But obviously like many on here I want Petronas south sudan deal to succeed and the share price to fully appreciate the deal on re-listing if it does this i couldn't care less if I don't get to top up as i will be happy with this outcome and we can move on to other deals which will continue to grow our sp.
Rocky to answer your post the other day where you talk about a low entry and high entry points. I would say if we are the successfully return to market with the south sudan deal intact my low entry point will be 35-40p if i can still buy and high entry point will be 45- 50p. I have sold other positions just in case if i get another top up opportunity in that range i will be willing to buy more, as I do believe whether it's this deal or another deal savannah energy will strike it with one as a minimum....... I would assume that AK would have not rest on his laurels and put all eggs in just Petronas south sudan he would have sounded other acquisitions during the suspension period to execute immediately if the Petronas South Sudan deal was not come to fruition......................................... Perhaps that is why he mentioned one other deal in the last update to almost let the market know this fact.
Rocky - Haha more like rumblings in my dreams lol or voices in my head………………………………. …… or the crystal ball vodoo magic / mystic Meg. The 7 am couldn’t come any quicker for at least the next 2 weeks, and if we don’t get pre notice and just get the AD document as you say Rocky I for one ain’t complaining especially if it comes in short order I.e within the next 2 weeks.
You must have one of a hell of a contact base. Come on give us a few clues where you get info from.
I don’t think we will get notice of the AD being posted at some date in the future. I think and hope we hat one day soon we will just wake up to the news.
Was hearing that we have been granted re-admission approval back end of last week and the London Stock Exchange had approved our admission document, hopefully clearing our way to re-admission shortly lets hope we get some form of update tomorrow if true..............
Let’s hope Strand Hanson sign off on the admission document this weekend and ready to publish shortly…….. …zzzz
Agreed personally would like to avoid an equity raise myself as well…………. Would be great if Savannah did stick to what they mentioned at suspension which was it would be funded from existing cash and debt but that was probably based on having access to chad DOBA revenues let’s hope closing price of acquisition is favourable enough to avoid a raise………………
I’d personally be extremely disappointed if we raised at anything below the suspension price. To be honest I was not impressed at issuing millions of shares at 19p last time, but I do understand it. I hope to see no equity issued but if we do I sincerely hope that it’s a smallish number and at something higher than 26p. You never know, certain people, institutions / BOD members may be keen on a few but this has to stop at some point.
I guess equity will be raised probably at the suspended price of 26p similar to how we raised equity for the chad acquisition at suspension price of 19p..................
Also considering that they issued shares to the chairman at the suspended price as well i am guessing that is the benchmark price if equity is needed
My hope is that obviously we avoid an equity raise as that will give us the maximum value to plus hoping that the economic effective date makes the closing price favourable enough to avoid an equity raise ?
Question for folks on here, I know when Savannah announced the deal that it would be funded from cash resources and debt which would be ideal..... ...... If Savannah did raise through equity how much does people think they will need and what price do folks think it will be raised at, i.e it would only be nice if the equity was raised at a premium, however my personal preference would still be not to raise equity for this particular acquisition and allow us to fully settle at a higher SP and than if we need equity use it for the following acquisition at a much higher price
One would hope that there is an update at some point next week to either confirm that we are on for 28th July or to seek an extension at the very least...................... Must say as much we all want news on south sudan and preferably a chad update. I am surprised we haven't managed to get plenty of new accugas contracts announced yet perhaps we have and it's the sequence of news that the company wants to release but at least it would keep us all appraised on our existing assets until they have significant news to release also a detailed plan on niger wouldn't go a miss too....
On a side note i must say I am truly impressed with how tight lipped this potential south sudan acquisition has been there hasn't been a single news outlet that has been able to provide a comment or current stance and approval status on deal, considering the world we live in today with thousands or news outlets and social media with everyone having access to phones etc etc.......... and someone always wanting to be the first to report news...... They have done a pretty good job of ensuring there are no leaks at all on this deal which is much different to how the chad deal played out, not even africa intelligence who are normally good at reporting deal status progress and updates have commented on the south sudan deal which probably goes to show how secretly this deal is being worked on.................
Standard filing today by savannah energy plc on companies house looks like the company are working overtime Saturdays as well. ……

Cheers buddy - let’s keep our fingers crossed we have all waited long enough and frankly we all deserve a positive outcome.
PS - on a side note I apologise if I sound like a novice at times but it’s good to know that there are people on this board that always have an answer to my umpteen questions. Yes we are all here to make money but I have always seen this board as a prime example of sharing constructive knowledge amongst each other and growing my own understanding of how things operate and work. It’s good that to you all exist to provide such clarity and knowledge which I for one really appreciate.
When speaking to them yesterday they said it was just there way of managing risk and exposure.
I like you and everyone on here hope suspension is lifted with a positive outcome asap. Monday would be nice !!
Longshorttrade - thanks for confirming I was hoping more in vein I suppose but found the timing odd. A question for you I don’t believe they did last time we were suspended so would you happen to know how that decision is made is it based on timeframe of being suspended or there is more to it ?
TL, IG raising margin has no relevence what so ever to this there were approx 20 shares that are currently suspended that had margins dramatically raised on thursday.
Going by the timing of the notice as I mentioned brokers are generally given 10 business days notice and IG raised to 100-% on Thursday so 10 business days timing does fit up till 28th July if that’s the date we are re-admitted. Of course the brokers could have received the notices earlier and ig simply only sent the email on Thursday. But timing does suggest does indicate return to market is imminent whether that’s next week or the following week remains to be seen

I have always believed that SAVE will get there in the end and the SP will be well in excess of £2. I am less confident I will be there to enjoy it. Despite everything this is as good a bet on Aim as any. I got 60% plus on my XRP crypto in one day yesterday so I am currently more disposed to utility cryptos and I am particularly happy the corrupt criminal gang aka the SEC got a devastating loss. In my opinion 95% of cryptos will die but the returns on high quality utility cryptos will be huge over the medium to long term. Please forgive this off topic comment it is my first and I will not do another one
TiL - last time I asked AK preferred to stay on AIM due to less regulation than main market which gives him more freedom to do in part what he wants. He also said that none of our II’s had mentioned it or were pushing for a move.
Having said that, that was when we were a bit smaller than we are now and if SS closes we will be significantly bigger. I’d prefer to stay where we are until we’re a lot bigger and maybe consider a move to main market when market cap over 2bn sterling.
Could we be targeting a Listing on the main market now considering the size of the acquisition and to attract the right pool of investors it might be time we moved to the main market on the back of the Petronas South Sudan deal ?
Moho, they can not close out suspended shares however you margin come tuesday will be affected, when we start trading that is when it will be affected, read my earlier post. i hold stock and spread bet. ig are covering bases on several suspended stocks. if you have other stock positions open in profit close them and take the money out lesson your exposure, i assume you are not a professional trader ? Gla thanks Zen, TL and RR
TiL - obviously we can never be sure of the exact detail / sequence of events. But my understanding is that this deal needs the SS Governments explicit agreement and signature before AD is issued. Like I say we can’t be certain of this but I think when AD is issued it will have full Government approval (assuming we get it) and then the only thing after the AD issue will be shareholder approval which they aim to get in 2.5 / 3 weeks after the big RNS.
As an aside, one of my main concerns back in April when the fighting started was that our debt finance provider may have pulled their offer. As we’ve heard nothing about that after 3 months I think all is still good. And I would not be surprised if it’s coming from Petronas and linked heavily to future production so that we share the risk.
One things for sure, should we successfully see the AD it’s going to be one hell of a heavy read. 500 pages plus???
And then bang - another big deal to follow swiftly.
Who know for all we know Andrew could have been in South Sudan this week crossing the t&c over the weekend.
Rockyride - did you mention we are only going to publish an admission document and re-list on ministerial approval of the deal ? Is that are choice or a requirement for this particular deal do you know ? My question is could we release and admission document and delist with approval forthcoming I know it wouldn’t be ideal but just want to know what room savannah have to manoeuvre ? For all we know South Sudan could drag its feet for a few more months ……………. Would be good to get clarity on this
Great stuff as usual zengas really look forward to your peer comparisons and they serve as a great benchmark of what to potentially expect in a success case scenario.
