Although price is obviously below the stated mid price of 1.375p
Hopefully, Cedric managed to entice the South Koreans, as the article specifically mentions Mozambique.
Nice tight spread being offered for a change, with the last two trades a buy and not a sell. Continue to load in anticipation of good things to come!

I think the Monte Muambe metallurgy results will be interesting, and have a positive impact on the project economics. Samples are currently with Auralia Metallurgy in Perth (the same company used by Mkango) and SGS Lakefields in Canada, results should start to be released over coming weeks and concluded this quarter.
When Mkango completed their metallurgy testing in 2021, their flotation recovery of TREO went from 67% to 74% and there was a tripling of flotation concentrate grade to 15% TREO from 4.7% TREO. Altona are starting from a higher TREO grade already and using newer techniques and reagents, which bodes well for a significant recovery upgrade and therefore reduced OPEX.
The metallurgy results will also direct this year’s drilling campaign to pinpoint the higher grade zones. The aim being to grow the resource in the most targeted way. If all goes to plan then it should become a project that, at PFS completion, will attract some serious interest.

...this morning, ree - seems a transforming company, and quickly apparently, had to use several limit buys.
AIMO ATB
Yes I saw the interview on Stockbox - what I'm finding really bizarre is that they basically acquired the Zambia license for shares in REE at 5p - I don't understand this at all as the shares trading at a1p!
I think the plan is to use existing data gathered by the previous owners, which is extensive, then plan some infill drilling to commence in April 2025. Cedric is pretty good at doing things on a budget and is talking about bringing a 'strategic investor' onboard.
Acquiring a copper tenement in Zambia is usually never a bad thing, though how the blazes REE intends to finance exploration there I don't know. Well I do know... I guess we all know...
Let’s hope these coming results are good!

Wilkinson Taylor seems to be a disaster zone, over at QBT his input just as dire
Sad to watch this one, and see participants in mutliple recent equity raises hosed. An Optiva special, and the Chairman…well…what can we say. Suppose the only bright side is that former CEO Christian Wilkinson-Taylor, who owns about 7pc of the shares, probably got hosed as well…he own 3/5th of F’all now in vakue terms. Too smart by half. Divine retribution. Incompetence has a new Champion. Feel sorry for the new CEO - Mr Simonet. He caught a hospital pass from the Optiva/ CWT / “dead” Wood. Lesson learned to avoid this terrible trio in the future.

What seems to have have happened is a slippery tongued spin merchant pulled as much money into this as he could before the reality hit the SP. Then the slippery tongued spin guy moved onto another fairytale and this is awaiting some new chapters of make believe, a raise and another drop in the SP, at that point probably some money will enter and fluff this up.
Cynical Pooper, watching and learning lol
Have you read all of the recent RNSs, watched all of the many interviews, read the company presentations and the scoping study, and still don’t know what’s going on? If so I’d recommend you go and do something else with your time.
Anyone understand what's going on with this stock? Non existent newsflow. They can't have much working capital left and the CEO and "Chairman" are nowhere to be seen.

A change of directors is needed

Hi Paul, great news indeed!
With a market cap of only £2.4 million this company remains very under the radar.
Such a great asset that they are doing a great job of moving forward. They are sitting on quite a lot of cash still. So if there is a fund raise it won't be for some time. But like all listed companies that are not generating revenue or a profit, a fund raise is always needed at some point.
Good news of another asset coming into the portfolio, or a tie up with Rainbow Rare Earths for example might light some fire under this share price that should comfortably be at 10p right now.
We are feeling the market here as all small cap mining stocks are. It will turn, and those that have spotted the brilliant early stage opportunity here will be pleased when it does.
Some great news coming out of REE but unfortunately, because we all know there's a raise coming I don't see the SP reacting until it's out of the way. potentially massive dilution given the current SP, depending how much they want to raise.
Exciting times here.
I just bought another 110,000 shares this morning at under the price quoted on the site. So it shows as a sell which it most certainly wasn't.
This is very undervalued and under the radar still despite the positive interviews that have been happening. I guess the next milestones and steps to be achieved in the next couple of months should see the price move and investor appetite ramp up.
I can see an announcement about another deal for another project coming out of the blue at some point. That should grab some market attention as well.
Altona have a lot of cash in the bank which de risks this as well.
Its an accumulate and hold opportunity for me and i can see this comfortably moving through 5pence within the next couple of months.

Excellent progress. The PFS has been given a head start by the fact that the MRE and Scoping Study were far more detailed than required. Ongoing drilling will continue to grow the resource for the duration of PFS work, still so much to be explored and discovered.
So after the excitement of Sept 25th I noted the following upcoming news events - getting close to something...
So upcoming:
> Scoping study released 3rd week in October
> CPR to be released in October
> ON publishing CPR REE get to 51% ownership
> October start the Pre-feasibility study
in a word....momentum.

Yup each announcement now demonstrating definite progression
Better & better...
51% control and de-risking.
And here it is - obvs all these numbers will most likely improve when we get the results of more drilling in the high grade zones.
"· Post-tax NPV 8(2) of US$ 283.3 million
· Post-tax IRR(3) of 25%
· Payback from first production: 2.5 years
· Production of 15,000 tonnes per annum, on average, of Mixed Rare Earth Carbonate ("MREC"), at an average price of US$ 13,558.4 per tonne of MREC(4)
· 18 years Life of Mine ("LoM")
· Open pit mining operation, 750,000 tonnes of ore extracted and processed per annum
· Two stage recovery process, consisting of comminution and flotation, followed by hydrometallurgy
· LoM EBITDA(5) of US$ 1.67 billion
· Initial Capex of US$ 276.3 million"

Treo is not the key metric. Mining is a tiny part of REE production cost.
What is critical is the ratio of NdPr to the worthless REE.
This is because it cost just as much to process junk as it does NdPr.
For example to process 1000kg TREO it will cost $10,000 in reagents. This would yield 120kg of NdPr.
Another mine, MKA (18% NdPR) would yield 180kg. 50% more income for the same cost. And MKA is probably unviable at its $44, 000 per ton production cost.
Top ratios are 29%. Costs are $33000
But the ionic clay mines in Australia have costs of 31,000.
You guys are looking at double that.
This is why the sp is tanking. Its completely uneconomical.
I agree. Very eary days but very encouraging start with resource viable and open.
I agree. Very eary days but very encouraging start with resource viable and open.
I'm very encouraged by the initial MRE, people forget how early stage this project is and how the resource will grow as additional drilling and exploration is done across alternate targets.
I dug out Mkango's MRE of Songwe when it was first released in 2012 and here's how it stacks up against Altona's
Mkango - 11.21 million tonnes at 1.95% TREO = 218,477 tonnes - NDPR 0.34%
Altona - 13.6 million tonnes at 2.42% TREO = 329,120 tonnes - NDPR 0.31%
This project should deliver a lot of value for holders as it progresses through PFS to DFS and the resource is sured up. I'd be very surprised if the scoping study came back saying the project is not economically viable based on the results from this MRE.
Once the scoping study is released Altona will also take on 51% control of the asset which will also significantly derisk the project.

.31%/2.42% =12% NdPr
Thats dismal, average is 19%.
Uneconomic resource, its never going to be mixed.
The company has made it clear they'd prefer to see warrants exercised as there's a lot of funding available there. They better start pumping the SP!.
Could it be after rns or presentation. Couple of days later maybe imho
They've already said there will be an equity raise but not yet.
Need to raise capita to fund? Equity raise maybe imho

Far better economics on a high-grade deposit. If they can increase the size while maintaining this TREO% going into PFS then this becomes a seriously valuable project. Market currently snoozing on this one, that will change in time.
Thanks @kalasin - good to compare.
Can't help but feel as these boxes are getting ticked off this must start to get noticed.
Just for reference, Mkango ( MKA ) have a MRE of 18.1 M tonnes @1.24 TREO! Below Altona's cut off grade
Still not got back in here, there seems to be no news, flying well under the radar still, if this dips into the 3.** i'll start accumulating

Nice interview with LSE today, highlighting:
1) Publication of the Maiden Mineral Resource Estimate next month
2) Publication of a Significant JORC resource estimate
3) How they intent to fast-track further drilling to extended their resource estimates into a world class rare Earths opportunity
