Has anyone used the We Shop app? I've just used it for the first time. It looks good. I wonder if Joe Public will be patient enough to wait 12 months for a payout or understand share ownership but for those who do, this looks a good thing. The main drawback at the moment is that it's not well marketed - I wouldn't have known about it unless I was invested in Prim. I know that this isn't a core investment but maybe some potential still exists. Payouts have been between £250 and £9000 in year 1.
Testing123,
Thanks for this. Looks a very balanced set of calculations. Fresho is the exciting bit. Would be good to hear an update on ALTE but I have every confidence that the board will update us when the time is right.
Just seen they bought at 5.25. Seems very high to me but there's nothing I can do about it.
So any significant value increasing event in say Fresho, WeShop, Engage, Alte will put our NAV above our MCAP
Poormandreaming - here is a NAV calculation for you on Prim's holdings, with assumptions:
1. Fresho - if we take our total holdings and the last raise price, we get £1,638,003. Let's say double it as we know Fresho is continuing to grow, this gives us £3,276,006.
2. Engage, let's assume the value is the same as the last raise price, so total of £1,781,894.
3. CPH2, price has gone up but is still substantially below what we paid. At today's price this is a total of £325,000.
4. ALTE, the RTO with Verdant seems to have stalled so let's say this is just what we put in - £350,000.
5. Interpac, let's assume same as the last raise - £416,880.
6. WeShop, based on information from WeCap (formerly IamFire), from a January update, they own 15.3% of WeShop at a value of £24,600,000. So if prim owns 150k shares the value is £842,348.
This gives us a total value of current investments around £6,992,192. This almost matches our current market of £6.43m. There is still then the additional proceeds from the sale of the FMI Payapps business as well as cash holdings.
Excellent thanks ruskinboy I've received my too
Testing123 - has now been credited this morning. Wasn't automatic/immediate (as today's GSK divi) but has now been done (9:15).
Received mine via HSBC yesterday afternoon
Thanks ruskin I contacted them they said it takes 1-2 working days so if nothing reflecting by Friday afternoon to contact them
I haven't received my dividend as yet from Charles Stanley Direct - contacted them mid-afternoon to ask if there was a problem but not sorted out by close.
Has anyone tried to calculate our NAV recently? I have had a look but find it difficult. I know the boards strategy is to make the NAV easier to calculate bud I just wondered if anyone more clued up on some of the legacy investments might have an idea of what we're worth. One thing that I am convinced of is that the NAV is way more (possible multiples of) than the MCAP.
Has anyone using Charles Stanley Direct receive their divi yet?
Received mine from AJ Bell 2hrs ago.
Yep. Halifax paid. Waiting for my automatic reinvestment to kick in. Wonder what rate it will be.
Halifax has just paid in, for me at least.
Nothing from HL yet. I reckon we'll know when they start to drop as the top ups will start to flood in and the price will go up.
A J Bell has paid in.
Anyone received the dividend yet? Nothing from Halifax but I guess it is still early
I will for one.
Think there's a lot more to come. Things looking better than a few years ago though I remember the stick they got for selling GGP at 20!
The spread only affects day traders, there is a lot in the works with this share and this won't be the only special dividend in the works. I wonder how many will reinvest dividends when they're paid on the 10th.
As frustrating as the spread is, I would not let that put me off. The spread will only hurt when you come to sell. However, this is a long term hold for me. The board have just paid a special dividend of 1.5p. If that happens twice more then my shares have effectively paid for themselves. Personally I think that Fresho could be huge and ALTE we hope will come off soon.
If I had the funds to spare, I would try to buy some at the lower end and then sell some at higher end. Will let you know if I ever manage that. My current average price is 5.42. Bought in a small amount for the special dividend and now waiting for price to recover! , reluctant to sell at a loss.
Even with that ridiculous spread?
Pmd:
Would Top up if I had available funds . Bought in for the special dividend. Rather like the look of this company. May stick around.
Always happens when a share goes ex divided. Usually drops around the price of the divided (in this case 1.5p). Nothing to worry about but with the potential for further news and divided in the near future it's a strong buy for me. Market cap is ridiculously low!
