Hope the short gang are closing today. Previous two have been very blue,a trend could be forming and it’s hard to fight a trend. Thinking people are noticing this co is a turning
Make money rexco? In Range?
Yes a little to soon but we’re still on higher lows which is encouraging atb
Axebob. .......he keeps going on about shorters burning. ....the shorters have long left the building along with elvis
All buys lse wouldn’t lie. Dame burning in the kitchen again see you later
Intraday iPhone error
As an investor I don't take much notice of the intrastate movements and wonder how anyone can trade in RRL with such a large spread Does anyone make any money?
Obviously they see Malcy as a well respected oil professional who looks at the long term prospects for the company. He can understand their layered approach to building company value and the stock price. It is important to understand that RRL is in recovery mode has a long way to go but at present the position is improving. So I do feel that if the report is positive investors will feel that the company has a future. Building confidence in RRL will take time but hopefully this will be the start
We don't have enough information on why the purchase of Trinity assets was refused but since Petrotrin has been in a bit of turmoil things could easily change. It could simply be that the Trinidad Government thinks the assets will earn them more in the hands of Trinity but since Range are looking to maximise production through water flood things could change. In fact a merged company would be beneficial to Trinidad if the merger increases production
If that is the way you see it, bl**dy say that then and you might stop getting some of the constant flack you get that clogs up the board with your army of haters. Its almost like you like the attention when you freely admit you know that they were not all buys. Its easily, especially with Range at the moment, to figure out the buys and sells, regardless of how they are reported. As the actual spread, within the reported spread, is clear. The midpoint method of reporting buys and sells works well for shares with sensible spreads. I do wonder why the advertised price to sell, isnt moved to more accurately reflect what is going on. In all honest it would better off they were not reported unless they can be reported with a reasonable level of accuracy, for me an asterisk does not cut it as a caveat. KRO
To be honest Bounty that was how I read it too but couldn't resist posting the sea of supposed blue, I didn't for a minute think they were all Buys but that is the mystery of how trades are reported.
Celtic, will you ever learn... Anything below 0.18 was not a buy - it was a sell. The split from your photo actually shows approx. 1m shares bought v 1.2m shares sold - of the buys - I bought 60% of them... KRO
Looking a bit blue out there since yesterday afternoon:
Exploration watch: Trinidad: New energy to low cost, low risk region Trinidad is a well-established oil and gas producing region, with continuous production since the first field came onstream in 1902. The hydrocarbon sector has been predominantly producing gas since the 1990s and offshore gas development is dominated by the majors: BP, Shell, BHP and EOG resources. This has created an opportunity for independent companies to operate in the onshore oil fields located in the south of the island. Columbus Energy Resources (CERP), Range Resources, Touchstone Exploration and Trinity Exploration and Production all operate producing onshore oil fields, while Trinity also operates offshore in the Columbus Basin. Recent management changes or new funding at these companies has resulted in a boost to activity across assets that offer low cost, low risk development, although there are challenges in producing from older well stock in geologically complex structures. http://www.edisoninvestmentresearch
Rainbow good post bud. .........as you say bounty is not telling investers to buy and is showing integrity and balance in his posts. ......what he is saying is do not fall in love with a company/share price. It will not love you back and timing is everything
Good post bounty. ...my apologies bud .......that was a silly assumption by me. As you say your low average and not getting too greedy is the trick. ..just wait for the spike and hope it comes. Gl
Predators, you have assumed I am in only one stock which is not true, the majority of my portfolio is in funds and a portion in bigger divi paying companies. I dont feel the need to post on them as they tend to take care over themselves over the longer term. Range is my guilty pleasure which I play with money that I could (but obviously dont want to) afford to lose should the worst happen. By my own admission, I am somewhat emotionally attached to Range, having been in and out of it for around 10 years (?), it has taught me a lot but I would like to see one final profit before I consign it to my history. One thing it will teach me this time around is not be greedy, hence the joke earlier about the 1 party. I know that if this starts trending towards say 1p, then the hype machine will come out in full force, I will be out the door as soon as the brakes start to become applied. I will effectively apply a trailing stop when I am prepared to lose say 10%-20% off of the top but avoid getting locked back in if it starts to nose dive again. My plan, as it stands it to be out of here by the middle of next year, with 6 months to spare before the 1st big debt payment is due. But as ever plans can and do change. One point over the low volume of late, it does suggest that it is reasonably tough to get people to part with their shares even with the risks as it stands. We have not really had a huge sell off at any recent point, which could suggest that the rise up COULD be a quick one, if/when it gets going. As I have said I am happy with the position that I hold. KRO PS It is particularly funny that the small sells argument that Celtic raised for a long time now is being used my derampers, perhaps the tide COULD be turning.
Bounty....I respect you as a poster/research but to go all in rrl is mad. .even celticheart with his ridiculous assumptions is not all in as he is in another stock. ....you have a low average which is good if a spike comes but if not the game will be over for you. ..
It has went through this morning at 9:05 for just under 600k shares. I have spend the last number of weeks trying to get orders filled at 0.17, 0.18 and yesterday at 0.19 but they only once got partly filled. The MM (I am not a conspiracy theorist) have little interest in making a market for the share, the spread continues to quash any buys or sells, it took me best part of a month to get my order filled and that took concessions on my behalf. With a spread like this, it is very difficult to get any meaningful volumes to get any movement. Though, if we could get some decent buys, I dont see us being far away from ticking up potentially It is nice to see the buy level recovering ever so slightly increased and we are on the way to the 1 party as per Celtics charts (joke!). I am happy with the level of exposure as it stands, my average now sits at around 0.39p (give or take) with 3.9m of these golden tickets. Interestingly, I can defo sell my shares from my previous purchase at a profit in spite of certain posters banging on about sells in the 0.15p level. Lets hope that we can see a marked improvement in regards to BOPD and revenues in the half yearlys which are due out 16th March (I believe may be wrong). Also, Malcy is out in Trinidad, and like him or loathe him, if he provides some decent insight with his blog, we could see an increase in the SP. The BOD still have some questions to answer as it stands in my eyes, but I am going to wait out the half yearlys and review how strongly the questions are worded. Finally, I genuinely believe that if Range can show some positive news over the coming months this will lead to an increase in the SP and hopefully some of the negatively that has burdened the Range name can be filed in the past and we can start to see the positives in the future and some investers start to return. KRO PS. I stopped posting on here as there appears to be little to discuss other than moaning about Celtic and buys and sells that amount to shrapnel found down the back of the sofa.
You have to look at the global position not just the rise in production from the US countries like Venezuela have been forced to cut their production dramatically, remember Venezuela has the 7th largest oil reserves in the world. That's more than Russia, Libya or the United States. "The retreat by oil producers during an oil-price plunge between 2014 and 2016, however, continues to raise the specter that not enough money has been spent on exploration, which can result in shortages and price spikes. The IEA predicts that within five years, the cushion of production capacity over expected demand will fall to its lowest level since 2007. That was the year that the price for oil in the U.S. surged close to $150. Prices are less than half that today. The energy agency, which advises energy-consuming countries, said Monday that global energy demand will grow about 7% by 2023, to 104.7 million barrels of oil per day. Citing the production capabilities of drillers operating in U.S. shale fields, the world capacity to produce oil will hit 107 million barrels a day." https://www.usatoday.com/story/money/energy/2018/03/05/forecast-u-s-oil-expected-meet-most-worlds-growth-demand/394433002/?linkId=100000002016811
