Hi DamayHill, the pension deficit is now around the £50 million level. Frightening at first glance but taken over many years it's pretty much a non event. I think a transfer of the pension to LGEN or PHNX would alleviate most concerns and should be viewed as possible. See Steve's comment earlier today and see what you think.
Thanks chasbrown, I appreciate you taking the time to respond. Any concerns about the pension deficit and have there been many communications about how and over what period they are seeking to address this, as clearly this would be a big factor for any potential suitor?
Interest rates staying higher for longer causing whole market to take a step back and some profit taking.
this stock is still very under valued and will be in the 80p range by xmas.
been following this stock since 2019 watching and learning all the way.
opportunities like this do not come very often fill your boots on this dip .
results out 17/july. enjoy the ride.
This morning I would have said to wait for a pull back in sp which has now appeared this afternoon! I'm not aware of any news to cause the drop so maybe wait until Monday to buy in case anything comes to light after hours. Renold is a well run outfit and any news on resumption of dividend next month should provide a further boost. Imo it is worth holding for future growth and takeover potential.
The price has dropped 8% in the past half an hour. This appears from what I can see to be based on no news, however whenever something drops around 2pm I always assume it is in some way linked to something happening over the pond in the US. Is anyone aware of any data or earnings releases to drive this kind of swift decline?
Looking to potentially add this to my portfolio. Have read a number of RNS's, particularly more recent ones, but would be grateful for a balanced synopsis from somebody who has been keeping eyes on this for longer. What are the key pros and cons? What are the key upcoming events to be aware of? Has recent strong growth in share price eroded the attraction of entry at this time? Grateful for the narrative as you see it. Thanks.
I'm still bid only. Not offering. Can't get £50k. Sales going through as some smaller sellers come out with this uptick. This feels squeezy to the upside.
Interesting thanks, please keep us updated.
I'm now on the bid
I've been offering 300,000 shares at 64.2 for weeks.
Pulled it this morning when market was 63-64, then it went to 64-65.
There's not much on the offered side right now. Can't get £50k's worth.
At the current going you could easily sell 300000 without sending the price down I reckon.
I just removed my sell order above the market and we moved from 63p bid to 64p bid :)
No intention of selling this beast!
So £150k of the trades showing as sells are actually buys. and my target for july is 65p as per master investor article
It would be crazy to sell any before the results as even if it pulls back a bit the results + a dividend would just drive the sp back up and further. jmho but i believe this stock is still under valued.
60p paid this morning, another year high. Wondering how high we can go.
Nice £100k buy earlier.
Moved again today. nicely, many trades not showing
Ditto.
Normal service resumed
Yes looking very positive for the future.
Such a great sign. a huge £1 million sale and it bounced back.. bullet proof, wont see 60 this week bbut should get there next week now. I'm really bullish on this
That was a lumpy sell £1 m.... some one has taken a nice profit.. lets see if its a TR1 rns, coulld add some more liqquidity to the market tho.
Again, becoming a nice trend!
