Suspect he knew which deal he wanted when he approached to buy Kroupeev out
Great opportunity for McDade to stike a deal somewhere now as oil prices retreat just gives a little more power to buyer
Assuming capital of £1,500 with HL there is a transaction (in/out) fee of £23.90 bring the principal amount down to £1476.10 their bid is 0.178 = 8,292.7 shares their ask = 0.173 so if sold immediately would be a sale of £1,434.60
with T212 on capital of £1,500 their bid is 0.1828 = 8,205.7 shares, their ask is 0.1702 so if sold immediately would be a sale of £1,396.60 .
A difference of £38.03 or 2.54%.
HL lags the real-time price. T212 doesn`t. As I was writing this ,T212 bid price went from 18.08p to 18.28p with HL still at 17.8p
S
In other words, more than £1,550 to spend?
Go to HL.
If less, go to T212.
(At current prices.)
S
So atow the difference in price is 0.28p with HL bid at 17.8p and T212 at 18.08p so that means a 8,534 share buy makes no difference. More than this use HL. Less than this use T212.
(Does not include stamp if applicable. Assumes a non-frequent trader with HL so max fees of £23.90 - £11.95 entry/ £11.95 exit applies)

Hello people,
Thanks to SR123 for making me aware of this company and new directors - I will be buying.
An Bulletin Board participants. The last 3 years of Chat history here probably only takes up 1 or two pages lol so not hard to catch up as the party is only getting started
Production deal , what size it will be and will they use leverage, will it be an acquisition of a company or a farm into an asset or a straight production purchase - who knows, but very exciting
Me too...138,839 @ 18.29p GLA!
I took a position here today. All looking positive and just feels like the right time to get involved.
Mr McDade owns 2,267,000 ordinary shares in the Company.
Mr. Cloke owns 1,733,000 ordinary shares in the Company.

Got to be soon when McDade and Cloke will have formally passed major shareholder shareholder opinions and NOMAD and Due diligence approved.
Another few pence when it happens. Then Director purchases to watch out for. Then the deal, which I'm sure they've been looking for a while
price moving once MMs had their fill
Nice to See Doc Holiday holding Sterling Energy
https://twitter.com/DDS_DocHoliday/status/1370308434629902340
But definitely not another company - this will be a clean leveraged asset transaction totalling, using leverage , $100 million
Happy sparrow definitely seems to be a deal on the horizon, McDade had a full year to cook one up and seems to have convinced Kroupeev to sell around November when Tony Hawkins was appointed interim CEO
It should be noted that Hadron Capital own 10.7% of VOG - and YF Finance own 23.71% of VOG.
I've long thought VOG is SEY's target.
Good to see a prompt TR1 release. Added a few.
