Why the big drop anyone know?
Anyone else looking to top up this morning? Absolute bargain basement price given ALTE and Fresho potential.
It seems like the delayed dividend allocation happened to give Stephen Ball time to shift his shares from his personal capacity to his corporate/company account in order to better manage his taxes. For more context have a look at the conversations on ADFVN
Divi record date this coming week
Investors are here for Fresho 4%
££££
2024 could be the epic year that the patient holders have been waiting for.
We haven't received an update from ALTE in a while, but I see that Verdant has a new website, their Redbank power station is currently undergoing planning approval: https://verdantearth.tech/
Thanks. I loved my Fresho theory but another bit of straight talking from Rupert. This is fast becoming my favourite stock.
Poormandreaming.
In answer to your question re divi.
Quote from Rupert chairman.
"purely an internal administrative change due to the bank holiday. Normally LSE record days are on a Friday but this was not possible due to Easter. We were informed that LSE timetable now allowed for the record date on the Tuesday after Easter. These days also helped out with our liquidity management. Payment date exactly the same so shouldn't make any difference.
Yeah, I saw that. Does anyone know why that might happen? We all know that the share price is likely to dip by around 1.5p when it goes ex-divi. But, would it if it going ex-divi was timed to coincide with positive news on Fresho? What a clever move that might be. Anyone with more experience got any other theories?
On 25th Jan my finger hovered over the sell button at 2.6p as I nearly ran out of patience despite still having belief that it was ridiculously undervalued. Lucky escape or what! Note to self, when you've done your research, hold your nerve!
Div date seems to have changed to next week.
Quote from Jason Kotchoff, founder of Stocklight.com and now works on software at Fresho:

Interesting reasoning here too: https://stocklight.com/news/stocklight-product-update-fresho
Doubt that very much.
Should settle at 6p after divi pay out
Well my prediction of 3-3.5p ex divi is out of the window, it was based on the sp at the time of posting. Looks like some buying is happening and doesn't take much to have an effect on the share price as shares are in short supply. Hopefully new investors and existing are looking at Fresho and the benefit this will give to Primorus and possibly another divi in the not so distant future.
Doubt we will see 3p again buys coming in for the divi date tomorrow .
If it gets down to 3p or even 3.5p, I suspect that the patient long term holders will be topping up in their droves (me included). The board needed to prove their worth and have now done so. Their strategy of moving towards a clearer NAV will be taken as a huge positive by the market and the special divi shows that the board are aligned with the shareholders. In my view even at 5p, this remains a well under valued off the radar gem.
Interesting move
Wonder what the tax implications are on the PayApps disposal? Even after payment of the dividend there is still a decent profit so (on paper) the sp might not fall that much. Soon see.
I reckon 3 - 3.5 bid/offer may larger spread initially but as the divi gets paid out some of that will be used to reinvest so expect a climb in the sp.awaiting Fresho that will give a bigger uplift in the sp.
Be interesting to see how the market values this company after it goes xd on Thursday. Any predictions?
Spread is a disgrace.
HL were 5 and 6.5 when I posted. Even at your figures it's making me think twice about topping up.
Sells are at 5.6 and buys 6.3
