decent results tomorrow would make the big boys aware of the company`s potential and how much undervalued in the sum of parts.
results are tomorrow. if an announcement is made on protracted sale of tradetech for 200+million as expected, results are decent, special divi poss. then should go past £5 hopefully.
A bit disappointed that we have not been swept along in the sector euphoria as others have enjoyed decent sp rises on the basis of consolidation or rumours of such. Anyone have a view on why we are in the 4 hundreds and not 6 hundreds?
150000 sell at 16:01 but still finished in positive territory.
150000 sale at 16;01. still holding on blue
So let me get this straight. The new offer of $250 million for Finalto can't be considered currently due to the existing agreement with the consortium bid. However if the shareholders were to reject the offer on 15th July and vote against the sale Playtech would then be in the position to discuss the $250 million offer.
So rejecting the offer brings the company an extra $40 million if all were to proceed to sale.
Erm sounds to me like the easiest 40 million made. Might even bring about a counter offer!
Interesting times!!
anybody any ideas as to why the drop is so severe. looked everywhere for any clues. nothing
Up 45% in 6 months same again please added!!!!
Playtech has secured the exclusive worldwide rights to create a range of branded online gaming titles based on television programmes produced and distributed by AMC Networks and WE tv.
The agreement will cover franchises such as The Walking Dead, Marriage Boot Camp and Bridezillas.
Playtech will now start to develop the new titles, with the aim of releasing the online games to the market later this year and in 2022.
“We are honoured to have been chosen as AMC Networks’ exclusive partner to bring their flagship brands to the online gaming market,” Playtceh’s chief operating officer Shimon Akad said.
“Playtech has a long and proud history of combining the very best brands with our industry leading products; this new partnership demonstrates our continued commitment to delivering an entertainment-led experience to key strategic audiences across regulated markets.”
AMC Networks’ vice president of games Clayton Neuman added: “From undead hordes of flesh-eating walkers to an army of enraged brides, AMC Networks is home to some of the most explosive dramas on television.
“We are delighted to partner with Playtech to deliver that same action and excitement from our iconic brands for the first time in a world-class online gaming experience
Any chance Playtech would be paying a special dividend for the sale of Sale of Its Financial Trading Division Finalto, for $210 million?
At these prices I am surprised that we have not been subject to a takeover bid.
Well done playtech the come back to £5 is almost complete m
14 casinos in Holland, well done PTEC!
PEEL HUNT RAISES PLAYTECH TO 'BUY' FROM 'REDUCE' - TARGET RAISED TO 600 FROM 435 PENCE.
The RNS which contained the 2020 finals also stated that the company tax residency migration from IoM to UK was completed in January. However, the share ISIN remains IM... and I believe the share register remains in the IoM. Anybody know where the domicile is now, from the point of view of UK HMRC? Before the migration, it was unequivocally IoM (and therefore "foreign") but it's less clear now.
Coming back strong after the results, may just see that £5 again soon . I did add $1700 at an average 448in 3 buys on Etouro ,
Playtech has confirmed plans to open its first live casino studio in the US after securing a multi-year lease at a site in the city of Southfield, Michigan.
The studio – which will be linked to Playtech’s flagship studio in Riga, Latvia, via video technology – will support Playtech’s growth strategy in the US.
The company is expecting to move into the new premises in the coming months following fit-out work, although a precise date has not been disclosed due to uncertainties caused by Covid-19. The site will feature bespoke areas dedicated to specific operator clients, as well as networked tables.
A Playtech spokesperson told iGamingBusiness that Playtech would be able to scale up its facilities at the studio as the company expands its live entertainment and game show content offering for the iGaming market in Michigan and other regulated states across the US.
Mr Mattingley may well use the next interims to kitchen sink everything, and so bolster his own reputation. Selling a while back may have been the sensible option!
You've got to suspect some downbeat rumours are circulating .
The continued fall today is disappointing. The results last week were not good, but there were positive statements about US growth, and Mr Mattingley coming in as Chairman should see some reforms getting pushed through. There is, of course, still the possibility of a merger/takeover driven by the activist shareholders. On a PER of 20 this is not exactly cheap, but with so much potential remaining I am happy to hold for now.
I won’t lie the recent pull back hurt a little,, it’s had a good run so can’t complain
I took the 10% pull back to top up only £500 but every little helps

Above link shows the wee mess they have made with what is now Finalto. Having said that, they have now booked the losses, so we should be onwards and upwards from here.
Fair results given we’ve had a pandemic, looking at the bigger picture they haven’t issued more shares to stay afloat like some companies, the loss wasn’t that huge, were growing in America , and were just about to come out of lockdown worldwide, sports betting will be huge in America and with uk shares looking cheap in foreign eyes especially America ready to snap up gambling ventures in what is a relatively new market this company and shares long term willlook cheap ,
I’m going to take today’s pull back to top up a little £500.
Had a glance before the market open and there were a lot of figures down from previous year. I will let somebody else read it all properly but the market doesnt look impressed so far. The BOD also needs to settle down and give a clear indication where its going. Think I'll stay with PLUS for the time being
