Well boys you got king and look what he has done to us, the beginning of a very slow death by a thousand cuts he can't be trusted in anyway shape or form
ff - so why would the other 85% shareholders be interested in that ? That is straight from planet bonkers. You need a new guru - this one has lost a battery.
King isn't on the board, so it would need to have been Park, Gilligan and Murray .....
It seems that the changing ownership was done on the 25 of March weeks after King had the reins. Doe you think they knew and had agreed or does it take that amount of time to transfer IP?
Look just how gullible are you? The IPO says in black and whyte that Sports Direct OWNS the intellectual property and LEASES it to Rangers Retail, essentially back to itself, it's a license to print money - best bit is that any unsold stock has to be purchased by the club at a profit to Rangers Retail. Now given what is known about Micky Ashley - do you really believe that the IP will be returned to the club IF the loan is repaid
I think there is a village somewhere that has lost their idiot.
@cb - "I still don't get how it even works -remember there is a limit to how many shares can be issued at a rights issue - 40% I think." ???? man you don't understand how dilatation of shares work ffs - 40% more on offer - no one buys ( cos 100 rfc for 1 micromega pish) and thus kings 15%+3tb 40% share becomes 75%+ and they have full control..... then Micromega shares claims owning RFC (global brand) adds £50m to their value and King&co sell 80% of micromega and make £40m... that's what he did last time allegedly which got him $42m and tax issues.... cos making that amount without paying tax is odd Green (£22m in ipo... wheres that's gone), Whyte (£4m jelavic money wheres that and £14m hrmc).. these guys all walk away with our clubs value in their pockets leaving bills and nothing behind - no badges, no assets.... just team... and 12 of those out of contract... we left as a hulk of what we were - least we have priceless trophies....
Not looking too hopeful for one of these sellouts cambridge and stuzetroll were promising. Cambridge will have to redo his pie & bovril bonanza sales calculations: http://www.rangers.talent-sport.co.uk/PagesPublic/ProductBrowse/standAndAreaSelection.aspx?stadium=IB&product=T15A17&campaign=&type=H&productsubtype=
Exactly - the trouble appears to be that Potless Paul & 'honest' Dave haven't got a fiver between them far less £5m
If Potless Paul & 'honest' Dave just had £5m (of the £50m they were talking of investing) to repay MA, then I'm sure the IPs will be returned. Sky Sports also reporting it this way certainly. Those who voted-in the two paupers should be ashamed of themselves.
Once the £5m loan is repaid, the club gets all the IP rights back. Have a look at STV's latest article. They have clarified the situation.
No need to change the name, half the supporters already wear black and red...
Aye and call yourself Govan Harp
Just design new badges .... Aston Villa done it a few years ago. The badges are worthless if the team doesn't wear them.
Admin won't cut it, Liquidation very risky as new club will most likely have to pay Ashley a handsome sum to call itself Rangers
I still don't get how it even works -remember there is a limit to how many shares can be issued at a rights issue - 40% I think. King underwrites but with other shares not cash. Shareholders don't pony up their cash as its a duff deal - as underwriter he acquires the new shares but with other shares as equity - and no cash enters the club. And he's left with a club with no money and he owns the shares he had before in the other firm. So what do we use to buy new players ? Will FC Tromso accept a share certificate a box of shortbread and "Glasgow's Miles Better" badge for their 19 year old centre back ? So apart from the fans being up in arms, other shareholders poised to vote him out, the club with no money and him not being any better off it sounds like a genius plan.
@cb - "ff- sounds like the deluded ramblings of a deranged whatjamacallit" if only CB , if only. See my problem is here - the blogger in question clearly deranged in many ways - but predicted our fall and now predicts things which keep coming true.... too many things. You don't give me the confidence that King is not planning a 1-for-100 rfc share issue .... if a final desperate act to get money between now and ST renewal..... I hope blogger is wrong - but no one on here ever able to dismiss his claims - some are false - but a blogger only needs to be right once - when you claim he wrong - to beat you... so far he about 10 - 4 in his favour against you.... how come - if he making it up .....? His idea is what King did last time to get the £42m in first place to hit his tax issues... how else did king make £42m in income ? cos if he is a successful business man then no issue and he has money to invest..... Ashley made money stuffing JJB sports and Dave Whelan - in a david and goliath battle
ff- sounds like the deluded ramblings of a deranged whatjamacallit. The point of the offer is to raise £££ for Rangers and that only comes from shareholders giving cash to the club in return for equity in the club. Your pal's idea sounds like the plot of Richard Prior film.
Administration beckons, accept the 25 point penalty and take the hit! Seemples.
@cb pmg been posting that limited rights issue to shareholders will be made - but into MicroMega - so that 100 rfc shares becomes 1 MicroMega and thus King owns 90% of Micromega... and then shareholders (Ashley and fans) own just 10% of Micro Mega,... or if its shareoffer and most don't take up - existing shareholders shares are reduced - so king gets 80% control again. either way - its limited to existing holders... not public and unlikely to work - and thus designed to fail - with however underrights it getting control of club for little input - which again it whats claimed King raison d'etre is...... David Murray tried to raise £50m this was and only got £1m....... After AIM £22m float - can see that scale (and was £5m from fans) ,,,,, again... too much austerity in the air So Ashley has the key assets.... and loans secured King has the board and legal requirement to pay bills ,..... does not look good for King... needs £10-20m very quickly from where.... existing shareholders only.....???? does not add up
Collyer Bristow claimed the same for a while jb..
there is no evidence otherwise
> ‘The Old Firm’ Trade Mark. >For better or ill it’s still the same with the joint owner remaining: ‘Celtic F.C. Limited and The Rangers Football Club plc’. So this gone as well as BDO has rights to that not RIFC.
Well we await the details ff - I should imagine it will be existing shareholders only - no need for a listing to for a limited rights issue - it will be up to shareholders to take part or not.
