Hi afrc
At the risk of reiteration I cant see any reason why this is underperforming an already weak market. As far as I am aware there is no significant exposure to Eastern Europe which is the reason for similar underperformers (an which in their case is understandable). The fact that Ricardo is involved in green technologies that the imposition of Russian sanctions will, if anything, accelerate early take up of makes if even more confounding.
I think this is my worst investment!
So very disappointing. The sp has lost so much more than the average 20% in most serious companies and yet the recent results were rather encouraging.
RCDO has been such an underperforming share even in good times. I remember pti ccid when this was trading at more than 800 with not so good results.
Now with the situation in Ukraine expected to depress the markets even more, i would not be surprised to see the sp hitting 250 or even less.
What a bad investment this has been considering what a solid and promising co RCDO is !!!!
Ouch. Continues. Drop the best part of twice that of, for instance, the FTSE250 in the same period. Anyone got any theories?
Certainly is. Well apart from losing over 10% if its MC in a week!
Is there any exposure to the Russian market here?
Engineering consultancy’s green agenda is starting to bear fruit.

A bull & bear case on RCDO.
Note: their IR department couldn't provide me answers to a few of my questions. They were pretty bad.

Yes really good trading update and the sp continues to disappoint. This has been a terrible investment in a company that promises so much and is fundamentally in a very sound financial situation. Why is the sp not reflecting the good recent results ??
Excellent trading update. Company positioned v well (particularly in emerging green technologies). Still feels v undervalued and ??should touch last years £5.05 high. Good luck all holders

Ricardo now joins a growing group of global businesses that have received approval of their targets, ensuring that greenhouse gas emissions from Ricardo's operations (scopes 1 and 2)[1] are consistent with the reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5ºC, the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement.
The targets, as approved by the Science Based Targets initiative, are:
1. Ricardo commits to reduce scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46.2% by 2031 from a 2020 base year, modelled using the Absolute Contraction approach.
2. Ricardo also commits to increase its annual sourcing of renewable electricity to 90% by 2026.
3. In addition, Ricardo has made a commitment to reduce scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 27.5% by 2031 from a 2020 base year.
Agree there afrc, but not seeing a market Death Cross anywhere yet . rcdo back to the 200ma so soon is disappointing, still I'm looking for another break higher ~ 480 area perhaps,,, could tread water a while first of course. GL

I am afraid we are in for some very tricky times now IMO. Not only is the covid situation coming back on, but on the political international front we now have the very possible Russia Ukraine crisis and the brewing problems with the Serbia Bosnia. So overall very tricky times ahead with massive downward pressures for equity prices world wide.
Very brave the investors who will buy into this market but where is the bottom.
I would not be surprised if co's like RCDO test the £375 £350 level soon.
What a frustrating pattern this sp is showing . From where we would go and test the £500 level, now we may go under the £400 level. And this on good news !!!
This share can not seem to keep an upwards momentum Considering we all think its very much undervalued and it keeps coming up with bits and pieces of good news.,just when i thought we would breach the 500 level, there we go back down again to the 450 !!!!
The most undervalued stock on LSE. Full stop.
Yes afrc, pleased. They seem logically so undervalued for such quality company
Is the sp finally making a long awaited move upwards ?The low volume and buy to sell ratio does not indicate so but maybe the market sentiment for the share which is so undervalued , finally has turned positive !!!

@Trouts it took me some time to do research and realise that the after dividend drops are not controlled by supply and demand at all but by the market maker. So if one is in just ignore it, if one is out just exploit it.
GLA
Well, that corrected itself quickly. A quick spread bet first thing would have paid off handsomely... Ahh, the benefit of hindsight.
5p dividend and the price drops 12p at opening on a generally blue start. This market is so dumb sometimes!
It is creeping up the sp, i have a feeling it may breach the 450 mark soon !!!
Everyone, I got the link from another board who triggered a petition against shorting
You may be interested to sign it as well so please circulate to all boards you are on and they are affected
